The aim of this study was to investigate the characteristics and antioxidant activities of vinegar made with Etteum bell flower root (0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2%) during two-step fermentation. Acetic acid was fermented at $30^{\circ}C$ for 16 days and samples of vinegar were extracted at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16 days. The pH of Etteum bell flower root vinegar did not significantly differ among the samples, but the acidity increased during fermentation. Alcohol content decreased at 16 days of fermentation and less than 1% alcohol was shown in all samples after fermentation. The pure acetic acid yield was 88.85~98.97%, whereby the total phenolic compound content and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activities increased as the ratio of the Etteum bell flower root increased. The sensory scores of vinegar fermented with 1.5% Etteum bell flower root are greater than those of vinegar prepared by other treatments. Therefore, vinegar with 1.5% Etteum bell flower root added is considered to be the most suitable for manufacturing.

This study investigated the quality characteristics and antioxidant activities of Makgeolli (a traditional Korean rice wine) made with Etteum bell flower root (0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2% with steamed rice) during fermentation. The pH values of Makgeolli with Etteum bell flower root powder decreased after 3 days of fermentation and then increased after 5 days of fermentation. Sugar content decreased after 3 days of fermentation. Color evaluation showed the L values of these drinks decreased during fermentation, whereas a and b values both increased. The alcohol content of Makgeolli increased after fermentation, reaching a maximum concentration of 7.90-8.07% by the end of fermentation. Total phenolic compound contents and DPPH radical scavenging activities increased as the ratio of Etteum bell flower root increased. Sensory scores of Makgeolli fermented with 1.5% Etteum bell flower root ware greater than those of Makgeolli prepared by other treatments. Therefore, Makgeolli added with 1.5% Etteum bell flower root added considered to be the most suitable for manufacturing.
Se-TiO2 지지체를 이용한 V/W/TiO2 NH3-SCR 촉매의 반응 특성 연구

본 연구는 질소산화물 제거를 위하여 암모니아를 환원제로 사용하는 선택적 촉매 환원법에 있어 지지체에 셀레늄을 첨가하여 300 ℃ 이하에서 V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>/WO<sub>3</sub>/TiO<sub>2</sub>의 반응 활성을 증진시키기 위한 실험 및 반응특성 연구를 수행하였다. 졸-겔법으로 Se-TiO<sub>2</sub> 및 TiO<sub>2</sub>를 합성하였으며, 이를 지지체로 하여 V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>/WO<sub>3</sub>/TiO<sub>2</sub> 및 V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>/WO<sub>3</sub>/Se-TiO<sub>2</sub> 촉매를 제조하여 상용 촉매와 반응 활성을 비교하였다. 실험 결과, 졸-겔법으로 합성한 TiO<sub>2</sub>를 사용한 촉매의 탈질 효율이 상용 TiO<sub>2</sub>를 사용하여 제조한 촉매보다 낮은 결과를 보였으나 셀레늄을 첨가함에 따라 탈질 효율이 증진되었다. 따라서 BET, XRD, Raman, H<sub>2</sub>-TPR 및 FT-IR분석을 통하여 셀레늄의 첨가가 촉매의 구조에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며 셀레늄 첨가에 의한 비표면적의 증가와 단량체 및 복합체 바나듐 종의 형성이 반응 특성에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. In this study, an experiment and a reaction characteristic study were conducted to enhance the reaction activity of V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>/WO<sub>3</sub>/TiO<sub>2</sub> at 300 °C or less by adding selenium to the support, in a selective catalytic reduction method using ammonia as a reducing agent to remove nitrogen oxides. Se-TiO<sub>2</sub> and TiO<sub>2</sub> were synthesized using the sol-gel method, and used as a support when preparing V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>/WO<sub>3</sub>/TiO<sub>2</sub> and V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>/WO<sub>3</sub>/Se-TiO<sub>2</sub> catalysts. The reaction activity of our catalyst was compared with that of a commercial catalyst. The denitration efficiency of the catalyst using TiO<sub>2</sub> prepared by the sol-gel method was lower than that of the catalyst prepared using commercial TiO<sub>2</sub>, but was improved by the addition of selenium. Thus, the effect of selenium addition on the catalyst structure was analyzed using BET, XRD, Raman, H<sub>2</sub>-TPR, and FT-IR measurements and the effect of the increase in specific surface area by selenium addition and the formation of monomer and complex vanadium species on reaction characteristics were confirmed.
글리세롤을 이용한 구연산캡핑 은나노입자의 정맥주사용 현탄액 조제 및 안정성

Citrate-capped silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are widely used in industry, consumer products and medical appliances. However, information on the toxicity, environmental fate and toxicokinetics are not enough. In this study, stability of citrate-capped AgNPs was investigated using different types of isotonic solution, which is important in the toxicokinetic study by the exposure route of intravenous injection. Size, morphology, zeta potential and ion formation were investigated in isotonic solutions for the physico-chemical characterization of AgNPs. Aggregation and precipitation of AgNPs were observed in saline or phosphate-buffered saline while they were stable without precipitation in 2% glycerol of isotonic solution. The average size of AgNPs in 2% glycerol was 6~10 nm, which was almost same as that in water-based suspension of AgNPs. Zeta potential was ranged from -30 mV to -60 mV, which was in the range of original stock AgNPs. The stability was maintained during the whole experimental period of 48 hours. Furthermore, the stability was not changed in different temperature (10~36oC) and at different concentrations (10~1,000 ppm). The osmolarity of the AgNPs suspension was 299±1 mOsm/kg which was in isotonic range. These data suggest that AgNPs in 2% glycerol solution can be used for the preparations of intravenous injection for toxicokinetic study without undesired disturbance of blood isotonicity.
