<P>The E6 and E7 oncoproteins of human papilloma virus (HPV) type 16 have been known to cooperatively induce the immortalization and transformation of primary keratinocytes. We established an E7 transgenic mouse model to screen HPV-related biomakers using the omics approach. The methods used to identify HPV-modulated factors were genomics analysis by microarray using the Affymetrix 430 2.0 array to screen E7-modulated genes, and proteomics analysis using nano-LC-ESI-MS/MS to screen E7-modulated proteins with the lung tissue of E7 transgenic mice. According to omics data, cyclin B1, cyclin E2, topoisomerase IIα, calnexin, activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule CD166, actinin α1, diaphorase 1, gelsolin, platelet glycoprotein, and annexin A2 and A4 were up-regulated in the E7-Tg mice, while proteoglycan 4, sarcolipin, titin, vimentin, drep 1, troponin and cofilin-1 were down-regulated. We further confirmed the significance of differences between the expression levels of the selected factors in E7-Tg and non-Tg mice by real-time PCR. Genes related to cancer cell adhesion, cell cycle and migration, proliferation and apoptosis, as well as to the intermediate filament network and to endoplasmic reticulum proteins, were selected. Taken together, the results suggest that the E7 oncogene modulates the expression levels of cell cycle-related (cyclin B1, cyclin E2) and cell adhesion- and migration-related (actinin α1, CD166) factors, which may play important roles in cellular transformation in cancer. In addition, the solubilization of the rigid intermediate filament network by specific proteolysis mediated via up-regulating gelsolin and down-regulating cofilin-1, as well as increased levels of endoplasmic reticulum protein calnexin with chaperone functions, might also be involved in E7-lung epithelial cells.</P>

Correlation between balance and thickness of abdominal and quadriceps muscles

본 연구는 서 있는 자세에서 측정된 정적균형과 근육두께(배근육, 넙다리네갈래근)의 상관관계를 확인하였 다. 29명의 건강한 성인 29명이 본 연구에 참여하였으며, 근육두께와 정적균형을 측정하였다. 넙다리곧은근의 근 육 두께는 정적균형체중분포지수와 유의한 상관관계를 나타냈다. 그러나 다른 근육과의 유의한 관계는 발견되지 않았다. 본 연구는 건강한 20대 남성만을 대상으로 하였으며, 그 결과를 다른 연령대에 일반화할 수 없었다. 본 연구의 한계점으로는 근력과 시각이 측정되지 않아 연구의 정확성을 표현하고 결과를 일반화하기에는 무리가 있어 보인다. 향후 연구에서는 대단위의 피험자 수를 대상으로 근력을 추가적으로 측정하여 연구를 진행할 필요가 있다. This study compares the correlation between muscle thickness (abdominal, quadriceps muscle) and how the muscle thickness affects the static balance when the static balance is measured in a standing position. The subjects of study were to select 29 subjects to find out what relationship muscle thickness had on the static balance when measuring muscle thickness and static balance. rectus femoris muscle thickness showed a significant correlation in statically balanced weight distribution index. In this study, only healthy men in their twenties were selected, and the results could not be generalized to other age groups. As a limitation of this study, muscle strength and peripheral vision were not measured, so it seems difficult to express the accuracy of the study and generalize the results. In future studies, the number of subjects and muscle strength should be measured to proceed with the study.
M6A reader hnRNPA2/B1 is essential for porcine embryo development via gene expression regulation

Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein A2/B1 (hnRNPA2/B1) is an N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modification regulator and a key determinant of premRNA processing, mRNA metabolism and transportation in cells. Currently, m6A reader proteins such as hnRNPA2/B1 and YTHDF2 has functional roles in mice embryo. However, the role of hnRNPA2/B1 in porcine embryogenic development are unclear. Here, we investigated the developmental competence and mRNA expression levels in porcine parthenogenetic embryos after hnRNPA2/B1 knock-down. HhnRNPA2/B1 was localized in the nucleus during subsequent embryonic development since zygote stage. After hnRNPA2/B1 knock-down using double stranded RNA injection, blastocyst formation rate decreased than that in the control group. Moreover, hnRNPA2/B1 knock-down embryos show developmental delay after compaction. In blastocyste stage, total cell number was decreased. Interestingly, gene expression patterns revealed that transcription of Pou5f1, Sox2, TRFP2C, Cdx2 and PARD6B decreased without changing the junction protein, ZO1, OCLN, and CDH1. Thus, hnRNPA2/B1 is necessary for porcine early embryo development by regulating gene expression through epigenetic RNA modification.
Ordering mechanism and quantum anomalous Hall effect of magnetically doped topological insulators

<P>We investigate magnetic ordering and the quantum anomalous Hall effect (QAHE) in Cr-doped topological insulators using systematic first-principles calculations, explaining the mechanism responsible for ferromagnetic order and the reason why Sb2Te3 is a better QAHE host than Bi2Se3 or Bi2Te3. We conclude that these magnetic topological insulators have relatively long-range exchange interactions within quintuple layers and weak interactions between quintuple layers. Our analyses for the spin splitting of the topological surface states suggest that the temperature at which the QAHE occurs in these materials can be enhanced significantly by Mo-Cr co-doping.</P>
