On 6 healthy adult males aged 20-30 years, oxygen pulse was observed during carrying sand bags weighing 10, 20 and 30 kg on a level treadmill running with speeds of 3, 4 and 5 km/hr. The results obtained were as follows. 1. Oxygen pulse during load carrying on a level treadmill was proportionately increased with an increase of work load, average oxygen uptake per minute. Regression equation of oxygen pulse (y: $m\iota$/beat) on the average oxygen uptake (x:$\iota$/min) required for each grade of work was expressed as y=3.34x+5.99, $s_{y.x}=0.858$). 2. Oxygen pulse reached the highest value 2-5 minutes after the start of load carrying, and thereafter it decreased gradually to some extend as the load carrying was continued. Rate of decrease in the oxygen pulse was greater in lighter works. 3. In lighter works requiring less than $2.0\iota/min$ of oxygen uptake, no difference in oxygen pulse could be seen between methods of carrying even when the same amount of load was carried. In heavier works requiring more than $2.0\iota/min$ of oxygen uptake, oxygen pulse was larger in case of carrying a load by embrace, in both hands and on head than on back or on shoulder.

Dense crack-free yttria film with 10 $\mu m$ thickness was prepared on aluminum by aerosol deposition. X-ray diffraction pattern on the film showed that it contained the same crystalline phase as the raw powder. Transmission electron microscopy revealed a nanostructured yttria film with grains smaller than 100 nm. Tensile adhesion strength between the film and aluminum substrate was 57.8 $\pm$ 6.3MPa. According to the etching test with $CF_4-O_2$ plasma, the etching rate of the yttria film was 1/100 that of quartz, 1/10 that of sintered alumina and comparable to that of sintered yttria.
분광기를 이용한 우라늄산화물(UOX) 소결체의 밀도 분석

원자력연료 제조공정에서 생산되는 우라늄산화물(uranium oxide, UOX) 소결체의 밀도 분석은 일반적으로 소결공정을 거친 후, 소결체의 표본을 가지고 측정한다. 본 연구에서는 우라늄산화물의 중간물질인 중우라늄산암모늄(ammonium diuranate)의 색도를 분광기(spectrophotometer)로 측정함으로써 소결공정 이전에 우라늄산화물 소결체의 밀도를 분석해 보았다. 중우라늄산암모늄 표준 샘플 5개를 통해 얻은 명도 및 색의 좌푯(L, a, b)값과 통상적인 방법으로 얻은 소결체 밀도의 상관관계 추세선을 바탕으로 표적 샘플의 밀도를 분석한 결과, L 값에 대한 소결체의 밀도 분석이 결정계수 R<sup>2</sup> 값 0.9967로 가장 신뢰성이 높게 나왔음을 확인하였다. a 값에 대한 결정계수 R2 값은 0.9534로 상관관계가 높은 편이나 L 값보다는 낮았다. 이에 반해 b 값에 대한 결정계수 R<sup>2</sup> 값은 0.4349로 상관관계가 거의 없었다. The sintered density of uranium oxide pellets for pressurized water reactors is generally analyzed with pellet`s samples completed with the sintering process. In this paper, the sintered density was analyzed by the newly developed method measuring the chromatography of ammonium diuranate, a precursor of uranium oxide, by a spectrophotometer (CM-5, Konica Minolta) before completing the sintering process. As a result of the sintered density analysis based on the brightness, color coordinate values (L, a, b) obtained from five ammonium diuranate samples by a spectrophotometer and the trend line of sintered density analyzed by a previous method, the sintered density with respect to the L value was observed with 0.9967 of the decision factor R<sup>2</sup>. In case of a value, R<sup>2</sup> value was 0.9534 indicating lower reliability than that of the L value. However, b value with R<sup>2</sup> value of 0.4349 showed a very low correlation.

본 논문은 양방향 Buck 컨버터 DCM 구동 시 사용되는 스위치의 전류링잉현상을 상세히 분석하고 이에 따른 스위치 효율과 시스템 전력 효율 차이를 실험을 통해 검증한다. 분석을 통해 얻은 결과를 바탕으로 양방향 Buck 컨버터 설계 시 전력 효율을 높이는 스위치 및 다이오드를 선정하였다.

$TiO_2$ is an environment-friendly semiconducting material, and it has photocatalytic and hydrophilic effect. There are a lot of reports on the photocatalytic characteristics of $TiO_2$, such as organic pollutants resolving, anti-bacterial, and self-purification material. In this paper, $TiO_2$ micron-sized powders were deposited on the glass by room temperature powder spray in vacuum process, so called aerosol deposition (AD), and nano-grained $TiO_2$ photocatalytic thin films were fabricated. The thickness of the films were controlled by changing the number of deposition cycle. Morphologies and characteristics of the AD-$TiO_2$ thin films were examined by SEM, TEM, XRD, and UV-Visible Spectrophotometer. As the thickness of $TiO_2$ films increased, surface roughness increased. By this increment, the reaction area between film and pollutant was enlarged, resulting in better photocatalytic property.
