Objectives: This study was designed to evaluate the effect of Korean medicine treatment on four cases involving hemorrhoid patients. Methods: Four patients suffering from hemorrhoids were treated with Korean medicine treatment, such as herbal medicine, and acupuncture. Patients were diagnosed using pictures of the anus, which were used to compare before and after treatment and to evaluate treatment efficacy. Results: After treatment, the symptoms of pain and other complaints conspicuously improved. Conclusions: As indicated by before and after treatment pictures of the anus and decreased symptoms, Korean medicine treatment is effective in treating hemorrhoids.

Due to its low cost and availability, lignocellulosic biomass is a highly potential renewable materials. The bio-oil from pyrolysis of biomass has high content of oxygen, more acidic compounds and low heating value. Thus, it requires the upgrading processes of bio-oil to get high-quality bio-oil. In this study, we compared the product distribution from catalytic upgrading of furfural over ZSM-5 with a different particle size (average particle size; about 0.3mm, 3.2mm). The experiment were conducted in a continuous plug flow reactor at atmosphere pressure during 20 minutes, in a temperature range of 400 to 600°C. The convertsion of furfural to furan, mono-rings, PAHs in main liquid products, and olefins, CO, CO<sub>2</sub> in gas products was clearly differed with particle size.
Collection of Personal Data with Information Externality in Two-Sided Markets

We study the conditions under which an internet platform excessively collects personal information when information externality exists. A monopolistic platform runs two-sided business where users and firms form each side. Users do not pay fees to the platform, but firms pay for targeted advertisements. In an environment where marginal information externality is large, the amount of personal information collected exceeds social optimum i) when the utility of marginal user does not make up for the aggregate disutility of existing users and firms and ii) when the platform extracts large markup from firms to keep users.
1P-350 Effect of support of Mg-Ni-Mo catalyst on upgrading of bio-tar in supercritical ethanol

Lignocellulosic biomass is widely considered an alternative to petroleum fuels due to their low nitrogen and sulfur content and CO<sub>2</sub> balance of almost zero. Among various conversion technologies of lignocellulosic biomass, pyrolysis is one of the most promising thermal conversion in the absence of O<sub>2</sub>. However, pyrolysis oil from pyrolysis thermal conversion of lignocellulosic biomass results in high acidity, water content, low heating values, and high viscosity. Therefore, the research of new methods for the upgrade of pyrolysis oil is a top priority. In this study, catalytic upgrading of wood sawdust pyrolysis oil in supercritical ethanol was performed. The various types of supports including activated charcoal (AC), KOH-treatment of AC, SBA-15, and KIT-6) with Mg-Ni-Mo active metals were screened to investigate their effects on the product yields and properties, i.e., elemental composition, heating value, water content and acidity.
A Performance Index for Time Slot Allocation in Link-16 Relative Navigation System

In this paper, we propose a performance index that can compare the position estimation performance according to the time slot allocation order, which is superior in the position estimation performance in the operation of the Link-16 based relative navigation system. In order to verify the validity of the performance index, a software-based Link-16 relative navigation system performance analysis platform composed of a signal generator, a signal reception and navigation algorithm execution unit, and a performance analysis unit was designed. Using the designed software platform, we analyzed the relationship between proposed performance index and position estimation performance according to time slot allocation order in the same position reference (PR) arrangement. The performance index of the proposed time slot allocation is expected to be utilized not only for the Link-16 system, but also for the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA)-based navigation system.
