      • RFM을 이용한 고해상도 위성영상의 기하보정에 관한 연구

        Manufacturing of the large scale map using the high-resolution satellite data requires high-precision geometric correction, and for this the location ephemeris data as like the location and attitude of the satellite sensor, which is an orbit component model, is needed, but in IKONOS satillite these are not porvided because of the business technology protection. Therefore, in this study, as the basic course for obtaining the ground coordinates from the IKONOS satellite imagery, using the ground control point without the satellite aid data it derived RMF's coefficient in the geometric correction of high-resolution satellite imagery, did the geometric correction using RFM and evaluated accuracy, and then finally it could be gotten the follwing conclusion as the result of evaluating the RMF's usefulness. First, as the result of applying to the least square method, to derive the coefficient of RFM using the ground control point, in the case of using the third order expression, it could derived the exact coefficient value about 0.686 pixel(m) of the root mean square error. Second, as the result of comparing the polynominal expression model and RFM, by using RFM it could improve the root mean square error more than 1.5 pixel. Third, RFM is very sensitive to the Z value information, and it could know that using the polynominal expression is more efficient than RFM is if the Z value infromation is inaccurated.

      • 새로운 Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors의 합성

        노인성 치매의 일종인 alzheimer's disease의 효과적인 억제제를 합성하기 위해 우리는 분자 모델링에 의한 가장 적합한 물질인 m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid를 합성하였다. 출발물질인 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate의 경우 boronic acid의 작용기인 hydroxyl group을 protecting시킴으로써 반응의 안정성을 기하였다. Quarternary ammonium salt는 과량의 methyliodide와 염기 촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시켜 상당히 높은 수율을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 과량의 methyliodide와 염기촉매인 potassium hydrogen carbonate를 사용하여 용매인 methanol에서 반응시킨 결과 boronic acid의 protection없이도 안정하게 반응이 진행되어짐을 확인할 수 있었다. In order to syntheisize a effective inhibotor for alzheimer's disease, we synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 which is designed by molecular modeling form. We protected the hydroxyl group of 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ethlyne glycol to remove the reactivity if hydroxyl group. To synthesize m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4, we reacted 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 with ezcess methyl iodide and potassium hydrogen carbonate as a base-catalyst in methanol. but On executed reaction without protection on hydroxyl group, we found out the result that the hydroxyl group of boronic acid group at 3-aminophenylboronic acid monohydrate 1 didn't react with excess methyliodide. Synthesized m-[(N,N,N-trimethylammonio)phenyl]boronic acid 4 is in progress about biological tests as a plausible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.

        Original Article : The Recovery of Optical Quality after Laser Vision Correction

        Purpose: To evaluate the optical quality after laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) or serial photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) using a double-pass system and to follow the recovery of optical quality after laser vision correction. Methods: This study measured the visual acuity, manifest refraction and optical quality before and one day, one week, one month, and three months after laser vision correction. Optical quality parameters including the modulation transfer function, Strehl ratio and intraocular scattering were evaluated with a double-pass system. Results: This study included 51 eyes that underwent LASIK and 57 that underwent PRK. The optical quality three months post-surgery did not differ significantly between these laser vision correction techniques. Furthermore, the preoperative and postoperative optical quality did not differ significantly in either group. Optical quality recovered within one week after LASIK but took between one and three months to recover after PRK. The optical quality of patients in the PRK group seemed to recover slightly more slowly than their uncorrected distance visual acuity. Conclusions: Optical quality recovers to the preoperative level after laser vision correction, so laser vision correction is efficacious for correcting myopia. The double-pass system is a useful tool for clinical assessment of optical quality.

      • 눈 개회충증 환자에서의 혈청 안지오텐신전환효소 수치 상승

        Purpose: Serum angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) level is regarded as an important disease marker, particularly for sarcoidosis. The purpose of this study was to assess whether high serum ACE levels are present in uveitic patients with ocular toxocariasis. Case summary: Six patients newly diagnosed with ocular toxocariasis within the last three months were investigated. Toxocariasis infection was confirmed by serum laboratory tests in all patients and by additional vitreous sampling in three patients. Three patients showed elevated serum ACE levels. None of these patients suffered any known systemic disease or showed evidence of sarcoidosis as assessed by chest high-resolution computed tomography. Conclusions: Serum ACE level may be elevated in patients with ocular toxocariasis and may serve as a marker of toxocariasis.

        과학과 예술·디자인 융복합 현상에 대한 전문가집단(FGI)의 태도 연구

        과학과 예술 디자인 분야간의 융복합은 인간의 지식을 집약적으로 활용하여 높은 부가 가치를 창출하는 분야인 과학지식 예술디자인 서비스 산업은 일반적으로 무형의 서비스 산업으로 대부분 사람이 가지고 있는 전문적 지식을 바탕으로 최종 소비자에게 직접적으로 전문 서비스를 제공하는 분야들로서 과학지식에 기반한 나노정보 디자인서비스업, 교육정보 디자인서비스업 등들이 대표적 사업들로 분류되어 있다. 따라서 과학과 예술·디자인 융복합 현상에 따른 정책의 개발과 시스템의 구축은 사회, 경제, 문화라는 측면과 과학융합분야에서 매우 중요한 분야이다. 이에 본 연구는 과학과 예술·디자인 융복합 과정에서 발생될 수 있는 갈등과 가치 충돌 등을 해소하고 합리적인 정책의 개발과 시스템 구축을 위한 예비연구의 일환으로 과학과 예술·디자인 융복합 현상에 대한 전문가 집단의 태도연구(FGI)를 실시하였다. 본 연구는 총 설문 대상자 41명의 전문가집단 태도에 관한 SAS 9.3 Chi-square & Fisher"s Exact test 설문응답의 기술통계로서, 전문가집단 태도에 관한 문항들의 내적 신뢰도를 측정하는 크론바흐 알파계수는 0.78로서 내적 신뢰도가 매우 높다고 사료된다. 설문 결과 새로운 융합학문이 형성되는 과정에 가장 중요한 요인으로는 예술디자인 분야와 과학분야 모두 지식기반이 가장 중요하다고 답했으며 두 번째로 구성원들의 네트워크이 중요하다고 답했다. 따라서 과학과 예술·디자인 융복합 현상에 따른 정책의 개발과 시스템의 구축은 사회, 경제, 문화라는 측면과 과학융합분야에서 매우 중요한 분야이며 특히, 예술디자인 분야와 과학분야의 전문가 지식기반 및 그 구성원의 네트워크 구축이 중요한 당면과제로 대두되고 있다. The attitude study of expert group(FGI) about convergence phenomenon of science and art design The convergence of science and art design, which is, the industry of science knowledge and art design which is the field that creates higher added value is generally formlessness service industry based on professional knowledge. The above industries furnish professional service to final consumer directly. Nano information, design service work, and education information design service work based on science knowledge are classified as representative business. Therefore, the policy development and system establishment for convergence phenomenon of science and art design are very important field in convergence science in aspect of society, economy, and culture. At this point, This study establishes the attitude study of expert group(FGI) about convergence phenomenon of science and art design as a part of preliminary study for the settlement of trouble and value conflict, and the policy development and system establishment. This question response study are analyzed as Chi-square and Fisher"s Exact test using sas 9.3. This study is the descriptive statistics about question response bearing high internal validity for the attitude study of expert group(FGI). The result of question response study shows that the most important factor in process of forming new convergence science is the knowledge foundation for both science and art, secondly the network of members. Accordingly, the policy development and system establishment for convergence phenomenon of science and art design in aspect of society, economy, and culture, in the field of science convergence are essence. Especially the construction of professional knowledge and the network of members are rising the significant facing subject.

      • Molecular and Structural Characterization of the Tegumental 20.6-kDa Protein in <i>Clonorchis sinensis</i> as a Potential Druggable Target

        <P>The tegument, representing the membrane-bound outer surface of platyhelminth parasites, plays an important role for the regulation of the host immune response and parasite survival. A comprehensive understanding of tegumental proteins can provide drug candidates for use against helminth-associated diseases, such as clonorchiasis caused by the liver fluke <I>Clonorchis sinensis</I>. However, little is known regarding the physicochemical properties of <I>C. sinensis</I> teguments. In this study, a novel 20.6-kDa tegumental protein of the <I>C. sinensis</I> adult worm (CsTegu20.6) was identified and characterized by molecular and in silico methods. The complete coding sequence of 525 bp was derived from cDNA clones and encodes a protein of 175 amino acids. Homology search using BLASTX showed CsTegu20.6 identity ranging from 29% to 39% with previously-known tegumental proteins in <I>C. sinensis</I>. Domain analysis indicated the presence of a calcium-binding EF-hand domain containing a basic helix-loop-helix structure and a dynein light chain domain exhibiting a ferredoxin fold. We used a modified method to obtain the accurate tertiary structure of the CsTegu20.6 protein because of the unavailability of appropriate templates. The CsTegu20.6 protein sequence was split into two domains based on the disordered region, and then, the structure of each domain was modeled using I-TASSER. A final full-length structure was obtained by combining two structures and refining the whole structure. A refined CsTegu20.6 structure was used to identify a potential CsTegu20.6 inhibitor based on protein structure-compound interaction analysis. The recombinant proteins were expressed in <I>Escherichia coli</I> and purified by nickel-nitrilotriacetic acid affinity chromatography. In <I>C. sinensis</I>, CsTegu20.6 mRNAs were abundant in adult and metacercariae, but not in the egg. Immunohistochemistry revealed that CsTegu20.6 localized to the surface of the tegument in the adult fluke. Collectively, our results contribute to a better understanding of the structural and functional characteristics of CsTegu20.6 and homologs of flukes. One compound is proposed as a putative inhibitor of CsTegu20.6 to facilitate further studies for anthelmintics.</P>

      • Seasonal Prevalence of Mosquitoes Collected from Mosquito Traps in Gyeongsangnam-do Province, Republic of Korea, 2018

        Surveillance of the vectors were conducted at a total of 7 locations from March to November, 2018 in Gyeongnam province. In the surveillance, a total of 13 species belonging to seven genera were collected in a total of 15,935 females and 126.5/trap/night (TI; Trap Index) in 2018. Among the collection sites, a bird refuge in Busan, Eulsukdo recorded the highest TI 230.4 (Species Ratio; SR 60.1%) for Cx. tritaeniorhynchus females in 2018. A Cx. tritaeniorhynchus female collected firstly for 2018 in the nation at the pigsty of Busan at 1st April. In the results of isolation of viral RNA from 12 mosquito species including Cx. tritaeniorhynchus, Cx. pipiens, Ae. vexans, Ae. albopictus, and Oc. togoi. Chaoyang virus was positive at a pool of Ar. subalbatus collected at a bird refuge but negative in the other 543 pools (14,295 individuals) in 2018.

        Case Report : Asymptomatic renal pseudoaneurysm after percutaneous renal biopsy

        A 37-year-old man was referred to Division of Nephrology for a new renal cystic lesion that was found on ultrasonography. Four years prior to presentation, a percutaneous renal biopsy had been performed. Computed tomography scan showed a 4.4-cm-sized renal artery pseudoaneurysm in the left kidney. Selective renal angiography revealed a pseudoaneurysm in the left lower pole of the kidney. The renal pseudoaneurysmwas successfully embolized with coil. Follow-up Doppler ultrasonography showed no internal blood ?ow into the aneurysmal sac. His renal function remained stable after coil embolization.

        Serum osteoprotegerin is associated with vascular stiffness and the onset of new cardiovascular events in hemodialysis patients

        Background/Aims: Osteoprotegerin (OPG) and fetuin-A are vascular calcification regulators that may be related to high cardiovascular (CV) mortality in hemodialysis (HD) patients. We evaluated the relationship between OPG, fetuin-A, and pulse wave velocity (PWV), a marker of vascular stiffness, and determined whether OPG and fetuin-A were independent predictors of CV events in HD patients. Methods: We conducted a prospective observational study in 97 HD patients. OPG and fetuin-A were measured at baseline and arterial stiffness was evaluated by PWV. All patients were stratified into tertiles according to serum OPG levels. Results: A significant trend was observed across increasing serum OPG concentration tertiles for age, HD duration, systolic blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, and PWV. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that diabetes (β= 0.430, p = 0.000) and OPG levels (β= 0.308, p = 0.003) were independently associated with PWV. The frequency of new CV events was significantly higher in the upper OPG tertiles compared with those in the lower OPG tertiles. In Cox proportional hazards analysis, upper tertiles of OPG levels were significantly associated with CV events (hazard ratio = 4.536, p = 0.011). Conclusions: Serum OPG, but not fetuin-A, levels were closely associated with increased vascular stiffness, and higher OPG levels may be independent predictors of new CV events in HD patients.
