Integrated process for simultaneous production of jet fuel range alkenes and N-methylformanilide using biomass-derived gamma-valerolactone

An integrated process is developed for co-producing jet fuel range alkenes (JFA) and N-methylformanilide(NMF) using biomass-derived gamma-valerolactone (GVL). Based on lab-scale experiments, acommercial-scale process is designed, consisting of catalytic conversion (biomass-to-GVL, GVL-to-JFA,and CO2-to-NMF) and separation subsystems (to capture CO2 fromflue gases and recover GVL, JFA, andNMF). Energy efficiency analysis shows that the integrated process has a high energy efficiency (65.6%)after heat integration transferring heat between subsystems. Economic analysis shows that theminimum selling price of NMF ($2,668.3/Mt even if using the worst possible parameters) for theintegrated process is cost-competitive with the current market price.

신경가동술과 관절가동술이 경추 신경근병증 환자의 기능장애, 통증, 관절가동범위에 미치는 영향

Purpose: The study aimed to investigate the effects of neural mobilization with joint mobilization on dysfunction, pain, and range of motion in cervical radiculopathy patients. Methods: Forty-seven cervical radiculopathy patients were recruited for the study. The subjects were randomly allocated to three groups. Group A (n=16) received a neural mobilization with joint mobilization, Group B (n=15) received a neural mobilization (NM), Group C (n=16) received a joint mobilization (JM). All groups had five sets for a day, three days a week, for four weeks. All subjects were evaluated before and after intervention by their neck disability index (NDI), numeric pain rating scale (NPRS), and range of motion (ROM). Results: The results were as follows: First, the NDI was significantly decreased in all groups (p<0.05). Group A had more significantly decreased NDI than Group B and C (p<0.05). Secondly, the NPRS was significantly decreased in all groups (p<0.05). Group A had more significantly decreased cervical NPRS than Group B (p<0.05). Groups A and B were more effective at decreasing upper extremity NPRS than Group C (p<0.05). Thirdly, the ROM was significantly increased in all the groups (p<0.05). Group A had more significantly improved cervical rotation ROM than Group B (p<0.05). Significant short-term effects of the NM with JM on dysfunction, pain, and range of motion in cervical radiculopathy patients were recorded in this study. Conclusion: These findings gave some indications that it may be feasible to include NM with JM in interventions with cervical radiculopathy patients.

Korean medicine treatment, including Nangan-jeon, of chronic constipation and abdominal pain in Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome : A case report

This case study reports the effects of complex Korean medicine treatment, including Nangan-jeon, on Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome (LEMS) accompanied by chronic constipation and abdominal pain as the main symptoms. A 39-year-old woman diagnosed with LEMS with major symptoms, including chronic constipation and acute abdominal pain, received Western treatment. The treatment efficacy was weak and symptoms recurred, so the patient received outpatient treatment and 13 days of hospitalization for active Korean medicine treatment, including Nangan-jeon. During outpatient treatment and hospitalization, defecation frequency and the numeric rating scale (NRS) for abdominal pain and abdominal cold feeling were measured. The NRS for abdominal pain and cold decreased from 8 at admission to 3 and 0, respectively, at discharge. Defecation frequency increased significantly from once or twice a month to once every 2-3 days during hospitalization. This study results that complex Korean medicine treatment, including Nangan-jeon may be useful for treating patients who mainly complain of autonomic neurological symptoms, among patients diagnosed with LEMS. In addition, it is believed that it could be basic data applicable to more LEMS patient treatment cases.

무기체계 내장형 소프트웨어 신뢰성 시험 오검출 오류 분석

무기체계에 다양하고 정밀한 기능에 대한 요구사항이 증가함에 따라 주요 기능을 하드웨어로 구현하기보단 내장된 소프트웨어를 통해 구현 방식이 증가하고 있다. 내장형 소프트웨어는 특정의 하드웨어 만을 지원하기 위해 탑재되는 소프트웨어임에 따라 제공된 개발 환경과 하드웨어에 따른 제약사항이 존재한다. 반면, 소프트웨어 신뢰성 시험은 개발 언어별로 표준이 정해져 있으며 대상 체계의 특성과 다양한 개발환경을 고려하고 있지 않다. 이러한 이유로 인해 소프트웨어 신뢰성 정적 분석에서 실제 오류가 존재하지 않지만 오류라고 보고되는 오검출 오류가 발생한다. 이러한 오검출 오류는 미처 고려되지 못한 추가 비용이 발생하거나 오검출 수정시 부적절한 우회조치로 인해 코드 품질을 떨어뜨리는 경우가 종종 발생한다. 본 연구는 무기체계 소프트웨어 신뢰성 정적 시험을 소개하고 무기체계 내장형 소프트웨어 정적 시험을 수행하면서 발생된 오검출 오류들을 분석하고 이를 극복할 대안을 제시하고자 한다.

여가교육을 위한 가치·태도·행동에 관한 연구: Generation Z 중심으로

The purpose of this study has been based on analyze the relationship between the leisure values, attitudes, and behaviors of Generation Z. For 7 days from November 08, 2022, online leisure participants of Generation Z were selected as subjects and a sample of 220 people was collected through random sampling. The collected data were analyzed using SPSSWIN and AMOS programs. First, it was found that the utility value of the Gen Z leisure participants did not affect their attitude. Second, it was found that the hedonistic value of the Gen Z leisure participants had a positive effect on their attitude. Finally, it was found that the attitude of the Gen Z leisure participants had a positive effect on their behavioral intentions. In conclusion, it is judged that it is essential to increase the behavioral intention through the hedonistic values and positive attitudes of the Gen Z leisure participants for leisure education.

스포츠 선수들의 가족여가의 중요성에 대한 의미 탐색 : 골프선수 중심으로

The purpose of this study is to phenomenologically analyze the meaning of family leisure for golf players. From January to March 2022, a total of 6 participants who had family leisure activities were selected through the snowball sampling method. In-depth interviews were conducted for data collection. First, the interview contents were organized and analyzed. Second, domains were classified according to major themes or phenomena. Finally, classification was performed to derive meaningful interpretation and research results. As a result of the analysis, 'leisure perception', 'leisure time for leisure', and 'with family' were drawn as the results. In conclusion, the positive leisure perception of golf players and the important meaning of family leisure activities were confirmed. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the perception of new leisure academically and continuously present related research questions. 본 연구의 목적은 골프선수들의 가족여가에 대한 의미를 현상학적으로 분석하는 것이다. 2022년 1월부터 3월까지 눈덩이 표본추출법을 통해 가족 여가활동 경험이 있는 참여자를 총 6명으로 선정하였다. 자료는 심층면접을 통해 수집하였다. 첫째, 인터뷰를 통해 얻은 내용을 코딩을 통해 정리하고 분석하였다. 둘째, 주요 주제나 현상에 따라 영역을 분류하였다. 마지막으로 의미 있는 해석과 연구 결과를 도출하기 위해 분류를 수행하였다. 분석 결과 '여가에 대한 인식', '여가에 대한 시간적 여유, '가족과 함께' 가 결과로 도출되었다. 결론적으로 골프선수들의 긍정적인 여가 인식과 가족 여가활동의 중요한 의미를 확인하였다. 이에 따라 학문적으로 새로운 여가인식을 분석하고 관련 연구문 제를 지속적으로 제시해야 한다.

역 프라이자흐 모델을 이용한 히스테리시스 전동기의 동기 진입 후 루프 시뮬레이션

The output of the hysteresis motor decreases after entering the synchronous speed. This means that the area of the rotor B-H loop is reduced to fit the load. For the dynamic analysis of this motor, the loop area needs to be calculated to determine the output. However, the studies so far did not consider the variation of the hystreresis loop after synchronization or just simplifies the minor loops as a line with constant permeability. In this study, an algorithm that can simulate the actual loop variance is proposed using the inverse Preisach model for more realistic simulation. When the motor speed becomes synchronous speed, the phase of flux density is reduced, then for each point the minor loop is calculated and the corresponded magnetic field intensity is calculated. It was confirmed that more realistic synchronous entry loop simulation can be performed by comparing with the Kataoka approach.

Nowadays, implantable hearing aids have been developed to solve the problems of conventional hearing aids. In case of fully implantable hearing aids, an implantable microphone is necessary to receive sound signal beneath the skin. Normally, an implantable microphone has poor frequency response characteristics in high frequency bands of acoustic signal due to the high frequency attenuation effect of skin after implantation to human body. In this paper, the implantable microphone is designed to reduce the high frequency attenuation effect of a skin by putting its resonance frequency at the attenuated range through a finite element analysis (FEA) simulation. The designed implantable microphone through the simulated results has been fabricated by manufacturing process using bio-compatible materials. By the several in-vitro experiments with pig skin, it has been verified that the designed implantable microphone has a resonance frequency around the starting part of the attenuated range and reduces the attenuation effect.

SNS 이용자들의 인플루언서 대인신뢰, 브랜드이미지 및 구매의도와의 관계

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among SNS users' interpersonal trust, brand image and purchase intention. A total of 335 questionnaires were collected during 6 days by Embrain online research company. Collected data were analyzed by SPSSWIN and AMOS program and frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, validity test, correlation analysis and structural equation model analysis were performed. The results of verifying the relationship among variables are as follows. First, SNS users' interpersonal trust in influencers had positively influenced by brand image. Second, brand image sold by influencers had positively influenced by purchase intention. Third, SNS users’ interpersonal trust in influencers had a significant effect on purchase intention. 본 연구는 SNS 이용자들의 인플루언서 대인신뢰, 브랜드이미지 및 구매의도에 대한 관계를 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 온라인 리서치 전문 회사 Embrain을 통해 온라인 설문조사를 수집하였다. 2019년 6월 25일부터 7월 2일까지 6일간 온라인을 통해 실시하였으며, 총 335부를 자료로 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSSWIN 프로그램과 AMOS 를 이용하여 자료를 분석하였으며, 빈도분석, 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계분석, 구조방정식모형분석 및 경로분석을 실시하였다. 변인 간 관계를 검증한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, SNS 이용자들의 인플루언서 대인신뢰는 브랜드이미지에 정(+)의 영향에 미친다고 나타났다. 둘째, 인플루언서들이 판매하는 브랜드의 이미지가 구매의도에 정(+)의 영향에 미친다고 나타났다. 셋째, SNS 이용자들의 인플루언서 대인신뢰는 구매의도에 정(+)의 영향에 미친다고 나타났다.
