      • 카이로프랙틱 전공 대학생들의 디지털 방사선 영상 시스템에 대한 인식도 조사

        The information age is here, and information system has been playing an important role in the modern hospitals. Especially, picture archiving and communications system (PACS) has already brought about a great innovation in medical images field by converting medical images into digital manner. Digital radiographic system is representative PACS, and the use of digital radiographic system is gradually increasing. Therefore, in the present study, we investigated the chiropractic student's perception of digital radiographic system, and intended to provide the fundamental data for using digital radiographic system. We carried out a survey targeting university students who major in the chiropractic. In the present study, most of surveyed students reported that digital radiographic system was easier and more useful for storage and management compared to analog system. So, most of respondents perceived that the education on the application of digital radiographic system is necessary for chiropractic students. On the other hand, most of them evaluated that digital radiographic system had little effect on the economical and environmental aspects. From these results, it can be suggested that further study on the effect of digital radiographic system on the economical and environmental aspects will be required, and it will be necessary to publicize the economical and environmental benefits of digital radiographic system.

      • 대장암종에서 SUMO-2/3 발현에 대한 면역조직화학적 연구

        Objective: The incidence of colorectal carcinomas continues to rise in Korea due to the westernized life style. However, the precise colorectal carcinogenic mechanisms remain to be elucidated. The protein products of oncogenes and cancer suppressor genes play important roles in the carcinogenesis. The effects of the proteins are influenced by post-translational modifications as phosphorylation, acetylation, methylation, and ubiquitination. The aberrant sumoylation plays some roles in carcinogenesis. However, the expression pattern of small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO)-2/3 in the colorectal cancer has not been reported. We assessed the expression of SUMO-2/3 and evaluated the expression pattern in colorectal cancer. Methods: The SUMO-2/3 expression was tested in one normal colon mucosal cell line and 5 colorectal cancer cell lines by Western blot. We collected 322 cases of colorectal cancer operated from January 2000 to December 2010 at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital. We fabricated the tissue microarray and the expression of SUMO-2/3 was evaluated by immunohistochemistry. The results were analyzed with clinicopathologic parameters. Results: The SUMO-2/3 was not expressed in the normal colon mucosal cell line. However, it was expressed highly in all the 5 colorectal cancer cell lines as the beta-actin. The SUMO-2/3 was expressed in 68.3% of the colorectal cancers and its expression was correlated with the pT stage (odds ratio, 2.89; 95% confidence interval, 1.10 to 7.55; P = 0.031). Conclusion: The SUMO-2/3 plays some roles in carcinogenesis and progression of the colorectal cancer.

        추나(推拿)와 안마(按摩)에 대한 고찰

        본 논문에서는 안마와 추나의 차이점과 추나학의 문학적, 의학적 의미를 통해 인류의 가장 오래된 한 부분의 의료방법을 고찰하였다. 추나는 2700여 년 전부터 의료행위로 활용되었으며, 한의학 경전인 황제내경(皇帝內經) <소문(素問)>편에 보인 도인안법(導引按法)의 “도인”이란 근골을 돌려주고 사지 관간이 흘러감에 따라 도인행기법의 기공으로 발전하고 안교나 교마의 안병마를 거쳐 “추나(推拿)”로 발전되어 왔으며, 모두 음양론에 입각한 한의학의 기본 원리를 근간으로 하였다. 추나는 고대에 안마(按摩) 또는 안교(按蹺)라 했다. 이와 같이 추나학(推拿學)은 중의학의 중요한 조성 부분이다. 추나학은 중의학 이론체계의 형성에 대량의 의료실적과 당시 철학사상을 기본으로 하여 체계화 되었다. 운동, 압박 또는 지압을 통하여 통증을 감소시킬 목적으로 행하는 행위를 추나요법이라고 정의할 수 있으며, 임상에서 근골격계 문제를 해결할 수 있는 보존적인 치료법 중의 하나로 비교적 안정한 것으로 알려져 있다. 추나 요법은 오랜 기간 임상에 의한 발전되어 만들어진 것이며, 상황과 병인의 상태에 따라 추나 요법을 적용하는 방법 또한 체계화 되었다. This thesis aims to study one of the oldest medical treatment in human history by considering difference between massage and Chuna, and literary and medical meaning of Chuna manual medicine. Chuna is one of the oldest medical practice. It has been used as a medical treatment since about 2,700 years ago, and according to Su-wen (素問) of Hwangje-Naegyeong (黃帝內經), thus Taoist massage (導引按法) has been developed. "Taoist" of Taoist massage means that bones and sinews are turned, and it developed into Taoist Yoga with the lapse of time and then "Chuna (推拿)" after Angyo or Anbyeongma, which are based on fundamentals of oriental medicine from yin and yang. Chuna was called ancient massage or Angyo. Chuna manual medicine is the major component of Chinese medicine. Chuna manual medicine was systematized with large medical records of Chinese medicine and comtemporary philosophical ideas. It can be defined as the act to reduce pain through exercise, pressure or acupressure, and it is known in the clinical area that the therapy is one of the conservative treatments to resolve musculoskeletal disorders and relatively stable. These methods are formed through a long period of clinical experience, and how to apply Chuna therapy is also systematized according to conditions and causes of diseases. The correct meaning of Chuna should not be confused by studying Chuna manual medicine which was systematized and developed as one of the oldest treatment in various manners.

      • 카이로프랙틱 교정과 요통 운동요법이 통학 대학생들의 요추전만각, 요추중심선, 관절가동범위 및 통증정도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of chiropractic manipulative therapy and low back exercise on lumbar lodortic angle, gravity line, ROM, and pain degree in university students using a commuter bus. In the present study, thirty participants who use a commuter bus and complain of low back pain were randomly divided into the chiropractic group and the exercise group. We provided chiropractic care for fifteen participants in the chiropractic group twice per week, and low back exercise for fifteen participants in the exercise group three times per week for 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, we compared the lumbar lodortic angle, gravity line, lumbar range of motions (ROMs), and pain degree scale between pre- and post-tests. In the present results, both chiropractic manipulative therapy and low back exercise significantly improved lumbar ROMs, and alleviated low back pain. From these results, it can be inferred that chiropractic manipulative therapy and low back exercise may be beneficial for university students with low back pain using a commuter bus.

      • 콥스 각과 무명선 수직 길이 측정에 의한 디지털 방사선 응용 프로그램과 수기측정법의 유효성과 신뢰도에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to assess the reliability of manual and digital methods in measuring Cobb's angle and Innominate vertical length. Fifteen chiropractic student observers measured the Cobb's angle and Innominate vertical length using both the digital and the film manual methods. Ten whole spine AP X-ray images from idiopathic scoliosis were chosen without predilection for magnitude of the curvature, gender, age or location. Each image was examined 3 times at a minimum interval of 1 day between repeated measurements, by each observer. For the digital measurement, ‘X-maruViewerV1 for chiropractic’ which specific software was developed to digitally reproduce the chiropractic assessment was used, and for the manual measurement, protractor, Gonstead ruler were used. For reliability of inter and intraobserver correlation coefficients(ICC) were calculated. Standard Error of Measurements(SEM) within and between observers' measurements was analyzed. The validity of manual and digital measurement was assessed by Student t-test. Statistical indexes of Student t-test, intra and interobserver did not reveal statistically significant differences between manual and digital measurements. This indicates that the statistical indexes calculated for the two methods had similar results. Previous study showed that Cobb's angle measurements may be reproduced in the computer as reliably as with the film manual method, in similar conditions to those found in clinical practice. The result of this study confirms the reliability of digital radiographic imaging software which can be used in chiropractic studying system as well as clinical practice.

      • 수기요법, 액티베이터, 임펄스건이 경추의 가동범위에 미치는 영향

        The main purpose this study is to investigate the effects of chiropractic spinal manipulation on the cervical active range of motion. There were 87 participants in this study and divided into three groups. The results were as follows for the activator treatment group (n=28), there was a significant difference before and after treatment (p<0.05), spinal manipulation group (n=29), there was a significant difference before and after treatment (p<0.05) and impulse gun treatment group (n=30), there was a significant difference before and after treatment (p<0.05). In conclusion, the impulse gun treatment group shows a better result on improving cervical active range of motion compare to the other treatment groups. This study suggests that the impulse gun treatment is an effective and useful method to help the patients in the chiropractic clinic.
