Objectives: Recently, mobile healthcare, including smartphone applications (hereinafter referred to as apps), has been introduced in the healthcare field. However, most of the applications were commercial applications designed to promote dentistry, and no research has been reported in Korea to identify behavioral changes in educators after application training. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of oral health education on oral health knowledge, behavior, and eating habits Methods: In this study, the participant installed the “Procare” application (M product) and used its features for maintaining oral hygiene. The app recorded the daily brushing habits to calculate the brushing score. Results: There was a positive effect on the change of oral health knowledge, behavior, and eating habits before and after education in subjects who were educated by application-based selforal-healthcare programs. Conclusions: An application-based self-oral-healthcare program can be a good means of oral health education.
요양보호사가 활용가능한 노인시설 이용 대상자의 구강관리 프로토콜 개발 및 타당도 평가에 대한 사전연구

Objectives: This study aims to develop an evidence-based oral care protocol that caregivers working at elderly facilities can use for proper oral care of the elderly admitted to the longterm care facilities. Methods: An oral care protocol was developed, and five experts of oral care and facility care each participated in a validity test. The validity test sheet indicated the validity test, performance, and the possibility of applying the protocol to all procedures. Results: The content validity of the 1st to 12th steps of the protocol showed a high validity (4.0) or higher for both geriatric facility experts and oral care experts. Besides, in the elderly facility group, the validity (CVI) of whether to perform each stage was relatively low (0.8) in the first stage (product preparation). Conclusions: The validity of the oral care protocol that caregivers in elderly facilities can use was high, and the study subjects confirmed the recognition of the necessity, utility, and usefulness of the developed protocol.
일부 치위생(학)과 학생들의 대학교육 국제화에 대한 필요성과 인식도 연구

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to identify dental hygiene college students’ awareness and experience related to international dental hygienist education as well as the perceived needs related to this topic, and to subsequently use these data as a basis for internationalization of the curriculum. Methods: This study included a total of 539 dental hygiene students. A self-administered survey was conducted from April 9 to May 3, 2016. The collected data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS 22.0. Results: The results showed that the higher the awareness regarding the international education curriculum, the higher the perceived necessity of the standardization of a dental hygiene curriculum and of having an international exchange program. Conclusions: It is necessary to establish a global vision of the dental hygienist profession and develop a competitive dental hygiene education curriculum that enables internationalization of the alumni as well as establish an international exchange program to enhance the global experience of students.

본 연구는 선택적 치료 교육 활동의 실행 방안을 모색하기 위하여 학생 중심, 수요자 중심, 수행 능력 중심의 치료 교육 활동의 구성 체제, 전개 방안, 그리고 운영 방안을 알아보는데 목적이 있었다. 연구의 결과와 논의를 토대로 내린 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학생 중심의 치료 교육 활동은 이들의 독특한 교육적 욕구를 충족시켜 주는 가장 적절한 수업을 보장하는 교육 체제이어야 한다. 둘째, 수요자 중심의 선택적 치료 교육 활동을 전개하기 위해서는 개별화 교육 계획, 개별화수업 계획이 수립되어 수요자의 선택이 보장되는 교육 체제이어야 한다. 셋째, 수행 능력 중심의 선택적 치료 교육 활동은 개인 학생의 능력을 토대로 계속적인 성공감이 보장되는 교육 체재이어야 한다. Therapeutic educational service is activity promoting education for the whole man, maintainenance of unlimited life, recovery of physiological self-control function, supplement of disability and recovery of life skills. The purpose of this study was to investigate execution plan of selected therapeutic educational service for the student with disabilities. The results of this study were as follows ; First, therapeutic educational service of student centered were promoting education for the whole man and appropriate subject lesson activity and special activity to students with' unique educational needs' in order to practice an idea. Second, therapeutic educational service of consumer centered should be performed selectively according to individual character of student with disability. Finally, therapeutic educational service of competence centered should be able to perform competence centered selected therapeutic educational service according to feature and degree of severity. Therefore, Therapeutic educational service was education activity. Teacher should practice it through play, exercise, and occupation according to character of student, and carry out instruction slowly, safely, and naturally.
