화력발전소와 같은 대규모 플랜트 설비는 복잡하여 고장이 발생할 경우 고장발생 설비, 시기 및 원인을 정확하게 파악하는 것이 쉽지 않기 때문에 무엇보다 고장을 사전에 예방하는 것이 중요하다. 최근 들어 정비업무에 대한 관점과 중요성이 점차 변화해 가고 있고 주기정비 방식에서 벗어나 상태기반 정비방식으로 발전되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상태정비에 주안점을 두고 신뢰도중심정비 방법을 화력발전소, 특히 석탄취급설비에 적용하여 정비주기를 선정하고자 하였다. Power plants have many components and equipment. It is difficult for operators to know the each equipment fails or what equipment fails. It is important to prevent failure in advance. Recently, outlook of maintenance tasks is changing from time based maintenance to condition based maintenance. In this study, we selected RCM-based maintenance intervals for coal handling equipment at coal power plant. For RCM analysis, we have made great progress in a maintenance task and interval. If we apply RCM analysis to the whole plant system, we can expect qualitative improvement and efficient operation of power plant system.

Hemangiopericytoma is a rare tumor of blood vessels, first described and named by Stout and Murray in 1942, arising from the contractile, elongated cells which surround capillaries originated from the pericytes of Zimmermann. It can develop anywhere there are capillaries and mostly in the connective tissue of the human body. It can also develop at any age from 12 to 90 years old, and the rate of metastasis and prognosis vary with its histologic finding, We report three cases of hemangiopericytoma - one recurred in the right forearm where a tumor was excised 15 years ago, another occurred in the left pubis which metastasized to lung and head, the other metastasized from the lung to the right scapular area - treated at the department of orthopaedic surgery, Hanyang University Hospital from 1989 to 1995.

Vapor injection technique has been applied to prevent performance degrdation of a heat pump at low ambient temperatures. In this study, the heating performance of a heat pumpwith a variable speed injection scroll compressor using R-410A was investigated by applying sub-cooler vapor injection(SCVI) and flash tank vapor injection(FTVI). The heating performance of the heat pump was measured by varying compressor frequency and outdoor temperature. The heating capacity of the FTVI system was 8∼10% higher than that of the SCVI system at all operating conditions. On the other hand, the heating performance improvement with the increase in the compressor frequency was more prominent in the SCVI system than in the FTVI system.

When the suction pressure of compressor decreases under its limit, the compression ratio is increased causing the malfunctions of compressor. As the method to decrease the compression ratio, hot gas bypass system is usually adopted in heat pump system. In the hot gas bypass system, the discharged gas from the compressor is bypassed into the compressor suction, which causes the increase of suction pressure and the decrease of compression ratio. In this study, the characteristics and performances of the hot gas bypass system in heat pump was investigated experimentally with a variation of the bypass flow rate ratio. With the increase of the bypass rate ratio, the compressor suction pressure was increased, even though the total capacity and COP was decreased. From the analysis of the experimental results, the optimum pressure control algorithm was suggested in this study.

Injury of the popliteal artery assaciated with fracture and dislocation of the knee is uncommon. But, when the fracture and dislacation of the knee occurs, it frequently associated with vascular injuries, and vascular injury can be a very serious one because of ischemia that necessitates amputation, Sixteen vascular injuries combined by fractures and dislacation of the knee between March 1985 and February, 19B9 have been reviewed and the results are as follows. I. There were 11 cases of proximal tibial fracture, 2 cases of distal femoral fracture and 3 cases of knee dislacation. 2. The site of injury which is proximal to insertion of the soieus musde were 15 cases. 3. There were contusion in 11 cases, rupture in 4 cases and laceration in 1 case. 4. One of the 2 cases(50%o) that were treated within 12 hours after injury ssurvived, while two to 10 cases(20Yo) that were treated after 24 haurs following injury survived. 5. The open reduction and internal fixation was done in 5 cases, the skeletal traction in 1 case, and cast immobilization in 10 cases. 6. Finally, the B-K amputation was done in 4 cases, A-K amputation in 6 cases, knee disarticulation in 2 cases.
