The purpose of this study was to compare the wound healing process after skin incision using scalpel, $CO_2$ laser and pulsed Nd:YAG laser in rats. After skin on the back was incised 3 cm long, rats were sacrificed at 1, 3, 7, 14, 21 and 28 days. Macroscopic, histologic and immunohistochemical examinations using the collagen type IV and the CD34 antibodies which are necessary to the forming process of new capillary were performed. Results obtained were as follows ; Macroscopically the initial wound healing of the laser group was about $1{\sim}2$ weeks slower than that of the scalpel group. There weren't however any remarkable differences in all groups in 4 weeks after incision. By histologic finding, acute inflammatory cells were more prominent during the initial wound healing in the scalpel group than in the other groups. Epithelialization started in the order of scalpel, $CO_2$ and Nd:YAG laser group after skin incision. By the Masson's trichrome stain, collagen synthesis in the Nd:YAG laser group was more slowly initiated than in the other groups. But it was completed at the $3{\sim}4$ weeks in all groups. Immunohistochemically, collagen type IV and CD34 expression were markedly increased at 2 weeks in the scalpel and $CO_2$ laser group. Meanwhile, in the Nd:YAG laser group, these reactions were observed later tan the other groups. Collagen type IV and CD34 expression were decreased in all groups after 4 weeks. These results suggest that $CO_2$ and Nd:YAG laser showed similar healing process compared with scalpel and a potential substitute for scalpel in skin incision.

This paper primarily aims to analyze the growth rate differentials of the economic activities in Chung-Nam area. The research has been undertaken to find out the potentials of the economic activities and economic bases in the area. To analyze the economic potentials of the industries, the study employed the economic Growth Rate Differential Analysis by Henderson which is revised form of Shift-Share Analysis Methods. The research employed the employment data according to the standardized two-digit-classification--system during the period of 10 years from 1981 through 1991. The Growth Rate Differential Analysis calculates Total Growth Differentials which are dicomposed into two parts : Weight Part and Rate Part. Total Growth Differential can be calculated as the difference between national growth rate and regional growth rate by industry. The foundings are as follows : First, the economic bases of Chung-Nam area were found to be very weak, largely depending on primary industries such as agriculture and fisheries. Second, there was a great decline in urban industries in Tae Joeon, (,been An and other cities over period of 1971-1981. It. is strongly recommended that the planned items and products of each industrial complex must be reorgnized in a fashion to match those with high competitve power found in this research.

United Nations Commission on International Trade Law(hereinafter "UNCITRAL"), the core legal body of the United Nations system in the field of international trade law, is currently in the process of preparing a draft instrument on the international carriage of goods. In order to facilitate and prompt for new draft instrument, Working Group Ⅲ was established under the auspicious of UNCITRAL in 2002. Working Group, which was composed of all member countries of UNCITRAL, considered the text of preliminary draft instrument on the carriage of goods by sea. According to the Working Group..s report, this new convention deals with issues relating to the international ocean carriage of goods such as the scope of application, the period of responsibility of the carrier, liability of the carrier, obligations of the shipper and transport documents including electronic records. In the course of the second reading, however, there are lots of outstanding issues to deliberate and consider for formulating new version of the ocean cargo liability convention. One of the substantial issues is the snail's pace of progress in last sessions. Therefore legal adviser and industry representatives assume the next UNCITRAL meeting, in Vienna, Nov. 29-Dec. 10, would be more critical to complete the convention.
