As a way to improve the safety of automotive and to reduce the weight of vehicles, new forming technologies and advanced materials are in high demand in the automotive industry. However, the advanced strength steel has inferior formability and large springback. In order to overcome such drawbacks, the hot press forming process (HPF) has been being applied for forming of automotive sheet parts. In this work, new equipment was suggested to measure unlimited displacement range compared to previous one which was able to measure only up to 10mm displacement range. The external extensometer connected with grips by wire was applied to equipment so that total strain range was measured up to failure also in high temperature. And the finite element analysis was conducted to characterize the mechanical properties of the HPF steel. Finally, the flow curves were represented by utilizing the Johnson-Cook type equation both in uniform and post-uniform deformation regions.

Additional Data Transmission Based on Sequence Phase Modulation for the ATSC Terrestrial DTV System

<P>Several previous studies have demonstrated that additional low-rate data can be transmitted in Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) terrestrial digital television (DTV) systems by modulating the polarity of the transmitter identification (TxID) signal. Previously proposed additional-data transmission schemes can offer an additional reliable transmission channel, and thus they have a very large coverage area compared to that of a DTV signal. Unfortunately, as the cost of a reliable transmission, they have a limitation in their maximum data rate. In this paper, we propose a new additional data transmission scheme based on sequence phase modulation (SPM) to increase the data rate. The proposed scheme exploits not only the polarity but also the phase of a TxID signal, and thus it significantly enhances the data rate compared to conventional schemes.</P>

The diametral creep of pressure tubes (PTs) in CANDU (CANada Deuterium Uranium) reactors is one of the principal aging mechanisms governing the heat transfer and hydraulic degradation of the heat transport system (HTS). PT diametral creep leads to diametral expansion, which affects the thermal hydraulic characteristics of the coolant channels and the critical heat flux (CHF). The CHF is a major parameter determining the critical channel power (CCP), which is used in the trip setpoint calculations of regional overpower protection (ROP) systems. Therefore, it is essential to predict PT diametral creep in CANDU reactors. PT diametral creep is caused mainly by fast neutron irradiation, temperature and applied stress. The objective of this study was to develop a bundle position-wise linear model (BPLM) to predict PT diametral creep employing previously measured PT diameters and HTS operating conditions. The linear model was optimized using a genetic algorithm and was devised based on a bundle position because it is expected that each bundle position in a PT channel has inherent characteristics. The proposed BPLM for predicting PT diametral creep was confirmed using the operating data of the Wolsung nuclear power plant in Korea. The linear model was able to predict PT diametral creep accurately.

Morbidity and mortality rates associated with acute myocardial infarction accompanying chronic total occlusion are comparatively high. European guidelines recommend primary intervention for the causative lesion in patient with acute myocardial infarction. Therefore, it is important to identify the culprit lesion. We report two cases of myocardial infarction with concurrent chronic total occlusion in an emergency setting.
