손해보험회사의 경쟁력 , 전략 , 지급여력에 관한 실증연구

본 연구는 국내 손해보험회사의 경쟁력 및 경영전략 (사업포트폴리오전략, 자산운용전략)이 지급여력에 여하한 영향을 주었는가에 관한 실증분석이다. 지급여력제도가 처음 도입된 1998년 이후 10개 분기별 자료를 이용하여 분석한 결과 지급여력에 대해 경쟁력이 보다 유의한 영향을 준 것으로 나타났다. 한편 사업포트폴리오전략은 지급여력에 유의한 영향을 주지 않은 것으로 분석되었고 다만 자산운용전략은 지급여력에 유의한 양의 영향을 준 것으로 나타난 바, 이는 회사요인이 아니라 시기요인인 것으로 확인되었다. This empirical research aims to identify the determining factors of solvency margin in Korean property and liability insurance companies, analyzing ten quarterly data from 1998 and employing stepwise regression technique and structural equation model. The results show that the competitiveness of insurers significantly affects solvency margin while marketing strategy does not. The ineffectiveness of marketing strategy on solvency margin is attributable to the indifferent business portfolio among insurers regardless of their market shares or relative cost advantages. Insurers' competitiveness is found to affect no marketing strategy but investment strategy, that in turn influences solvency margin.

A Gram-stain negative, yellow-pigmented, motile, pleomorphicbacterium, designated strain CBA4602T, was isolatedfrom the gut of the sea cucumber Stichopus japonicus, whichwas collected from Jeju Island in the Republic of Korea. Ina phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene, strainCBA4602T belonged to the order Sphingomonadales in theclass Alphaproteobacteria. The 16S rRNA gene sequence similaritybetween strain CBA4602T and ‘Citromicrobium bathyomarinum’JF-1, the most closely related strain having nonvalidlypublished name, was 98.4%, followed by 95.2–96.7%identities with sequence of the other closest strains in thegenus Erythrobacter. Strain CBA4602T had bacteriochlorophylla and carotenoids. Strain CBA4602T grew in 0–10%(w/v) NaCl, at 10–42°C and pH 6.0–8.0, with optimal growthin 1–2% NaCl, at 30–37°C and pH 7.0. Strain CBA4602Twas positive for catalase and oxidase activities and was ableto hydrolyse gelatine and Tween 20 and 40, but not starch,Tween 80 or L-tyrosine. The G+C content of genomic DNAfrom strain CBA4602T was 68.0 mol% and Q-10 was the majordetected isoprenoid quinone. The polar lipids were threeunidentified phospholipids, three unidentified glycolipids,and two unidentified lipids. The dominant fatty acids wereanteiso-C15:0, C16:0, anteiso-C17:0 and C18:0. As consideringthe current taxonomic status of the genus ‘Citromicrobium’and polyphasic taxonomic analyses, strain CBA4602T representsa novel genus and species. The name Citrimicrobiumluteum is proposed for the type strain CBA4602T (=KACC17668T =JCM 19530T).
