자아개념 증진을 위한 W-SET 시스템의 설계 및 구현

정보 통신 기술이 빠른 속도로 발전함에 따라 교육의 페러다임이 변하고 있다. 학교현장에서는 교수-학습을 위하여 웹활용에 대한 많은 자료와 방법들이 개발되고 있고, 활발한 논의가 되고 있지만 우리 아이들의 정의적 측면을 신장시키는데 웹활용 교육은 상대적으로 소홀한 측면이 있었다. 자아 개념 증진을 위한 선행연구들의 공통점은 off-line에서 실시되기 때문에 정보의 공유가 어렵고, 향상된 형태의 프로그램으로 발전하는데 제약이 있다. 본 연구에서는 선행연구들의 단점을 보완한 W-SET(웹기반 자기 표현 훈련)시스템을 설계 구현하였다. 이 시스템을 충북 청주시내 초등학교 학생들에게 실험 적용한 결과, 자아개념 형성에 긍정적인 효과를 가져왔다. The paradigm of education has changed with the progress of the information and communication technology. In school, there has been developing and animately discussing many data and ways of using web-practicality for teaching and learning. On the other hand, relatively, there are negligent faces about web-practicality for extension of emotion and will of our children. The common points of pre-studies about the increase of self-concept show that it is difficult to join all of the information because the work is off-line, therefore limiting it's advance so that the program is improved. This study has designed and embodied the system of web based self-expression training program. The result of application of this system has showed the positive effect on formation of self-concept of Cheongju elementary school students.

Comparison of Cultural Acceptability for Educational Robots between Europe and Korea

Europeans are much more rigid in their thinking on robots and especially have a negative view on robots as peers since they regard robots as labor machines. Recently, Korea invented several educational robots as peer tutors. Therefore, study was needed to determine the difference in cultural acceptability for educational robots between Korea and Europe (Spain). We found that Europe seems to be much more rigid in its thinking on robots and especially has a negative view on educational robots. Korean parents have a strong tendency to see robots as 'the friend of children,' while on the other hand, European parents tend to see educational robots as 'machines or electronics'. Meanwhile, the expectation of children on educational robots showing identification content was higher in Europe than in Korea since European children are familiar with costume parties. This result implied that we may find a Korean market for educational robots earlier than a European market, but European children will be eager to play with educational robots even though their parents have a negative view of them.

컴퓨터활용교육 2, 4 : 로봇 보조학습 콘텐츠의 비언어적 메시지 유형 및 제작방향

로봇 기술과 시장의 비약적인 발전으로 교육 현장에까지도 로봇이 이용되고 있다. 그러나 로봇 보조 학습콘텐츠는 교육적 기준이 없이 개발되고 있기 때문에 만족하는 품질을 보장할 수 없으며 로봇이 갖고 있는 장점을 극대화하기 위한 비언어적 메시지가 포함된 콘텐츠 개발 기준이 시급하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 로봇보조학습 콘텐츠의 비언어적 메시지 유형과 제작방향에 대하여 제안한다. 이것은 로봇 보조학습 콘텐츠 평가 준거 개발을 위한 기준으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술과 로봇 기술의 발달과 함께 지능형 로봇은 여러 분야에서 활용되고 있고, 점차 그 범위가 확대될 것으로 예견된다. 많은 서비스 로봇들 중에서 교육용 로봇을 이용한 r-Learning의 개념과 함께 다양한 필드 스터디가 이루어지고 있다. 현재 교사 보조 로봇은 곧 실용화를 앞두고 많은 HRI 연구가 요구되는데, 본 연구에서는 로봇의 교수 스타일에 따라 학생의 반응을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 초등학교 6학년 평균키의 양팔이 달린 교사보조 로봇 프로토 타입을 제작하고, 동일한 영어단원에 대하여 두 가지 교수 스타일(명랑, 진지)의 컨텐츠를 개발하여 탑재한 후 초등학생 3학년을 대상으로 흥미도, 성취도, 집중도가 어떻게 다른지를 실험 비교 하였다. 실험 결과, 학생의 흥미도는 명랑한 로봇과 함께 수업한 집단이 높았지만, 성취도는 로봇의 스타일과 유의미한 관계가 없었으며, 집중도는 진지한 교수 스타일의 로봇과 함께한 그룹의 시간이 길었다. 이러한 결과는 교사 보조 로봇의 컨텐츠를 제작함에 있어, 중요한 가이드라인이 될 것이다. Together with the development of ubiquitous computing technology and robot technology, intelligent type robots are being utilized in many areas and the range is expected to become wider and wider. Among many service robots, the educational robots are being diversely studied in the field with the concept of r-Learning. Presently, teaching assistant robots require a lot of HRI studies prior to their practical use in the very near future and are not sufficient yet. Especially, the reactions of students based of the styles of robots (e.g. serious robot, playful robot) are very important in producing robot contents but there has been no case study on them. Therefore, in this study, the appearance of the IROBI was changed to become a teaching assistant robot and was used to test and compare elementary school students’ interest, achievement and concentration depending on the styles of robot (playful, serious). The results showed that the interest was high in the group that had studied with the playful robot. The achievement however, did not show significant relations with the style of robot and that the concentration was high in the group that had studied with the serious robot.

본 연구는 최근 정보기술의 새로운 패러다임으로 부각되고 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 학교 교육현장에 적용하여 유비쿼터스 교실 모델 설계를 위한 개념적 프레임워크를 논의한다. 기존의 연구들은 u-Learning 개념에 대한 정의 단계를 크게 벗어나지 못하고, 교육의 유비쿼스화에 따른 학습 환경에 대한 시나리오적 제시에 머물러 있는 실정이며, 학교현장에서의 연구도 주로 무선 인터넷 환경과 태블릿 PC, PDA를 기본으로 교육적 활용 가능성을 찾고자 노력하고 있으나 구체적인 교실 환경 구축 및 교육적 활용 모델이나 지원 콘텐츠가 없어 당황스러워하고 있는 실정이다. 또한 교수-학습 활동 상황을 인지하여 학생과 교사에게 맞춤형 자료의 제공하는 방법 등에 대한 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 따라서, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술을 활용한 u-Learning 환경에 대한 개념적 분석을 통해 교수-학습 활동 상황을 인지하여 학생과 교사에게 맞춤형 자료를 제공할 수 있는 u-learning 모델 교실 구축 방안 및 교육적 활용 방안을 제안한다.
