The experimental research was conducted to setup a performance prediction logic for the regenerative cooling system on a small scale liquid rocket engine using kerosene and LOX. Total heat flux of the combustion gas side was determined for the flow rate of the coolant, combustion pressure using the calorimeter thrust chamber. Based on the experimental investigation, a performance prediction scheme for the regenerative cooling system is setup in our own way. A performance prediction logic for the regenerative cooling system has been developed by the correction scheme of the combustion gas side. The key parameters determining the temperature limitation of the coolant are the mass flow rate of the coolant and the length of the combustion chamber and the nozzle. And the parameters to control the limitation of the usable wall temperature are the number of channels and wall thickness.
Evaluation of mechanical properties of flame-retardant polymer materials

In recent years, the automotive industry has been focusing on developing the electric vehicles with an emphasis on the eco-friendliness due to the global warming. Since the electrical and electronic parts applied to the automobiles are gradually increasing and the large-capacity batteries are used, the risk of fire is being increased. As a solution to this, the flame-retardant materials have been adopted as the vehicle interior parts. The flame-retardant materials can contribute to minimize human casualties by delaying sparks and reducing smoke production. A crash pad is an interior part generally installed in the front of a car, to protect the passengers from the collision in the car crash. In this study, in order to understand the mechanical properties of the crash pad that satisfies the flame retardancy, the mechanical property evaluation test was performed on three materials currently used in other products. Then, the properties of three materials of MT62CPC, MW42HSNB8, and MU30HGP1 were compared. It reveals that the elongation of MW42HSNB8 was very high, more than 168%, while the MT62CPC exhibited the highest elastic modulus. In addition, the MT62CPC showed a significantly small value of Poissons ratio although it is a polymer material.
대면적 YBCO 고온 초전도 벌크 자석 및 조작기 개발

For the practical application of a YBCO superconductor bulk, the superconductor bulk magnet with high magnetic field on a large area surface should be fabricated. To make this, YBCO single crystal bulks with fine $Y_2BaCuO_5$(Y211) particles have been prepared by the top-seed melt growth(TSMG) method with $YBa_2Cu_3O_x$, $Y_2O_3$, and $CeO_2$ mixing precursor. By using $Y_2O_3$ instead of $Y_2BaCuO_5$ as precursor, the manufacturing process became simpler and more economical. The microstructures, trapped field and critical current density of the various conditioned YBCO bulks have been observed, analyzed and measured. The different characteristic values of the several samples have been analyzed from the viewpoint of their microstructures. We have developed a $8{\times}12cm$ size superconductor bulk magnet, up to 3 T class, by using the 4 T class-high field superconducting magnetizer and confirmed the applicability of the transmission level circuit breakers by measuring the strength and speed of the superconductor bulk magnet actuator.

A stress-strength analysis is used to assess the reliability of a multi-pulse rocket motor system. Main stress is found to be thermal during explosion and the distribution is obtained by simulation. The strength distribution is derived from the results of actual specimen tests. The failure rate of barrier type pulse separation device is estimated.

In this paper , the relative stability of magnetic bearing system for the flywheel energy storage is evaluated using both simulation and experimental analysis. We make the simulation model for the magnetic bearing flywheel system using the rigid body shaft model. According to international standard ISO 14839-3, We experimentally analyzed the relative stability of magnetic bearing system . Additionally using both the simulation model and experimental tests, Phase margin and Gain margin is acquired through Nyquist plot.

In this paper, an actuator model of the thrust magnetic bearing for the flywheel energy storage is derived using magnetic circuit theory, And we compared this result with finite element magnetic field analysis result. Based on the actuator model, we made a simulation model of the thrust magnetic bearing system. We showed the closed loop transfer function and sensitivity function of the thrust magnetic bearing system using both the simulation model and the experiment. The experimental result at rotation velocity 18,00rpm of thru t magnetic bearing system is included.

YBCO bulks with fine $Y_2BaCuO_5$(Y211) particles have been prepared by the top-seed modified powder melting process method, Solid-Liquid Melt Growth(SLMG), with $Y_2O_3$, $BaCuO_2$ and CuO mixing precursor. By using $Y_2O_3$ instead of $Y_2BaCuO_5$ as precursor, the processing became to be simpler and cheaper than the current powder melting process. The microstructures, trapped field and critical current density of the various conditioned YBCO bulks have been analyzed and the effect of Pt additive was studied. The different trapped magnetic field values of the several samples have been explained in the viewpoint of their microstructures. The fabrication of large-sized YBCO single domain has been conducted.
