        승산적 형태를 가진 동태적 가격결정 모형

        Brand pricing is the most important issue for the brand manager in the dynamic market. In the typical dynamic pricing model, a linear function has been used based on the assumption that the non-price influences and the price influences were independent. However, to incorporate the characteristics of the dynamic market, it is natural to consider the multiplicative relationship. We are going to try the multiplicative linkage between the non-price influences and the price influences and suggest a new dynamic pricing model with a multiplicative functional form. An empirical study of 19 brands in the Korean cigarette market shows the feasibility of the suggested model.

        코로나19 팬데믹에서의 해외 출국 항공 여객편수 예측 모형 개발에 관한 연구

        Over the past three years, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a global and far-reaching impact on society and the economy, particularly on the international air passenger market, which has experienced a significant decrease in demand. International airports have had to adhere to various infection prevention regulations. In this study, we employed Regression Discontinuity Design to develop a forecasting model, taking into account factors such as upper limits such as airport facility capacity, which were not considered in previous research. We estimated the number of outbound international flights from January 2017 to March 2023, uncovering significant differences compared to the widely-used ARIMAX model in most air demand studies. The study comprehensively examines the pandemicʼs influence on the international air passenger market and the limitations imposed by airport facilities on outbound flights. Its findings are expected to improve accurate forecasting and decision-making, supporting the recovery of the international travel industry and aiding in the development of future response strategies. This research serves as a crucial bridge between academic theory and practical industry applications.

        마케팅 연구를 위한 회귀불연속설계의 고찰

        This study reviews the researches using regression discontinuity design, which has recently been actively applied in various academic fields, and then we make the research directions for marketing research. Regression Discontinuity Design was firstly applied to education policy by Thistlethwaite and Campbell (1960) and became a representative quasi-experimental research design that aims at causal inference by specifying a cutoff or threshold. Accordingly, even in the absence of an experimental design, the internal validity of the study can be secured and causal effects could be derived in limited situations. In a regression discontinuity design, there is a high probability that the people who were located just below the cutoff point of the assignment variable would be very similar with the people who were located just above the cutoff point in many respects. Despite these similarities, if there is a difference in the value of dependent variable between these two groups, regression discontinuity design inferences that the difference is due to the difference in the treatment variable (a dummy variable created with the cutoff value of assignment variable). In this study, we classified existing researches into several fields, and then reviewed total 82 domestic and foreign studies. Lastly, we proposed the hypotheses for marketing research. We hope that this review will be helpful in applying new research methodologies in marketing research.

        기준금리 변화에 따른 예금금리와 대출금리 변동의 비대칭성

        This study analyzes the asymmetry of the change of deposit rates and loan rates of commercial banks against the change of base rate of central bank. We examine whether there is a asymmetric difference in the deposit rates, household lending rates and mortgage rates of commercial banks when the base rate increases and decrease. If the asymmetry exists in the interest rate policy of commercial banks when the base rate increases and decreases, it is considered that the supervisory authorities should carefully examine these results for bank supervision. This is because there may be the unethical aspects of commercial banks that use excessive interest on their deposits and loan rates. Therefore, a follow-up discussion will be needed for the supervisory body which is obliged to supervise the bank. In this study, we use the base rate from January 2009 to April 2019 and monthly time series data of deposit rates and loan rates of commercial banks through the Bank of Korea's economic statistics system because there is no monthly data on deposit rates and loan rates by commercial banks separately. As a result, the deposit rates, household lending rates and mortgage rates of commercial banks are decreased more rapidly when the base rate is decreased than when it is increased. This can be interpreted as a strategic choice for profitability and competition among commercial banks. Therefore consumers using financial service are less likely to increase their profits from deposit interest, and loan might be borrowed at lower when the base rate is decreased due to the competition between commercial banks. 본 연구는 중앙은행의 기준금리 변화에 대한 시중은행의 예금금리와 대출금리의 비대칭적 변동을 실증 분석하였다. 기준금리의 변동이 상승할 때 시중은행의 예금금리와 대출금리의 변동과 기준금리가 감소할 때 시중은행의 예금금리와 대출금리의 변동에 차이가 있는 지를 검증한다. 만약, 기준금리의 상승과 감소 시 시중은행의 금리정책에 비대칭성이 존재한다면, 이러한 결과는 은행감독측면에서 감독당국의 면밀한 검토가 필요할 것으로 판단된다. 이는 시중은행의 금리를 사용하는 일반 국민에게 과도한 대출이자비용을 발생시키거나 예금이자로 인한 수익이 감소될 수 있고, 이를 자신의 이익추구만으로 사용하는 시중은행의 비윤리적인 측면이 있을 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서 은행을 감독할 의무가 있는 감독기관의 심도 깊은 대책을 위한 사후 논의가 필요할 것이다. 시중은행별로 예금금리와 대출금리의 월별 자료가 없어, 본 연구에서는 한국은행 경제통계시스템을 통해 2009년 1월부터 2019년 4월까지 기준금리와 시중은행의 수신금리 및 대출금리 월별 시계열자료를 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 기준금리가 상승할 때보다 감소할 때에 예금금리와 대출금리를 더 급하게 인하하는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 시중은행들의 손익과 경쟁을 위한 전략적 선택으로 해석할 수 있다. 이를 통해 실제 금리의 수혜자인 금융소비자는 예금이자로 인한 수익을 늘리기 어렵고, 대출금리는 은행들간의 경쟁으로 인해 기준금리를 인하할 때에 더 낮은 금리로 대출을 받을 수 있다고 판단할 수 있다.

        A Modified Diffusion Model Considering Autocorrelated Disturbances: Applications on CT Scanners and FPD TVs

        Estimating the Bass diffusion model often creates a time-interval bias, which leads the OLS approach to overestimate sales at early stages and underestimate sales after the peak. Further, a specification error from omitted variables might raise serial correlations among residuals when marketing actions are not incorporated into the diffusion model. Autocorrelated disturbances may yield unbiased but inefficient estimation, and therefore invalid inference results. This phenomenon warrants a modified approach to estimating the Bass diffusion model. In this paper, the authors propose a modified Bass diffusion model handling autocorrelated disturbances. To validate the new approach, authors applied the method on two different data-sets: CT Scanners in the U.S, and FPD TV sales in Korea. The results showed improved model fit and the validity of the proposed model.

        가격연구에 관한 종합적 고찰

        본 연구는 국내 경영과 마케팅 관련 전문학술잡지인 경영학연구, 마케팅연구, 소비자학연구, 아시아마케팅저널에 게재된 최근 2000년부터 2014년 상반기까지 약 15년의 가격관련 연구논문 48편을 고찰한 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이들 연구를 크게 가격할인, 준거가격, 묶음가격, 가격탄력성 연구, 가격과 품질에 관한 연구, 그리고 기타 연구로 분류하였다. 기타연구에는 제시가격정보, 가격조절효과, 가격결정 프로세스, 동태적 가격결정모형이 포함되어 있다. 본 연구는 분류된 주제별 가격 연구들의 결과를 정리하고, 이들 연구에서 제시된 향후 연구방향과 지금까지 연구되지 않았으나 저자가 중요하다고 판단한 향후 가격연구의 방향을 제시하였다. In this paper, the review of pricing research in recent 15 years (from 2000 to the first half of 2014) in Korea was carried out. These 48 papers were selected from the Korea domestic academic journals related in management and marketing; Korean Management Review, Journal of Korean Marketing Association, Korean Journal of Consumer Studies, and Asia Marketing Journal. In this paper, papers were classified as six areas; price discount, reference price, bundling price, price elasticity, research on price and quality and other studies. After the summary of selected papers, further research directions on pricing and the issues which were not studied yet, but important were discussed.
