탄소나노튜브의 니켈 촉매층 수소 플라즈마 전처리조건에 따른 성장특성

We have grown carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with a mocrowave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPECVD) method, which has been regard as one of the most promising candidates for the synthesis of CNTs due to the vertical alignment, the low temperature and the large area growth. We use methane (CH₄) and hydrogen (H₂) gases for the growth of CNTs. 10-nm-thick Ni catalytic layer were deposited on the Ti coated Si substrate by RF magnetron sputtering method. In this work, we repert the effects of pretreatment microwave power on the growth of CNTs. We have pretreated the Ni catalytic layer in different microwave power (600, 700, and 800 W) and, after that, grown asme microwave power (800 W). SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) images show the diameter and density of Ni catalytic layer dependent on their pretreatment conditions. Raman spectroscopy of CNTs shows that ID/IG ratios and G-peak positions vary with pretreatment conditions.

This study was carried out to investigate a synthetic generation of streamflow in the Nackdong river and its branchs. The results of the study are compared with the historical streamflow data and also with synthetic generation values in the annual discharge. The following shows the summerized results. ⑴ The discharge of generated and historical datas has found out equally hydrological persistence-absent by the correlogram, which were random sequence ⑵ The mean value of annual discharge in the point of Nackdong river estuary has come out to be 99,306.5㎥/sec in the 1st and 2nd sequence ⑶ The maximun and minimun value of the generated annual discharge were each 317,075㎥/sec and 23,072.5㎥/sec ⑷ The sum of generated annual discharge has come out to be more about 1.8 persent than the historical records

저자들은 만성골수성백혈병으로 동종 골수이식과 이식편 부전으로 인하여 추가적인 말초혈액 조혈모세포이식을 시행 받은 환자에서 만성 이식편대숙주질환과 그 폐 합병증인 폐색성 세기관지염에 동반된 자발성 기종격동과 피하 기종이 병발한 1예를 경험하였기에 이를 보고하는 바이다. Obstructive lung disorders following after allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) in association with graft- versus-host disease (GVHD) contribute significant morbidity and mortality. We report a case of a 28-year-old man who developed spontaneous pneumomediatinum and subcutaneous emphysema complicating bronchiolitis obliterans after allogeneic BMT. He received an allogeneic BMT for chronic phase of chronic myeloid leukemia. Five months after BMT, he was boostered by allogeneic peripheral blood stem cells from the same donor due to graft failure. One month after the boostering, chronic GVHD developed and were treated with cyclosporine and steroid. The patients developed spontaneous pneumomediatinum and subcutaneous emphysema secondary to severe bronchiolitis obliterans 4 months after boostering donor cells. The air-leak syndromes were recovered by conservative management, including high-flow oxygen.

The experiment was carried out in order to choose fungicides which are proper to be used in flowering time of fruit trees. The effect of fungicides on pollen germination and pollen tube growth was investigated in vitro. The results obtained are as follows : 1. Difolatan-Wp, Lime-sulfur, Captan-Wp and Bordeaux mixture greatly inhibited pollen germination and pollen tube growth. 2. The effect of Daconil-Wp and Zimaneb-Wp on pollen germination and pollen tube growth was not so great as that of Difolatan-Wp, Line-sulfur, Captan-Wp or Bordeaux mixture. 3. Polyram-combi-Wp, Topsin-Wp and Benlate-Wp did not affect pollen germination but these fungicides slightly inhibited pollen tube growth. 4. Polyoxin-Wp significantly increased pollen tube growth but did not show promotive effect on pollen germination.

<P>Although the introduction of stem cell transplantation and novel agents has improved survival, multiple myeloma (MM) is still difficult to cure. Alternative approaches are clearly needed to prolong the survival of patients with MM. Dendritic cell (DC) therapy is a very promising tool immunologically in MM. We developed a method to generate potent DCs with increased Th1 polarization and migration ability for inducing strong myeloma-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes. In this review, we discuss how the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy using DCs can be improved in MM.</P>

Background/Aims: This study evaluated the role of hypomethylating agents (HMA) compared to best supportive care (BSC) for patients with high or very-high (H/VH) risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) according to the Revised International Prognostic Scoring System. Methods: A total of 279 H/VH risk MDS patients registered in the Korean MDS Working Party database were retrospectively analyzed. Results: HMA therapy was administered to 205 patients (73.5%), including 31 patients (11.1%) who then received allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT), while 74 patients (26.5%) received BSC or allo-HCT without HMA. The 3-year overall survival (OS) rates were 53.1% ± 10.7% for allo-HCT with HMA, 75% ± 21.7% for allo-HCT without HMA, 17.3% ± 3.6% for HMA, and 20.8% ± 6.9% for BSC groups (p < 0.001). In the multivariate analysis, only allo-HCT was related with favorable OS (hazard ratio [HR], 0.356; p = 0.002), while very poor cytogenetic risk (HR, 5.696; p = 0.042), age ≥ 65 years (HR, 1.578; p = 0.022), Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status (ECOG PS) 2 to 4 (HR, 2.837; p < 0.001), and transformation to acute myeloid leukemia (AML) (HR, 1.901; p = 0.001) all had an adverse effect on OS. Conclusions: For the H/VH risk group, very poor cytogenetic risk, age ≥ 65 years, ECOG PS 2 to 4, and AML transformation were poor prognostic factors. HMA showed no benefit in terms of OS when compared to BSC. Allo-HCT was the only factor predicting a favorable long-term outcome. The use of HMA therapy did not seem to have an adverse effect on the transplantation outcomes. However, the conclusion of this study should be carefully interpreted and proven by large scale research in the future.

<P>A refractory and resistant disease to conventional induction chemotherapy and relapsed disease are considered as the most important adverse prognostic factors for acute myeloid leukemia (AML). Sixty-one patients (median age, 33.6 yr) with relapsed or refractory AML were treated with the FLAG regimen that consisted of fludarabine (30 mg/m<SUP>2</SUP>, days 1-5), cytarabine (2.0 g/m<SUP>2</SUP>, days 1-5) and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor. Of the treated patients 29 patients (47.5%) achieved complete remission (CR). Higher CR rates were observed for patients with a first or second relapse as compared to patients with a primary refractory response or relapse after stem cell transplantation (HSCT). There was a significant difference in the response rates according to the duration of leukemia-free survival (pre-LFS) before chemotherapy (<I>P</I>=0.05). The recovery time of both neutrophils (≥500/µL) and platelets (≥20,000/µL) required a median of 21 and 18 days, respectively. Treatment-related mortality (TRM) occurred in seven patients (11.4%), of which 71.4% of TRM was caused by an invasive aspergillosis infection. After achieving CR, 18 patients underwent consolidation chemotherapy and six patients underwent allogeneic HSCT. In conclusion, FLAG chemotherapy without idarubicin is a relatively effective and well-tolerated regimen for relapsed or refractory AML and the use of FLAG chemotherapy has allowed intensive post-remission therapy including HSCT.</P>
