        The correlation equations were proposed to predict the flow duration of ungaged basin by regression analysis based on geomorphological factors. The proposed correlation equations give good results in consequence of application in Kagyung stream basin and Samki stream basin. Among the flow duration, the correlation coefficient of fruitful water discharge was the smallest value, on the hand, the correlation coefficient of reference low water flow was appeared to be the largest value. The correlation coefficient including only stream slope S as the independent variable was the smallest value, on the other hand, in the case of including basin area A and stream length L or A, L, S as the independent variable the correlation coefficient appeared to be the largest value and in this case, the two correlation coefficient were very close. These proposed correlation equations can be used to grasp the flow duration by acquiring the geomorphological factors of ungaged stream basin.

        갈바니식 산소센서용 산화음극재료의 연구에 순수한 납, 납-안티몬, 납-안티몬-주석, 납-칼슘의 합금을 사용하였다. 그중에서 납-안티몬 합금이 4M 수산화나트륨 용액중에서 가장 큰 포화전위를 5분안에 나타냈다. 4M 수산화나트륨 용액에 소량의 피로갈롤을 첨가하면 2분안에 포화전위에 도달하는 빠른 응답을 나타냈다. The pure lead, lead-antimony, lead-calcium and lead-antimony-tin aollys have been studied to use as an anodic materials of galvanic oxygen sensors. Among tested materials lead-antimony alloy was shown the highest saturated potential in 4M potassium hydroxide solution and in five minutes. Pyrogallol solution in 4M potassium hydroxide was shown rapid response to be reached the saturated potential in two minutes.

        The ion-selective electrode based on ferric oxide and calcium ferric have been studied to ionic sensitivities, selectivities and response behaviors in aqueous solution. The membrane selectrode of ferric oxide was prepared by using α-ferric hydroxide from ferric nitrate solution at pH 4.5∼6.0 . The membrane were sintered at 1,200℃ and 1,350℃. Calcium ferrite was prepared by mixing ferric oxide with calcium oxide on molar ratio of 0.8 : 0.2 and the selectrode membrane based on calcium ferrite was sintered at 1,100℃ Membrane seletrode of ferric oxide was responded without any selectivity to Ag? Ni?, Ca?, Bi?, Ci?, HCO₃?, CIO₄? and NO₃? ion. Membrane seletrode of calcium ferric responded except sensitivity to Ag?, Be?, Cu?, Cr?, Bi?, HCO₃?, CO??, and S??, but their sensitivities were agreed with Nernstain solpe. The selectrode of calcium ferrite was shown reproducible potential response to ions in the solution for six months

        Multi-dimensional Emotional Intelligence Effects on Intrinsic/Extrinsic Motivation and Job Satisfaction: Analysis Using Laborer Perceived Organizational Support

        Purpose – Based on previous studies, this study extends current research and investigates whether the sub-factors of emotional intelligence increase job satisfaction or employee intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and perceived organizational support. Research design, data, and methodology – This study categorizes service employees' (consultants) emotional intelligence into four sub-factors: regulation of emotion, appraisal of emotion, utilization of emotion, and expression of emotion. The study then investigates the sub-factor effects on job satisfaction. A total of 353 valid questionnaires were collected. Results – The results of the path analysis showed that appraisal, utilization, and expression of emotion had a positive effect on intrinsic motivation, and utilization of emotion had a positive effect on extrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation had a positive effect on perceived organizational support and job satisfaction, and perceived organizational support had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Conclusion – As consultants' utilization of emotion is rendered as the ability to use emotion to improve performance, the conclusion is that such factors as monetary performance incentives are important in order to boost job satisfaction of the consultants.

      • Electronic Band Structure, Optical Properties, and Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production of Barium Niobium Phosphate Compounds (BaO–Nb<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>–P<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>)

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>Barium niobium phosphate compounds (BaNb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>11</SUB> and Ba<SUB>3</SUB>Nb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>18</SUB>), with corner‐sharing NbO<SUB>6</SUB> octahedra as well as PO<SUB>4</SUB> tetrahedra, were prepared by a conventional solid‐state reaction method, and their optical properties, electronic band structure, and photocatalytic activity were investigated. The powders were characterized by X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD), field‐emission SEM (FESEM), high‐resolution TEM (HRTEM), and UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Both compounds exhibit similar optical band gaps, 3.55 eV for BaNb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>11</SUB> and 3.58 eV for Ba<SUB>3</SUB>Nb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>18</SUB>. However, photoluminescence spectra revealed that a radiative recombination process of charge carriers is dominant in Ba<SUB>3</SUB>Nb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>18</SUB> (strong blue‐white emission at 300 K) under UV irradiation, whereas no obvious emission was observed from BaNb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>11</SUB>. The photocatalytic activity for the evolution of H<SUB>2</SUB> from the splitting of pure water was evaluated. BaNb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>11</SUB>, which has a smaller photon emission at room temperature, exhibited a much higher photocatalytic activity than Ba<SUB>3</SUB>Nb<SUB>2</SUB>P<SUB>4</SUB>O<SUB>18</SUB>. The difference in the photocatalytic activity of the two compounds is attributed to their different electronic band structures, resulting from their different crystal‐structure environments.</P>

        세라믹 여재를 이용한 상향류식 여과시스템에 의한 부유물질 제거

        The purpose of this study is to derive the optimal conditions of the design factors of non-point pollution reduction facilities in upflow filtration systems. The physical characteristics of the ceramic media and their preparation were investigated, including measurement of the suspended solids removal efficiency and the associated headloss as well as the recovery period of the headloss, which was assessed by its reduction through backwashing when loading solids. The ceramic media used in the upflow filtration system had a particle diameter of 2 to 4 mm, a specific gravity of 0.633, a uniformity coefficient of 1.26, a porosity of 46.7%, and a permeability coefficient of 1.8 cm/sec. When the height of the filter media layer was 60 cm, the headloss of the filter media was 2.03 cm on average at no load. The assessment of this average accounted for three measurements of 30 minute intervals. The average removal efficiency of suspended solids was 82.9% when the suspended solids inflow concentrations were 150±10 mg/L, 250±10 mg/L, and 300±10 mg/L. Additionally the headloss of the filter media layer was 2.51 cm when the accumulated solids were loaded. Effective washing was achieved when the air washing and backwashing experiments were carried out for 5 minutes at an air flow rate of 5 m3/h and water washing at 4 m3/h, respectively.

      • Tribenzylamine Ionophore를 이용한 pH-ISE의 제조 및 임상응용

        The pH-ISE(ion selective electrode) based on tribenzylamine as a hydrogen ion carrier was prepared and its electrochemical characterization was studied. It responded linearly to hydrogen ions in the range of pH 3.1 - pH 11.0 and the Nernstian slope showed 55.0 mV/pH (at 20 ± 0.2℃), it also showed a fast response time of 8 sec. When it was directly applied to human blood(pH 6.0-8.5), we could get the same satisfying results. A good reproducibility and stability were shown with the precision of 2 mV (±0.1). The pH-ISE based on tribenzylamine exhibited biocompatibility in clinical applications.

        <P>Herein, we report on the synthesis of phase-pure rutile walnut-like TiO<SUB>2</SUB> (W–TiO<SUB>2</SUB>) spheres composed of single-crystalline nanorod-building blocks using a surfactant-free non-aqueous acidic modified “benzyl alcohol route”. Based on the various HCl concentration- and reaction time-dependent experiments, an effect of hydrochloric acid on the phase formation mechanism in a non-aqueous system is suggested.       • 말초혈관 및 관상동맥 폐쇄 환자에서 저밀도지단백 콜레스테롤 선택토석법의 효과 : HELP ( 헤파린 매개성 체외 저밀도지단백 콜레스테롤 피브리노겐 침전법 )

        Background: HELP(Heparin-mediated extracorporeal low-density lipoprotein fibrinogen precipitation) is an LDL apheresis system which has been utilized as a last therapeutic option for drug resistant familial hypercholesterolemia. Recently the scope of treatment has been expanded to the treatment of coronary artery obstructive disease(CAOD) or peripheral arterial obstructive disease(PAOD) with dyslipidemia. Methods: We applied thirteen sessions of HELP therapy to six patients who have symptoms despite proper revascularization of the eligible vessels. The enrolled patients had coronary(n=1) or peripheral arterial obstructive disease(n=5) who have elevated LDL-cholesterol(t150㎎/dL), TG($gt;200㎎/dL) or fibrinogen($gt;350㎎/dL) after drug treatment. Lipoproteins and fibrinogen were measured on plasma samples before and after HELP therapy. Symptomatic changes and objective findings according to Fontaine's classification were recorded before, immediately after and one month after treatment. Results: In every session, LDL-cholesterol level was reduced more than 40%. Mean LDL cholesterols were reduced from 135.3㎎/dL to 47.8㎎/dL(65%). Total cholesterol(98.2㎎/dL; 53% decrease), triglycerides(146.9㎎/dL; 47.5% decrease) and Lp(a)(19.5㎎/dL; 62% decrease) levels were also reduced. However mean HDL cholesterol was reduced only 4.6㎎/dL(16.3%). Fibrinogen decreased 191㎎/dL(58%) without bleeding complications. Patients symptoms evaluated by Fontaine's classification were improved in all pateints with PAOD and resting chest pain was disappeared after treatment in the patient with unstable angina. Side effects were two episodes of dizziness and inadequate drainage through a vein. Conclusion: HELP therapy can be applied in patients who have symptomatic aggravation of PAOD or CAOD with elevated cholesterol, TG or fibrinogen despite proper revasculariztion of eligible vessels.
