In this paper, the effects of a nonionic surfactant on the etch uniformity and the etch profile during the wet-etching process of high-purity aluminum were investigated for the fabrication of uniform micropattern arrays. To improve the surface roughness of a high-purity aluminum plate, a mechanical lapping process and an electrolytic polishing process were used. After electrolytic polishing process, the surface roughness, Ra, of the high-purity aluminum plate was improved from 1.25 ㎛ to 0.02 ㎛. A photoresist was used as an etching mask during the aluminum etching process, where the mixture of phosphoric acid, acetic acid, nitric acid, a nonionic surfactant and water was used as the aluminum etchant. Different amounts of the Triton X-100 nonionic surfactant were added to the aluminum etchant to investigate the effect of a nonionic surfactant during the wet-etching process of high-purity aluminum. The etch rate and the etch profile were measured by an optical interferometer and a scanning electron microscope.

A Micro platform for micro gas sensor consisted of micro heater, insulator, and sensing electrode on 2 μm thick SiNx membrane. Three types of micro platforms were designed and fabricated with membrane sizes. Total size of micro platform was 2.6 mm by 2.6 mm. Measured power consumptions were 28 mW, 28 mW, and 32.5 mW for Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3. At this moment, temperatures of membranes on the platforms were 295℃, 297℃, and 296℃, respectively. Fabricated micro platform considered appropriate to apply for low power consumption micro gas sensor. Micro gas sensors were prepared by the sequence that SnO2 nanopowder pastes were dropped on membrane of Type 1 platforms, dried in oven, heat-treated with micro heaters in platforms. One of the micro gas sensors was tested for gas response to 1157 ppm, 578 ppm, and 231 ppm of methane and 1.68 ppm, 0.84 ppm, and 0.42 ppm of NO2.

This paper presents a disposable microfluidic infusion pump using the restoring force of elastomeric membrane of Polydimethylsiloxane. Microfluidic infusion pump consists of hydraulic resistance control part, elastomeric blister actuator part, drug inlet and outlet. Expanded elastomeric blister actuator continuously pushes liquid in the chamber to outlet. At same time, microchannel diameter near the outlet was controlled by thin elastomeric membrane in hydraulic resistance control part. Eventually flow rate of infused liquid is controlled by air pressure. In experimental study, the amount of the filled liquid in the blister is precisely controlled by the height of the blister. Flow rate of infused liquid could be controlled, that is, controlled release of the drug over time was possible by adjusting hydraulic resistance and restoring pressure with the blister actuator.

‘漢城’은 백제 도성의 명칭으로 널리 알려져 있다. 그런데 신라에서도 진흥왕이 건립한 순수비인 「북한산비」와 「창녕비」에 ‘한성’이 기록되어 있다. 이러한 신라의 한성은 한강의 남쪽에 위치했던 백제의 수도 한성이 아니라, 한강의 북쪽에 설치한 북한산주를 뜻하는 명칭으로 파악된다. 신라의 북한산주(한성) 지역에는 백제와의 전투에서 전사한 장춘랑과 파랑을 위해 659년에 장의사라는 불교 사원이 창건된다. 장의사는 진흥왕이 세운 「북한산비」가 자리한 비봉 아래에 위치하면서, 신라 중고기에 왕경이 아닌 지역에 창건된 중요한 불교 사원이다. 따라서 필자는 장춘랑과 파랑이 순국한 전쟁을 신라가 백제로부터 한강 하류 지역을 빼앗은 진흥왕 14년(553) 무렵과 연결시켰다. 그렇다면 신라는 진흥왕이 백제 성왕과의 전투에서 승리했다는 상징성을 가진 장소인 비봉 아래에 장의사라는 불교 사원을 세워, 태종 무열왕 시기에 삼국 통합 전쟁에서의 승리를 다짐한 것으로 볼 수 있다. “Hanseong” is widely known as the name of Baekje’s capital city. However, in Silla, “Hanseong” is recorded in Bukhansan Monument and Changnyeong Monument by King Jinheung. Silla’s Hanseong is not the capital of Baekje located in the south of the Han River, but is understood to mean Bukhansanju installed in the north of the Han River. In the Bukhansanju(Hanseong) area of Silla, a Buddhist temple called Jangui sa was founded in 659 for Jang-Chun-rang and Pa-rang, who were killed in the battle against Baekje. This area was important not only in the war between Silla and Baekje, but also in the war against Goguryeo during the Unified War of the Three Kingdoms. Therefore, Jangjangsa Temple was founded to pray for the repose of the soldiers who died in this area, and can be seen as a Buddhist temple that wished for the integration of the three countries.
한국인의 위궤양 및 십이지장궤양 환자에서 Helicobacter pylori 감염 빈도

Objectives: Peptic ulcer is the major condition that affect numerous individuals every year. In 1983, Warren and Marshall presented the evidence that H. pylori was associated with gastritis and peptic ulcer. Thereafter, K. pylori infection is thought to be a important factor in the pathogenesis of gastric and duodenal ulcer. In western studies, about 58% to 100% of patients with peptic ulcer disease were infected with H. pylori. But in Korea, there is no study about the prevalence of H. pylori infection in peptic ulcer disease despite of its high prevalence and importance. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of H. pylori infection in case of gastric and duodenal ulcer disease in Korea. Methods - We surveyed the prevalence of H. pylori infection of 1031 patients, who were diagnosed as gastric or duodenal ulcer by gastrofiberoscopy. H. pylori infection was evaluated with Rapid Urease Test(CLO test) and/or histology by Wright-Giemsa staining. Results: 1) Peptic ulcer was more frequently developed in males than females, as the frequency of peptic ulcer was 77% in males, and 23% in females. But in view of the prevalence of H. pylori infection, there was no significant difference between males and females, 73% in males and 71% in females. 2) Gastric ulcer was most common in sixth decade(29.8%), but the prevalence of H. pylori infection was peak in fourth(76%), and fifth decade (73%). 3) Duodenal ulcer was most common in fourth decade(26.3%), but the prevalence of H. pylori infection was peak in teenagers(93%) and third decade(87%). 4) The patients who had both gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer concurrently were most common in sixth decade(27.9%), but the prevalence of H, pylori infection was peak in third decade(100%). Conclusion: We concluded that the majority of peptic ulcer patients in Korea had H. pylori infection. Particularly, young aged patients had higher H. pylori infection rate than old aged.
