Purpose: To assess the refractive outcome of cataract surgery employing IOL master and A-scans in diabetic and non-diabetic patients Methods: The retrospective comparative study included 205 eyes of consecutive patients who had uneventful cataract surgery implanting I-Flex IOL. Axial length was measured with IOL master and A-scan and IOL power was calculated using various formulas (SRK II, SRK/T, Haigis, Holladay). Subjects was separated into five groups according to axial length, and then the groups were divided into diabetic and non-diabetic subgroups. Differences between the predicted refraction and the actual refraction were compared and analyzed at two months after the operation. Results: The mean absolute errors (MAE) of ten groups showed no significant differences. Comparing diabetic groups and non-diabetic groups, there were no statistically significant differences. Also the result of the two modalities, IOL master and A-scan, were not different in statistical analysis. Conclusions: In diabetic and non-diabetic patients, IOL master and A-scan may be the accurate methods for calculating IOL power regardless of the axial length. Formaldehyde is contained in various everyday products such as shampoos, detergents, leathers and papers, and is thought to be one of the important couses of clothing related contact dermatitis(ACD). The results about the minimum sensitizing concentrations of formaldehyde were different, and the concentration of 30 pg per gram of textiles was the least one. We measured the quantity of formaldehyde in 16 different types of textiles which are widely used in Korea to investigate whether the textiles contain an enough amount of formaldehyde to induce ACD and washing can reduce the amount of it. The results were as follows : 1. The quantity of formaldehyde ranged from 3 to 1246 pg per gram of textiles. 2. Three types textiles contained more than 100pg of formaldehyde per gram of textiles and 6 between 50 pg and 100pg. 3. 1.00% cotton, ramie and rayon contained the highest content of formaldehyde per gram fabric. 4. 적외선 광학렌즈와 칼코지나이드 기반 광학유리의 상관 관계

Infrared optical glass properties such as refractive index and dispersion value are key factors in designing infrared optical lenses. Until now, infrared optical lenses successfully have been developed using chalcogenide glass materials such as Ge, As, Sb, S, and Se elements. Trends using corelation between dispersion and abbe number was described using standard Abbe diagrams for broad band spectrum. However, it was reported that dramatic changes to Abbe diagram depending on which band is examined. In this report, newly developed chalcogenide optical glass with low or high dispersion was applied to a new diagram. The effect was investigated by selecting two infrared optical materials that can reduce chromatic Abberations when designing an chromatic lens. It was found that chalcogenide glasses tended to suppress chromatic abberations in comparing with commercial crystal materials, such as ZnSe, ZnS used.
생쥐의 귀부종 반응을 이용한 일광차단제의 자외선 차단 효과에 대한 연구

This study was undertaken to investigate the efficacy of 5% PABA cream using mouse ear swelling reaction(ESR). Mice were exposed to 100mJ/cm of UVB, five times a week for four weeks, on the both ventral aspect of the ear, with application of 5% PABA cream on the right ear. The results were as follows : 1. The intensity of ear swelling reaction of 5% PABA protected group was reduced greater than unproteeted group after the first 3 days of UUR. 2. The intensity of ear swelling reached at peak after 1 week of the ultraviolet radiation. Thereafter it has decreased gradually the following 4 weeks. The difference of ear swelling between the two groups was the greatest after 1 week, and the sunscreening efficacy of 5% PABA cream has remained persisted for 4 weeks. 3. The number of mice which have shown severe inflarnmatory response after ultravioiet radiation was more in unprotected group than that in 5% PABA protected group. 4. Determination of mouse ESR is considered a good method for the evaluation of longterm efficacy of sunscreen preparation. (Kor J Dermatol 28(4): 419 424, 1990)
전통시장 활성화를 위한 브랜드 아이덴티티 개발 -진주 자유 시장 사례-

연구배경 본 연구의 목적은 지역 전통시장의 하나인 진주 자유 시장의 브랜드 아이덴티티 개발을 통해 새로운 브랜드 가치를 창출하여 전통시장 활성화에 기여하기 위한 것이다. 연구방법 전통시장의 현황과 브랜드 아이덴티티의 개념에 대해 고찰하였다. 그리고 전통시장의 브랜드 아이덴티티 개발 현황을 분석하였다. 디자인 개발을 진행할 진주 자유 시장을 방문하여 사진 촬영, 관찰, 그리고 시장 상인회와의 인터뷰 등을 진행 한 후 로고 디자인을 개발하였다. 연구결과 시각적 표현 요소에 중점을 둔 진주 자유 시장의 브랜드 아이덴티티를 개발하였다. 진주의 역사적 이미지와 캘리그래피가 적용된 현대적인 감각의 심벌과 가독성 및 주목성을 고려한 로고 타입을 디자인하였다. 그리고 심벌과 로고 타입의 조합형을 로고 디자인으로 제시하였다. 홍보 전략으로서 홍보 상품, 패키지, 간판, 배너, 그리고 시장 안내도 등의 디자인을 제안하였다. 결론 진주 자유 시장의 특성을 살린 로고 디자인의 개발을 통해 지역 전통시장으로서의 새로운 정체성 확립에 기여할 것이다. Background: This study attempts to develop the brand identity of the Jinju Jayu Market to create brand value and contribute to the revitalization of the local traditional market. Methods Research of the traditional market and brand identity, in combination with a field survey of the market through observation, photography, and interviews. The market`s brand identity was developed based on these studies. Result This study, focusing on the visual expressive factors, developed a brand identity, such as symbol mark, logo type, and logo. Symbol which was adapted calligraphy and modern design was developed. Logo type was designed with increasing readability and attractiveness. Lastly, logo combining symbol and logo type was suggested. The shopping baskets used in the new logo system were designed and produced for promotion. Designs of promotional gifts, packages, banners, and front sign designs were suggested for an integrated marketing strategy. Conclusion Developing the brand identity of the Jinju Jayu Market will help in establishing a new identity of the traditional market, using local identity, and calligraphy.
