Critical minerals such as nickel, cobalt and lithium, are known as materials for cathodic active materials of lithium ion batteries. The consumption of the minerals is expected to grow with increasing the demands of electric vehicles, resulting from carbon neutrality. Especially, the demand for LIB (lithium ion battery) recycling is expected to increase to meet the supply of nickel, cobalt and lithium for LIB. The recycling of EOL (end-of-life) LIB can be achieved by leaching EOL LIB using inorganic acid such as HCl, HNO<sub>3</sub> and H<sub>2</sub>SO<sub>4</sub>, which are regarded as hazardous materials. In the present study, the potential use of MSA (Methanesulfonic acid), as an alternative lixiviant replacing sulfuric acid was investigated. In addition, leaching behaviors of NCM black mass leaching with MSA was also investigated by studying various leaching factors such as chemical concentration, leaching time, pulp density (P/D) and temperatures. The leaching efficiency of nickel (Ni), cobalt (Co), lithium (Li), and manganese (Mn) from LIB was enhanced by increasing concentration of lixiviant and reductant, leaching time and temperature. The maximum leaching of the metals was above 99% at 80℃. In addition, MSA can replace sulfuric acid to recover Ni, Co, Li, Mn from NCM black mass.
한국어 단기 유학생의 학습자 변인이 말하기 숙달도 향상에 미치는 영향

This study investigated effects of individual variables on speaking proficiency development of short-term study-abroad students in Korea. Forty-one learners were asked to complete a story recall task after watching a short Korean animation at the beginning and the end of the semester, and their responses were analyzed for syntactic development according to the CAF(Complexity, Accuracy, Fluency). This study also used self-reporting questionnaires to measure intercultural sensitivity, personality, and social networks. Results showed that although many participants achieved L2 gains in speaking proficiency on the whole during their study abroad, speaking complexity was meaningfully improved(p=.025) Specific subcategories of learners’variables that gave effect on improvement of speaking are as follows: I) Openness of personality had the most significant influence on improvement of speaking complexity(.589), ii) dispersion of social networks also had an effect on speaking complexity(.327), implying that the much interaction with Korean native speakers enhances Korean language learners‘ speaking complexity. A Study on Interaction Method of EBook According to Reading path : Focusing on Wired Magazine'

Appearance of a device that has a form of tablet PC and characteristic of mobility is newly changing experience and behavior of humans who used to deliver and spend messages through various medium. This means a paradigm of new book that mixes a story structure of a book that can deliver information when or where transcending space time, entertainment factors of TV, and attribute of network and hypermedia that the web has had appeared. Moreover, use of touch interface, which is intuitive control method, and various sensors changed a communication form of focusing on text and image to the media that includes movement according to control of users and interaction with the device. Therefore, this study tried to find out change in way of reading in a space called book through change process of reading path that has flexible and dynamic structure in historical consideration of interface and linear, static structure. It was found that interface of papyrus scroll had made linear reading path and interface of codex page had made reading path that has fixity and integrity. And also the relationship of this interface and reading path had influence on reading path of hyperlinks of web, mobile and even 'Wired magazine' of 'iPad' that includes other media actively, and the reason it is changed to hypermedia reading path that includes interaction with users was affected from the precious interface. Advancing from cognizing new experience of reading, the study tried to help on writing that is suitable for new media and interaction method based on understanding of characteristics of device and text. This study is considered to have a significance in suggesting new direction of a book that has characteristics of entertainment, which can maximize fun for users or books in educational and practical fields that can let obtaining of information efficiently through synaesthetic experience.

Recently, the interest in the smart buildings is increasing in the architecture field. Among them, a research of facade design using a transformable system that can adjust the effect of the external environment is in progress. One of a typical example of the deployable system is a Scissors system that can change shape by using the geometric conditions of a unit member. Scissors system is a high-tech structural system which can construct the deployable plan and curved space by using the SLE (Scissors-Like Element) consisted of two Bar and Pivot. If the facade is designed by applying Scissors system, it is possible to maximize the performance and aesthetic effect of the structure by using a shape change of the line member. This paper presents a study of deployable facade design applying hybrid-typed Scissors system. A new deployable pattern of facade design is developed by combining Angulated Scissors system and tessellation pattern. Applying the deployable pattern a double skin construction method which is to add an outer wall for design, it raises three dimensional effects and can maximize the artistic essence of the change in shape upon deployment.

The study was carried out to investigate the efficacy of current nutrition labeling of processed foods and examine awareness among university students of nutrition information given current nutrition labels, and also awareness of the one-serving size of snacks that come in differently sized packages. A total of 100 students in Chungbuk, Korea participated in this study. About 60% of the subjects knew about nutrition labeling; however, a very small percentage (11%) of the subjects reported an experience of being educated about nutrition labeling. Also, just 32% of the students checked nutrition labels when they purchased processed foods. When understanding of nutrition information on labels of snacks in differently sized packaging was tested, over 80% of the subjects understood nutrition information accurately. Five different package sizes were studied. Of these 5, packages containing about 200% of one standard serving showed the highest rate of misunderstanding of total energy contents per container. Interestingly, the students most strongly preferred containers that contained 300% of one standard serving. From these results, we conclude that students consider the current recommendation for a serving size to be small, which may be related to misreading of nutrition labels of snacks that come in packages containing less than 300% of one standard serving size. To improve accurate understanding of nutrition labels of snacks, total package labels or dual column labels on packages containing less than 300% of one standard serving size should be considered.
