The purpose of this study is to create a dense fog production environment for improving the installation and operation efficiency of the VMS or VSLS to control and generate fog. A legibility distance test model of red, green, and yellow colors of the VMS was developed using fog. This model was compared with the conventional read distance calculation model. Furthermore, the limiting speed and stopping distance were compared with the visibility distance. The results show that the legibility distance is very short because the luminance of the VMS is reduced owing to fog. The limiting speed and stop distance were compared based on the visibility distance prescribed by the National Police Agency. This comparison revealed that the use of the VSLS was effective in reducing the speed limit in foggy conditions and realizing a stopping distance. The abovementioned results will help to improve the installation and operation efficiency of a VMS or VSLS in foggy areas. This will be helpful for the installation interval and information transmission of a VMS or VSLS.

Intraventricular hemorrhage is common in premature infants, and post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus may follow. Rarely, intraventricular hemorrhage can occur in utero and may lead to congenital hydrocephalus. In most cases no underlying disease is identified. The fetus may be compromised by intrauterine hypoxia leading to hemorrhage. Fetal hydrocephalus can be identified by ultrasonography, but the hemorrhagic lesion can be identified with high sensitivity by magnetic resonance imaging. There are neurologic deficit in neonate with fetal hydrocephalus. Early surgical treatment is recommended for neurodevelopmental outcome. We experienced a case of congenital hydrocephalus associated with fetal intraventricular hemorrhage in our hospital. We report the case with a brief review of the literature.
