        창조도시정책의 추진과정과 성과에 대한 연구: 영국의 테크시티 정책을 중심으로

        Since 1997 the United Kingdom has pursued creative industry and creative city development in accordance with the New Labor Party policy, strengthening its cluster policy by assigning creative city policies to traditional manufacturing-oriented regions. Tech City in London, one of the most successful examples of digital clusters, is an area in which diverse ecosystems for venture business integration have been established, as the once barren space began to spontaneously develop. For this region, systematic linkages including universities, private companies, start-ups, and accelerators have been added, along with the UK government`s active support system. As a result of this opportunity, the scale of the UK start-up ecosystem has significantly grown, the number of local companies has surged, and brand effect has greatly improved. Tech City is an example of a well-balanced combination of public effort and private governance, based on the region`s historical background and its potential for growth. It is an effective coordination of public policy and private active investment, services, research, and education. The market platform for institutional technology and commercialization, and aggressive investment shares in the risk, have lead to its growth as a start-up and an innovative city. Britain`s efforts to expand the nationwide cluster for the future-oriented digital economy is most noteworthy.

        창조적 장소브랜딩 전략을 위한 연구

        기술의 발달과 함께 찾아온 급격한 산업패러다임의 변화에 따라 도시재생의 개념도 장소자산이나 문화적 특성을 반영하는 연성적 지역개발의 개념이 부각되고 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 지역의 문화나 상징을 활용, 이미지를 구축하여 지역경쟁력을 강화시키고자 하는 장소마케팅(place marketing)의 개념이 등장했고, 최근에는 인터넷과 SNS의 발달과 함께 보다 진보된 개념인 콘텐츠 중심의 장소브랜딩(place branding)이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 도시재생의 개념으로서 장소마케팅과 장소브랜딩에 대해서 살펴보고, 변화하는 패러다임 속에서 장소브랜딩을 구성하는 새로운 요소로서 창조성에 대한 논의와 함께 이를 반영한 새로운 모델을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 일본 오사카(大板)의 사례를 살펴보았다. 오사카의 경우, 각기 다른 주체에 의해 다양한 형태로 장소브랜딩이 이루어지고 있으며, 모두 top-down방식이 아닌 bottom-up방식으로 나타나고 있다는 점이 주목된다. 구체적으로는 지역의 유휴공간을 예술과 문화의 거점으로 변화시켜 지역의 정체성을 형성하고(크리에이티브 빌리지), 창조적 인력들이 모여들어 지역의 창조적 콘텐츠를 생산하며(AIR오사카), 창조적 공유를 기반으로 국제적 거점을 가진 글로컬라이제이션(glocalization)의 대표적 사례(극동EX) 등을 살펴볼 수 있었다. The concept of urban regeneration increasingly tends to focus on the soft regional development emphasizing place resources and cultural features as the change of industrial paradigm and technological development have deepened. In this context, the place marking concept that tries to promote regional competitiveness through utilizing regional cultures and symbols and constructing regional images has emerged. It recently makes a shift toward a new concept of place branding due to the development of internet and SNS. This study investigates place marketing and place branding as the concepts of urban regeneration and discusses creativity as a new element of place branding to finally present a new model. The paper also examines the case of Osake, Japan. The case study of Osaka typically shows that various actors create place branding in various ways in not top-down but bottom-up approach. They transforms unused regional spaces into the core of arts and culture and then contribute to the formations of regional identity(the case of creative village). In addition, creative talents gathered to produce regional creative contents(the case of AIR Osaka) and there is typical example of glocalization with international hub based on a creative share(the case of Far East EX).

        임상연구 : 생쥐 배아줄기세포에서 단일세포 부유 배양에 의한 apoptosis 의 기전

        Objective : Embryonic stem cells (ES cells) are pluripotential, and are therefore used to construct gene knock-out mice and to study cell differentiation and early developmental processes in mice. This study was designated to examine apoptotic processes in ES cells according to culture conditions and to study roles of extracellular matrix on the process. Methods : Apoptosis was determined by DNA fragmentation and kinase activity during apoptotic process was measured. Results : The apoptosis of mouse ES cells was induced when the cells were dispersed as single cells, whereas this process was suppressed when they proliferated in aggregates. Single cell suspension culture did not affect expression of bcl-2 and bax mRNA. Single cell suspension culture activated stress-activated protein kinase/c-jun-N-terminal kinase (SAPK/JNK), but not p38 kinase. The apoptosis of ES cells was repressed when the cells were cultured on feeders prepared from mouse embryonic fibroblasts (MEF), or on the petri dishes coated with fibronectin or laminin, but not with collagen or poly-L-lysine. Culture supernatants from MEF cells did not block the apoptosis of ES cells, which suggests that a direct interaction between ES cells and MEF cells is required for the suppression of apoptosis. Activation of SAPK/JNK by single cell suspension was protected by interaction of cells with laminin or fibronectin, but not with collagen or poly-L-lysine. Conclusion : The suspension of ES cells as single cells causes serious damage and induces apoptosis, and the apoptotic process is mediated by the activation of SAPK/JNK and is inhibited by the interaction of ES cells with extracellular matrix.

        캐나다 퀘벡의 프랑스어 몰입교육 탄생의 사회, 역사적 배경

        This paper attempts to examone the social and historical background of the French immersion program in the 1960s in Quebec, Canada. First, the paper discusses a variety of immersion programs around the world and attempts to define what an immersion language program is by comparing similar types of language programs. Second, it presents a brief history of the French-speaking Quebec province, focusing on the historical development and the identity struggles of the French-speaking Quebecois in Canada. Third, political and social turmoils like the Quiet Revolution in the 1960s and 1970s are discussed. Fourth, a series of major language bills (e.g., Bill 63, Bill 22, and Bill 101) passed during the period are dealt with to show how French-speaking Quebecois approached the French language to rebuild a French-dominated society in Quebec. Finally, this paper discusses how the social and historical background naturally led some English speaking parents to initiate and choose such a revolutionary language program to help their children survive in the emerging French-dominated society. Finally, its implications policies (e.g., English immersion education in Korea) should be dealt with in its social and historical contexts of a specific society.

        세 개의 히드록실기를 가진 양이온 계면활성제 합성 및 계면 특성에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 도데실 글리시딜 에테르와 아미노에탄올을 반응시킨 후 디메틸 설페이트로 4급화시켜 분자 내에 2개의 라우릴기, 3개의 히드록실기를 가진 양이온 계면활성제 BHMAS (N, N-bis-(3`-n-dodecyloxy-2`-hydroxypropyl)-N-methyl- 2-hydroxyethylammonium methyl sulfate)를 합성하였고, 생성물의 분자구조는 1 H-NMR, FT-IR 등의 기기분석을 통하여 확인하였다. 합성한 계면활성제의 CMC (critical micelle concentration)는 9.12 × 10 -4 mol/L이며, CMC에서의 표면장력은 28.71mN/m이었다. Maximum bubble pressure tensiometer를 사용하여 동적 표면장력을 측정한 결과, 공기와 수용액의 계면이 계면활성제 단분자에 의하여 포화되는 데 비교적 오랜 시간이 소요되었다. 1 wt% 계면활성제 수용액과 n-decane 사이의 계면장력은 0.045mN/m이며, 평형에 도달하는 데 약 5 min의 시간이 소요되었다. 합성된 계면활성제의 흡착 특성이 매우 우수하였으며, 합성한 양이온 계면활성제가 섬유표면에 효과적으로 흡착되어 유연효과를 나타낼 수 있음을 확인하였다. In this study, a cationic surfactant BHMAS (N,N-bis-(3`-n-dodecyloxy-2`-hydroxypropyl)-N-methyl-2-hydroxyethylammonium methyl sulfate) having two lauryl and three hydroxyl groups was synthesized by the reaction of n-dodecyl glycidyl ether and 2-aminoethanol followed by the quarternization with dimethyl sulfate. The structure of the product was elucidated by 1 H-NMR and FT-IR. The CMC (critical micelle concentration) and surface tension of BHMAS at CMC condition were found to be 9.12 × 10 -4mol/L and 28.71mN/m respectively. Dynamic surface tension measurements using a maximum bubble pressure tensiometer indicated that a relatively long time was required to saturate the interface between air and aqueous surfactant solution. The interfacial tension measured between 1 wt% surfactant solution and n-decane reached an equilibrium value of 0.045mN/m in 5 min. The adsorption capacity of the synthesized surfactant was observed to be excellent, which suggests that the surfactant can be used as a softening agent during a laundry process.

        인공지능 기반의 축구경기 부상 위험도 예측에 관한 연구

        Soccer, widely popular around the world, is characterized by its dynamic nature, leading to a higher risk of injury compared to other sports. Utilizing artificial intelligence for predicting injury risk could have a positive impact on players by potentially mitigating these risks. We studied AI model to analyze various injury-causing factors, aiming to reduce injuries in soccer matches. Utilizing comprehensive match data, including environmental factors like team formations and referees, This study focuses on predicting injury risks per match. Data was sourced from the English Premier Leagues official site and Navers international soccer platform. We used LSTM and Gradient Boosting models, optimized for sequential and non-linear data analysis, respectively. The results of this study indicate that while LSTM achieved a mean squared error (MSE) of approximately 24.4 and Gradient Boosting performed slightly better with an MSE of around 16.3, both models require further refinement for higher accuracy, especially in matches with atypical injury patterns. This study contributes to the proactive management of injury risks, potentially enhancing player safety in soccer.

        전자선 조사와 4-메틸모포린-N-옥사이드 용액을 이용한 볏짚의 전처리 방법

        2세대 바이오매스 볏짚을 이용하여 전자선 조사 후 NMMO 처리 공정을 수행하고 이를 분석하였다. 볏짚은 전자선 500 kGy 조사 후 NMMO 처리를 한 경우 72시간의 효소당 화를 거쳐 글루코스 60.8%와 자일로스 9.7% 포함 약 83.8% 정도의 당수율을 보였다. 이 전처리 공정은 유해한 화학물질 을 사용하지 않아서 친환경적이며 전자선 조사와 NMMO 처 리의 시너지 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 전자선 조사량이 너무 높다는 단점이 있으며 추후에는 낮은 전자선 조사량과 여러 가지 단일공정을 통합한 새로운 복합전처리 방법 연구의 필요성이 있다. 따라서 이 단점을 보완한다면 전자선 조사라는 친환경적 방법과 더불어 NMMO 용액의 재활용성을 이유로 바이오에탄올 생산 등의 산업현장에의 적용 가능성이 높다는 것을 알 수 있었다. In this study, a facile two-step pretreatment method was investigated for producing fermentable sugars. Rice straw was pretreated using electron beam irradiation (EBI) and 4-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO) prior to enzymatic hydrolysis. In the first stage, the EBI on the rice straw was carried out at various doses (100, 300, 500 kGy) and then, irradiated rice straw was stirred with NMMO solution at 120oC for 1 h for the second stage. The pretreated rice straw was hydrolyzed by cellulase 1.5 L (70 FPU/ml) and Novozyme-188 (40 CbU/ml) at 50oC for 24, 48, and 72 h. A sugar yield of 83.8% was obtained from the pretreated rice straw after 72 h of enzymatic hydrolysis. Also, FTIR and XRD results indicate that the pretreatment of the rice straw was effective due to the synergic effects of the two-step pretreatment. In conclusion, rice straw might be a potential substrate for bioethanol production by yeast fermentation.
