Constraint Programming is an appealing technology for modeling and solving various real-world problems, and metaheuristic is the most successful technique available for solving large real-world vehicle routing problems. Constraint Programming and metaheuristic are complementary to each other. This paper describes how iterative improvement techniques can be used in a Constraint Programming framework(ILOG Solver and ILOG Dispatcher) for Vehicle Routing Problem. As local search gets trapped in local solution, the improvement techniques are used in conjunction with metaheuristic method.
Poly(ρ-phenylenesulfide)와 Poly(ρ-phenylene)으로부터 제조된 탄소의 리튬 이온 2차전지 anode 재료로서의 전기화학적 특성

Poly(p-phenylenesulfide)와 poly(p-phenylene)으로부터 제조된 탄소를 리튬이온 2차전지용 음극재료로 사용하여 전기화학적특성을 연구하였다. 이들 고분자들을 질소 분위기하에서 승온속도 2℃/min로 1000℃까지 상승시킨 후, 1시간 동안 탄화시켜 탄소를 제조하였다. Poly(p-phenylene)으로부터 제조된 탄소가 보다 더 규칙적인 구조를 가지기 때문에 Poly(p-phenylenesulfide)으로부터 제조된 탄소보다 더 많은 용량과 충방전 효율을 나타내었다. 수산화리튬과 염화주석(Ⅱ)을 첨가하여 용량의 증가와 충방전 효율의 증가를 가져올 수 있었다. 이중에서 poly(p-phenylene)에 염화주석(Ⅱ)을 첨가시켜 제조된 탄소가 가장 큰 충방전 용량과 충방전 효율의 향상을 가져왔다. Carbon inaterials manufactured from poly(p-phenylene sulfide) and poly(p-phenylene), were studied on electrochemical characteristics as anode materials for lithium ion secondary battery. These polymer precursors were heat treated for 1hr at 1000℃ with the rate 2℃/min under nitrogen atmosphere. Carbon manufactured from poly(p-phenylene) showed higher capacity and coulomb efficiency of charge/discharge than carbon from poly(p-phenylene sulfide) because the former has better ordered structure. Carbon manufactured from polymer precursors adding stannous chloride or lithium hydroxide showed higher capacity and better efficiency of charge/discharge. Also, carbon manufactured by adding stannous chloride to poly(p-phenylene) showed the highest capacity and efficiency of charge/discharge.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A new floor system for steel buildings was developed that can replace conventional concrete deck slab systems. The floor system is designed with a new type of composite panel with a polymeric material filling between the top and bottom steel plates. Its salient features are its light weight and simple installation that reduce structural materials and shorten the construction period. Experiments with various independent variables were performed to evaluate the flexural capacity of the proposed composite panel, and a finite element analysis was also conducted to examine the state of the stresses generated between the steel plate and the polymeric core. The test results showed that the proposed panel exhibited very ductile behavior and maintained its structural integrity even after a maximum load. No other failure mode than the face yielding of the top and bottom steel plates was observed. The bond strength between the polymeric material and the steel plates was confirmed to be sufficient, even without any special surface treatment or any additional shear connectors, to maintain the stability of the proposed panel and to resist the forces generated at the interface between the two materials. Design equations for predicting the flexural strength and stiffness of the proposed panel were proposed, and its suitability was verified. Additionally, the experimentally tested efficient methods for field applications of the proposed panel regarding cutting and joining were presented in this paper.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> A newly developed polymeric material was applied to a steel-polymer hybrid floor panel. </LI> <LI> The hybrid panel exhibited very ductile and stable behavior maintaining its structural integrity. </LI> <LI> The bond strength of polymer was sufficient to resist the forces generated between steel and polymer. </LI> <LI> Design equations for predicting flexural strength and stiffness of the proposed panel were established. </LI> <LI> The experimentally-validated cutting and joining methods for field applications were also presented. </LI> </UL> </P>

Objective We investigated the impact of depressed mood (dysphoria) and loss of interest or pleasure (anhedonia)on the risk of dementia in cognitively-normal elderly individuals. Methods This study included 2,685 cognitively-normal elderly individuals who completed the baseline and 4-year follow-up assessments of the Korean Longitudinal Study on Cognitive Aging and Dementia. We ascertained the presence of dysphoria and anhedonia using the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Inventory. We defined subjective cognitive decline as the presence of subjective cognitive complaints without objective cognitive impairments. We analyzed the association of dysphoria and anhedonia with the risk of cognitive disorders using multinomial logistic regression analysis adjusted for age, sex, education, Cumulative Illness Rating Scale score, Apolipoprotein E genotype, and neuropsychological test performance. Results During the 4-year follow-up period, anhedonia was associated with an approximately twofold higher risk of mild cognitive impairment (OR=2.09, 95% CI=1.20–3.64, p=0.008) and fivefold higher risk of dementia (OR=5.07, 95% CI=1.44–17.92, p=0.012) but was not associated with the risk of subjective cognitive decline. In contrast, dysphoria was associated with an approximately twofold higher risk of subjective cognitive decline (OR=2.06, 95% CI=1.33–3.19, p=0.001) and 1.7-fold higher risk of mild cognitive impairment (OR=1.75, 95% CI=1.00–3.05, p=0.048) but was not associated with the risk of dementia. Conclusion Anhedonia, but not dysphoria, is a risk factor of dementia in cognitively-normal elderly individuals.
Shape and Contact Force Estimation of Inserted Flexible Medical device

Flexible devices such as colonoscopy tube or catheter being inserted into the human-body make contact with the human tissues at several locations. Excessive contact force may damage the human tissues. To cope with this problem, the first aim of this paper is the shape estimation of the flexible body inside the human body using only two electromagnetic sensors. For this, the flexible body is modeled as kinematically redundant manipulator with many joints and links. The second aim is to estimate contact forces at a point, line contact, and multiple points. Cosserat-rod theory is employed to solve this problem. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms is proved through both experiment and simulation for a flexible colonoscopy tube.

Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common, chronic inflammatory skin disorder which is known to be related with epidermal barrier function impairment and abnormal skin immune response. According to previous studies, increased risk of infectious disorder in AD is related with impaired epidermal function, abnormal systemic immune function and lower anti-microbial peptides. Objectives: The aim of our study was to identify the relationship between AD and infectious skin disorders in the reality through a population-based study using sequential pattern mining (SPM). Methods: We obtained population-based data recorded from 2011 to 2013 by the Health Insurance Research and Assessment Agency. SPM was used to identify the comorbidities and to measure the time onset of the comorbidities. Results: Patients with AD had a higher comorbidity of dermatophytosis, molluscum contagiosum, impetigo. AD patients were at higher risk for molluscum contagiosum (adjusted odds ratio (aOR) 5.273), impetigo (aOR 2.852), chicken pox (aOR 2.251), otitis media (aOR 1.748), eczema herpeticum (aOR 1.292) and viral wart (aOR 1.105). Conclusion: Our study demonstrates that AD could increase the risk of infectious disorders and that it might be meaningful for early diagnosis and also for management. In particular, care should be taken because of its high relevance with impetigo, molluscum contagiosum and otitis media which may help AD patients from worsening by preventing and managing them appropriately.
