Spontaneous regression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is extremely rare, and dozens of cases have been reported in the literature. In this report, we present a case of pathologically confirmed HCC that partially regressed without medical intervention. A 54-year-old Korean male with chronic hepatitis B had a hepatic mass detected by abdominal ultrasonography during a routine visit. A clinical diagnosis of HCC was made after measuring serum α-fetoprotein levels followed by dynamic computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. The patient delayed surgical resection; however, after 5 months, the size of the HCC decreased from 3.2 to 1.0 cm in diameter without any treatment. At that time the mass was surgically resected. Histopathology confirmed that the hepatic mass was consistent with partially regressed HCC and showed more intra- and peri-tumoral lymphocytes consisting of greater CD4+ T cell infiltration than what is normally seen in resected HCC. 본 연구는 우리나라 일부 학교의 실내공기질 현황을 조사 및 평가하고, 학생들이 쾌적한 교육 환경에서 생활할 수 있는 관리 방안으로 활용하는데 기여하고자 한다. 학교별 실내공기질를 분석한 결과, 일부학교의 경우 PM10은 학교보건법 기준 농도인 100 ㎍/㎥을 초과한 것으로 나타났다. CO₂는 고등학교가 초등학교와 중학교의 농도보다 각각 1.18배, 1.06배 높 은 수준으로 나타났으며(p<0.01), 일부 학교에서 학교보건법 기준 농도인 1,000 ppm을 초과한 곳도 일부 있는 것으로 나타났 다. HCHO는 학교별로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. TBC는 초등학교가 중학교와 고등학교보다 각각 1.23배, 1.33배 높은 수준을 보였으나(p<0.01), 전체적으로 학교보건법 기준 농도인 800 CFU/㎥ 이하의 농도 수준을 보였다. 전체학교의 교실 (Classroom)과 비교실(Non-classroom)의 농도비를 분석한 결과, PM<sub>10</sub>은 1.06, CO₂는 1.04, HCHO는 0.62, TBC는 1.16으로 나 타났다. The aim of this study is to analyze the IAQ concentrations of school rooms. In this study we measured and characterized IAQ at 440 school rooms from May 2009 to November 2012. At some school rooms, the PM10 concentrations exceeded the IAQ guidelines (100 ㎍/㎥) of the Ministry of Education. CO₂ concentrations at high schools were 1.18 and 1.06 times higher than that of the elementary and middle schools, respectively. CO₂ concentrations of some school rooms were exceeded the IAQ guidelines (1,000 ppm). Moreover, TBC concentrations at elementary school rooms were 1.23 and 1.33 times higher than that of the middle schools and high schools, respectively. TBC and HCHO concentrations did not exceed the IAQ guidelines. The classroom/non-classroom ratio of PM<sub>10</sub> was 1.06, while that CO₂ was 1.04, HCHO was 0.62, and TBC was 1.16.

As fracture of the patella may cause loss of continuity of the extensor mechanism and incongruity of the pateilofemoral joint, the aim of treatment is to restore function and strength of the knee and to minimize posttraumatic asteoarthritis by closed or open methods. To know which method is adequate to fixation of the patellar fractures, the authors reviewed 35 cases of the patellar fractures, which were treated with K wire fixation, circumferential wiring, madified tension band wiring or combined circumferential wiring with modified tension band wiring, with radiological change of patellar length after exercise, and obtained the following results: 1. Postoperative lengthening of the patella occurred in 17 out of 35 cases(4No) and the range was 1.3 to 8.0mm, mean 3.1mm 2. Pateilar lengthening occurred in cases with K-wire fixation or circumferential wiring more than modified tension band or combined circumferentiai wiring with modified tension band fixation 3 Modified tension band added to circumferential wiring may be obtained more rigid fixation in comminuted fracture, especially.

The fracture of the tibia shaft is difficult to treat because of high tendency of open fracture and complications such as osteomyelitis, soft tissue defect, delayed union and non-union To evaluate that external fixation alone can be a final solution on treatment of the tibial fractures or the change of treatment mod after external fixation, We studied 50 cases of fractures of the tibia shaft which were treated with external fixation between January 1984 and June 1988. The results were as follows. l. Among causes of injury, the traffic accidents were the most common. 2. Among the type of fractures, comminuted fractures were 26 cases(41%) and open fractures 47 cases(92%) By classification of Gustilo and Anderson most cases were open type lll(60%) 3 The 4 cases(8%) were treated with external fixation alone and the time to union averaged 5.2 months. 4. For the 15 cases(30%), external fixators were removed, then applied cast and the time to union averaged 5.3 months, The 12 cases(24%) were treated with bone grafting and cast after removal of external fixator and the time to union averaged 6.8 months 5. Among the secondary additional operation required after external fixation, bone operations were 34 cases, soft tissue operatians 13 cases and comosite operations 3 cases, The bone grafting were 22 cases(65%) out of 34 cases of bone operation and the muscle transfrs 5 cases(39%) out of 13 cases of soft tissue operation 6. The duration of external fixation was 22 days to 248 days, mean 101.6 days, 7, A retrospective evaluation of 50 cases treated external fixation revealed that external fixation was simple, safe and effective method in the initial stage of fracture treatment but could not be a final Solution.
