        The quality of a food is judged by the consumer according to its appearance, taste and texture. Especially among them, color is recognized as a major factor affecting food acceptance. This study was performed in order to develop a new yanggaeng products having beautiful appearances, attractive flavors, lower calories and healthier functions. We have investigated on the quality characteristics and storage stability of sweet jelly beans(colored yanggaengs) prepared by adding with natural ingredients, such as fruit juices and green tea powder. To obtain various colors and flavors, different ingredients were used such as fruit juices made directly from cherry(red color), orange(orange color, or yellow color), grapes(dark violet color). Also green tea powder(leekgreen color) was purchased from a market. Yanggaengs were prepared by adding these fruit juices or green tea powder, which Azuki bean powder as sediment, non-calorie sugar, and agar-agar products, etc. Color, texture profile analysis, sensory evaluation, viable cell count, and the strength of sample yanggaengs were examined to assess their acceptability for commercial use. In conclusion, the new colored yanggaengs could possess better appearances, flavors and healthier functions, compared with commercial products sold in market. Additionally, they could have lower calories because sugar was not used as a sweetener.

      • 수직 냉각면이 있는 정방형내 성층유체의 열적거동에 관한 실험적 연구

        This study was investigated by experimentals on the thermal behavior of stratified fluids in the square cavity with the vertical cooling surface by variation of initial temperature and cooling surface temperature and concluded as follows: 1. When the cooling surface temperature of the square cavity was -4℃. the supercooling phenomena was occurred every times regardless initial temperature of fluids and when -6℃ freezing was begun with out supercooling phenomena. 2. The higher the initial temperature was, the longer supercooling phenomena duration was, and the longer the supercooling phnomena was, the higher the temperature of the upper fluids was. 3. When the supercooling phenomena of water was occurred, the rate of temperature decrease of silicon oil was higher and when there was no supercooling phenomena, it was almost same the rate of temperature decrease.

      • 장방형내 저온 단일 수평 원관 주위의 동결현상에 관한 실험적 연구

        An experimental study on water in a rectangular cavity with a horizontal cooling tube was carried out to investigate the flow character and thermal behavior in the system. Each experiment was performed with variation of initial temperature and cooling tube temperature. When the cooling tube temperature was -4℃, the supercooling phenomenon was observed regardless of the initial water temperature. And the case of cooling tube temperature was -6℃ with initial temperature was below 4℃, the supercooling phenomenon was also observedin the large region of the test section. When the cooling tube temperature was -10℃, the local region of supercooling phenomenon was observed during the freezing process. And the higher initial temperature was, the higher supercooling degree and the less difference of the ice thickness between upward and downward was observed. It is shown that by controllingthe supercooling phenomena and the cooling tube temperature, it would lead to an increase efficiency of ice making.

      • 심전도의 디지털 기록화 모듈과 개인용컴퓨터 저장/분석시스템의 개발

        연구목적: 현재 우리나라의 의료분야에서는 정보기술의 발전으로 처방 전달 시스템과 전자차트의 활용이 상용화 되고 있으나 병원내에서 가장 많이 처방되고 검사되는 12-유도 심전도의 디지털화와 이에 연계된 심전도 결과의 개인용 컴퓨터로의 저장, 인터넷을 이용한 병원으로의 전송이나 타 기관에서의 심전도 결과의 동시 관찰 등에 관한 기술 등은 개발되지 못한 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 심전도를 디지털화하며 저장이 가능한 PC 모듈을 개발하고 심전도 결과를 병원 전산 시스템에 포함시켜 병원내외에서 편리하게 조회, 검색할 수 있는 디지털 인터페이스를 개발하려 하였다. 재료 및 방법 : 낮은 전력에서 잡음특성이 우수한 대역여파기와 증폭기를 설계하였으며 각종기능이 내장된 고신뢰성 프로세서를 채택하였으며 전원 잡음이 고려된 필터와 전원 회로 설계로 하드웨어를 개발하였다. MSC 6.0과 Visual Basic 6.0을 바탕으로 하여 active X 모듈화를 유도하고 조회용 PC에서의 복원과 PACS로의 연동을 통해 순환기내과용 PACS 개발이 가능하도록 소프트웨어를 준비하였다. 결과: 심전도 검사자가 쉽게 장착, 검사가 가능한 소형화된 측정 모듈을 개발하였고 극저전류에서 동작이 가능하였으며 우수한 데이터의 압축 및 복원률을 구현하였다. 결론: 이번 심전도 디지털 모듈의 개발로 기존의 감광지에 의존하던 심전도 결과의 보존과 보관공간에 의한 경제적인 손실을 상당 부분 해결할 수 있으며 OCS에 연계된 결과로 인해 원내에서의 다면적 진료가 가능하다. 이번 연구에서 개발된 기술은 향후 디지털화된 심전도 기록장치와 같은 고부가 의료장치의 국산화와 광파일 의무기록 시스템이나 검사물의 무선 전송에 채용되어 의료 전달 체계나 응급체계의 발전에 기여하리라 사료된다. Purpose : The progressed communication technology commercialized the order communication system ( OCS) and the electric medical records( EMR) in the field of medicine in Korea. However, technologies of digitalization such as recording to personal computer, transfer to internet and simultaneous observation of electrocardiogram ( ECG) recorded at the different center were not realized yet. This study tried to invent personal computer module that can digitalize and record of the ECG and design the digital interface that can approach and search digitalized ECG in various part of hospital simultaneously. Materials and Methods : We had designed high-fidelity digital filter and amplifier which can work in very low voltage, had selected multifunctioned microprocessor. Activation X modulation was conducted by MSC 6.0 and Visual Basic 6.0. Softwares were prepared for the transfer of ECG informations from terminal PC to PACS and cardiologic PACS was designed for future application. Results : We have developed the small, portable, very low voltage managed ECG module and high quality digitalized information compression software in OCS and PACS. Conclusion : This invented ECG digital archive module can save hospital cost by substitution of ECG papers for digital storage or on-line storage, therefore ECG data can be handled in multisector of the hospital and through telemedicine. This technology can be applied to domestic ECG digitalizing device development and effective medical transfer system by adoption cordless medical information delivery.

        The Current Status of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention in Korea: Based on Year 2014 & 2016 Cohort of Korean Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (K-PCI) Registry

        Background and objectives: In this second report from Korean percutaneous coronary intervention (K-PCI) registry, we sought to describe the updated information of PCI practices and Korean practice pattern of PCI (KP3). Methods: In addition to K-PCI registry of 2014, new cohort of 2016 from 92 participating centers was appended. Demographic and procedural information, as well as in-hospital outcomes, of PCI was collected using a web-based reporting system. KP3 class C was defined as any strategy with less evidence from randomized trials and more aggressive for PCI than medical therapy or bypass-surgery. Results: In 2016, total 48,823 PCI procedures were performed at 92 participating centers. Mean age of the patients was 65.7±11.6 years, and 71.7% were males. Overall patient characteristics and PCI practices in 2016 were similar to those in 2014. The biggest change was the decrease in the in-hospital occurrence of myocardial infarction (MI;1.6%→0.7%, p<0.001). Many associations between PCI volumes and demographic/procedural characteristics observed in 2014 have disappeared. The median of door-to-balloon time was 62 minutes, and 83.3% of ST-elevation MI patients received primary PCI within 90 minutes, while the median of total ischemic time was 168 minutes and patients who had total ischemic time within 120 and 180 minutes were 29.1% and 54.1%, respectively. The proportion of KP3 class C cases in non-acute coronary syndrome patients decreased from 13.5% in 2014 to 12.1% in 2016 (p<0.001). Conclusions: In this second report from K-PCI registry, we described the current practices of PCI and changes from 2014 to 2016 in Korea.

        A metallic buildup cap for glass rod dosimeters in radiotherapeutic in vivo dosimetry

        In vivo measurement of radiotherapeutic doses is an important procedure for ensuring the accuracy of radiation treatments. The glass rod dosimeter is a known dosimeter for in vivo dosimetry, which has high reproducibility and low dependencies with respect to major radiotherapeutic conditions. A hemispherical buildup cap made of brass was fabricated to avoid a large measurement error owing to the partial lack of buildup effect during the measurement on the patient’s skin. The correction factors (CFs) were experimentally obtained and verified using a Monte Carlo simulation. A clinical trial was performed with 117 patients. As a result, the measured CF was consistent with the simulation by a 2.3% error, and the mean errors of each site were within 2%. The total mean error was 1.84%, with a standard deviation of 1.39%. To conclude, this methodology can provide high accuracy and convenience in radiotherapeutic in vivo measurements.

      • The Feasibility of Interference Alignment for MIMO Interfering Broadcast—Multiple-Access Channels

        <P>The feasibility conditions of interference alignment (IA) are analyzed for interfering broadcast-multiple-access channels in which one cell operates as downlink but the other cell operates as uplink. Under a general multiple-input and multiple-output antenna configuration, a necessary condition and a sufficient condition for one-shot linear IA are established, i.e., linear IA without symbol or time extension. In various example networks of interest, the optimal sum degrees of freedom (DoFs) are characterized by the derived necessary condition and sufficient condition. For symmetric DoF within each cell, a sufficient condition is established in a more compact expression, which yields the necessary and sufficient condition for a class of symmetric DoFs. An iterative construction of transmit and receive beamforming vectors is further proposed, which provides a specific beamforming design satisfying one-shot IA. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed IA not only achieves larger DoF, but also significantly improves the sum rate over the single-cell operation in the practical signal-to-noise ratio regime.</P>

      • Enhanced optical output performance in InGaN/GaN light-emitting diode embedded with SiO2nanoparticles.

        <P>We demonstrated the InGaN/GaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with SiO2 nanoparticles embedded in nanopillar GaN template. With the SiO2 nanoparticles placed between the GaN nanopillars, subsequent overgrowth of GaN layer started only on the exposed tips of the nanopillars and rapidly switched to the lateral growth mode. This resulted in a high quality GaN layer 'sitting' on the nanopillars and the layer of pores formed over the SiO2 nanoparticles. For multi-quantum-well LEDs grown on top of such template, ~3 fold increase in optical output was observed compared to reference samples. The effect is attributed mainly to the improved light extraction efficiency due to additional scattering in the nanopillars-SiO2-pores portion of the structure, also to the increased internal quantum efficiency caused by a decreased dislocation density and relaxed strain due to the GaN nanopillars.</P>
