Cytotoxicity of 2-chloroethylethyl sulfide (CEES) was investigated in murine spleen lymphocytes. Following exposure of CEES (1 mM) to spleen cell, the level of intracellar ATP and the cell viability decreased to 80% and 81% of control, respectively after 30 min, and 24% and 63%, respectively after 60 min. Thus, the decrease of viability was preceded by the loss of ATP, suggesting that ATP loss may be the cause of cell death. Nicotinamide and 1,5-dihydroxyisoquinoline, inhibitors of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PAD-PRP) effectively protected against the loss of ATP and decrease of viability. The EC_(50) value of nicotinamide was approximately 400-folds greater than that of 1,5-dihydroxyisoquinoline, indicating that 1,5-dihydroxyisoquinoline is more effective than nicotinamide. In the protection effect, a good relationship between an EC_(50) value and a potency (IC_(50)) as inhibitors of PADPRP activity was noticed. Thymine and nicotinamide showed a synergistic effect in preventing both the loss of ATP and the decrease of viability. These results support that the activation of PADPRP might be involved in the cytotoxicity of CEES in the spleen lymphocytes, and PADPRP inhibitors could be used to prevent CEES-induced cytotoxicity.
기질 및 성격 검사(TCI)를 통한 사상체질 특성 연구

1. Objective: This study was designed to analyze the characteristics of each Sasang constitutional type using the Temperament and Character Inventory (TCI). 2. Methods: A total of 135 healthy subjects (age 19-30) participated in this study, consisting of 35 Soyang-type, 66 Taeeum-type, 30 Soeum-type, and 4 Taeyang-type subjects. A Sasang Constitutional Medicine specialist determined each subject's Sasang constitutional type based on the Two Step Questionnaire for Sasang Constitution Diagnosis (TS-QSCD) and comprehensive constitutional assessment. The subjects were also asked to complete the TCI. 3. Results: Among the four temperament dimensions, the Soyang- and Taeeum-type subjects showed significantly higher scores than the Soeum-type subjects in Novelty Seeking (NS). The Soeum-type subjects showed significantly higher scores than the Taeum- and Soyang-type subjects in Harm Avoidance (HA) (Soeum type > Taeeum type > Soyang type). The Soyang-type subjects showed significantly higher scores than the Soeum-type subjects in Reward Dependence (RD). The Soyang- and Taeeum-type subjects showed significantly higher scores than the Soeum-type subjects in Persistence (P). Among the three character dimensions, the Soyang-type subjects showed significantly higher score than the Taeeumand Soeum-type subjects in Self-Directedness (SD) (Soyang type > Taeeum type > Soeum type). The Soyang-type showed significantly higher scores than the Taeeum-type in Cooperativeness (C). 4. Conclusions: Differences in temperament and character were discovered across the Sasang constitutional types. The Sasang constitutional characteristics should be investigated in larger studies in the future. Similar studies could add to the growing knowledge of Sasang constitutional typology and contribute to a more accurate Sasang constitutional diagnosis.
정지궤도 기상위성 기반의 지표면 배경온도장 구축 및 지상관측과 지리정보를 활용한 정확도 분석

This paper presents derivation of background temperature from geostationary satellite and its validation based on ground measurements and Geographic Information System (GIS) for future use in weather and surface heat variability. This study only focuses on daily and monthly brightness temperature in 2012. From the analysis of COMS Meteorological Data Processing System (CMDPS) data, we have found an error in cloud distribution of model, which used as a background temperature field, and in examining the spatial homogeneity. Excessive cloudy pixels were reconstructed by statistical reanalysis based on consistency of temperature measurement. The derived Brightness temperature has correlation of 0.95, bias of 0.66 K and RMSE of 4.88 K with ground station measurements. The relation between brightness temperature and both elevation and vegetated land cover were highly anti-correlated during warm season and daytime, but marginally correlated during cold season and nighttime. This result suggests that time varying emissivity data is required to derive land surface temperature.
Non-3GPP 네트워크에서 MTC를 위한 효율적인 그룹 기반의 인증 프로토콜

사람의 개입 없이 언제 어디서나 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 MTC(Machine Type Communication)는 다수의 ME(Mobile Equipment)들과의 인증 시그널에 의해 상당한 부하 문제를 야기한다. 본 논문은 non-3GPP 네트워크에서 MTC를 위한 그룹 기반의 EAP-AKA 인증 프로토콜을 제안한다. 제안 프로토콜은 기존 3GPP EAP-AKA 인증 구조에서 큰 수정을 요구하지 않는 동시에 같은 수준의 안전성을 제공한다. 또한, 기존 3GPP EAP-AKA보다 낮은 통신 비용, 연산 지연을 제공한다.
LTE-Advanced에서의 Machine Type Communications을 위한 그룹 기반 보안 프로토콜

사람이 개입할 필요 없이 기기 및 사물들을 셀룰러 망(cellular network)으로 연결하여 언제 어디서나 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 MTC(Machine Type Communications)는 차세대 통신의 주요 이슈로 고려되고 있다. 현재, 다수의 MTC 단말들이 동시적으로 망에 접속하려고 하면 각 MTC 단말들은 독립적인 접근 인증 절차를 수행해야 된다. 이로 인해 LTE-Advanced 네트워크에서 인증 시그널링(authentication signaling) 혼잡(congestion)과 부하(overload)의 문제가 야기된다. 본 논문은 그룹 기반의 인증 프로토콜과 키 관리 프로토콜을 제안한다. 그룹 단위로 MTC 단말들을 관리하기 위해 제안하는 프로토콜은 그룹 리더(leader)를 선출하고, 리더만이 코어 망(core network)과의 인증에 참여한다. 인증이 완료된 후, 그룹 리더는 이진트리(binary tree)를 구성하여 나머지 구성원(member)들과 MME(Mobility Management Entity)를 관리한다. 마지막으로 제안 프로토콜 분석은 제안하는 프로토콜이 MTC 단말들과 코어 망 사이에서 발생되는 인증 시그널링을 줄여줄 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 효율적으로 MTC 단말들을 관리할 수 있음도 보여준다. MTC(Machine Type Communications), providing a variety of services anytime and anywhere by connecting the cellular network to the machine and things without human intervention, is being considered as a major challenge of the next-generation communications. Currently, When a massive MTC devices simultaneously connect to the network, each MTC device needs an independent access authentication process. Because of this process, authentication signaling congestion and overload problems will cause in LTE-Advanced. In this paper, we propose a group-based authentication protocol and a key management protocol. For managing the MTC devices as group units, the proposed protocol elects a group leader and authentications only once with the core network. After the authentication is completed, a group leader manages the rest members and MME(Mobility Management Entity) by constructing a binary tree. Finally, the propose protocol analysis show that the proposed protocol not only can reduces the authentication signaling which generated in between the MTC devices and the core network but also can manages the MTC devices, efficiently.
