Background: Hemoglobin dilution occurs after acute blood loss, by shifting extravascular blood components into the intravascular space, providing the theoretical possible to calculate amount of blood loss by comparing this difference. Assessing blood loss during the operative procedure is crucial to provide appropriate treatment, however there are few objective standards by which to make this assessment. In this study, we used the hemoglobin dilution method to predict blood loss following an operative procedure. Methods: During the year 2007, 96 patients who had undergone lumbar spinal fusion surgery were enrolled in this study. On a retrospective basis, we investigated the weight, height, intraoperative blood loss, hemoglobin change, and the amount of transfused erythrocytes by reviewing anesthetic notes from the surgery. On the basis of these data, we calculated estimated blood loss by using Nadler¡'s formula. Results: The majority of study participants were female and average age was 60.1 yrs. We observed 2.3 g/dl decrement of postoperative hemoglobin, and estimated blood volume was 3,599 ml. Estimated blood loss was 853.7 ml, and observed blood loss was 1,070 ml, thus creating 217.1 ml difference. Analysis showed a moderate degree of correlation between observed and estimated values and a correlation coefficient of 0.49. We obtained regression equations of y = 0.828x + 363.5. Conclusions: Estimated blood loss was underestimated compared to observed values, by 20%, and this discrepancy is was attributed to ethnic differences. To predict a precise estimated blood loss, attempts to make a modified formula targeted to the Korean population are required.

Recently, natural coastal hazards such as tsunamis, storm surges and sea level rising have increasingly threatened coastal communities. Among them, a tsunami may cause devastating damage not only neighboring areas but also distant areas. An effective and economic way for tsunami hazard mitigation planning is to develop inundation maps at those coastal communities vulnerable to tsunami invasions. In this study, tsunamis generated at the Ryukyu Trench zone located off the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula are investigated. A composite numerical model based on the shallow-water theory is employed to obtain inundation maps at Samchunpo and Tongyeong Ports. These maps can be used by local authorities to make mitigation plans and hazard maps against unexpected tsunami attacks. 최근 지진해일, 폭풍해일 및 해수면 상승 등과 같은 자연재해가 해안지역을 위협하고 있다. 자연재해 중에서 지진해일은 인접지역은물론 멀리 떨어진 지역에 까지 막대한 피해를 일으킬 수 있다. 지진해일의 급습에 노출된 연안지역에서의 가장 효과적이며 경제적인방재대책의 하나는 침수예상도를 제작하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라 남쪽에 위치한 류큐해구에서 발생하는 지진해일에 대하여천수이론에 근거한 복합수치모형을 사용하여 삼천포항과 통형항의 침수예상도를 제작하였다. 제작된 침수예상도는 예상할 수 없는 지진해일의 급습에 대비한 재해정보도와 대피계획을 수립할 때 이용할 수 있다.

This study focuses on the neighborhood streets of residential areas. It proposes planning elements to improve the related projects from the viewpoint that neighborhood streets are an extension of a resident’s living environment. Related literature and guideline cases were reviewed to analyze the conditions of a neighborhood street to discuss ways to design and improve its overall environment. In particular, the keynotes and characteristics of domestic and foreign street space guides were compared and analyzed to review the related items of a neighborhood street while addressing supplementary items. The results suggest considerations such as the criteria, connectivity, safety, accessibility, convenience, amenities for pedestrians and residents involving the planning and design elements of residential roads. 이 연구는 주거지의 생활도로에 주목하고 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 생활도로가 지역 거주자들의 생활이 확장된 공간이라는 관점에서 관련 계획을 개선하기 위한 계획 요소를 제안하는 것이다. 연구방법은 국내외 가로공간 관련 가이드 사례를 분석하는 문헌분석과 계획요소 도출을 통해 실제 대상지에서의 적용가능성을 검증하는 방법을 활용한다. 특히, 국내외 가로공간 가이드의 기조와 특성을 비교분석하여 본 연구에서 다루는 생활도로 관련 항목, 보완 항목 등을 검토한다. 연구결과로는 주거지 생활도로의 계획요소는 건물 저층부의 용도, 형태, 주차 등의 고려사항과 공간적 해결 전략과 계획방향을 제시하였다.

2013년 박근혜 대통령의 유라시아 이니셔티브 선언을 발표한 이후 교통, 통신, 토목, 신호 등 인프라 건설에 기초한 공동번영을 약속함으로써 남북통일을 위한 분위기가 조성되고 있었으나 최근 북한과의 위기의식 고조로 인해 그마저도 긴장되고 있는 실정이다. 지피지기 백전백승이라는 한자성어와 같이 북한의 철도와 우리나라 철도에 대해 비교·분석하고 필요한 세부항목을 도출하여 북한철도 인프라 구축을 통한 한반도 철도 혁신 프로젝트에 대비해야 할 내용을 정리하였다. 이에 본 논문은 북한 철도의 현황을 SWOT 분석을 통해 좀 더 체계적으로 분석하여, 통일 대비 향후 한반도 철도의 발전방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. In 2013, President Park Geun-hye’s Eurasia Initiative agreed to co-prosperity between North and South Korea based on establishing infrastructure, such as transportation and telecommunication. Accordingly, it created the atmosphere of reunification between North and South Korea. Recently, however, North Korea’s continuing provocations have disrupted this positive mood. As the saying goes, “If you know your enemy and yourself, you can win every battle.” We should prepare unified railway in case of the reunification by analyzing both North and South Korea’s railway. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to analyze the present condition of railway in North Korea by SWOT analysis and propose the direction of future development in the Korean Peninsula.
대학주변 상업가로 파사드 특성 - 청주 내수동로114번길 사례-

This study is aimed at analyzing the characteristics of the facades of commercial streets near a university and deriving the direction of improving the street space while taking into consideration the existing building facades. Regarding the research method, elevation drawings of the buildings in the target area were created by visiting the area in person, and the relevant physical factors were analyzed. Facade components taken into consideration included the shape and size of the elevation, signage, openings, boundary treatment methods, freestanding walls in the upper stories, and stone walls or fences. This study focused on commercial streets in a university area containing both commercial and residential zones. The facade components of each section of the target area were examined, and their characteristics were derived as results.

This paper examines the definitions of smart farm terms used in various fields and to present the significance of smart farm plans. Through this, the ultimate goal is to realize smart farm plans as a sustainable spatial planning measure for urban areas. First, the use of the relevant terms by domestic researchers was examined. Then, whether the terms were used with the inclusion of meanings related to technology, environment, and planning by each researcher was reviewed. Based on this, the paper discusses the possibility of formulating a smart farm plan that does not simply refer to a greenhouse, garden, or landscaping site but can elucidate how to form and supply such spaces.
