포터블 수면유도 뉴로피드백 시스템 구현을 위한 수면뇌파 상태 분류기 성능 평가

최근 많은 사람들이 불면증으로 인한 노동력저하, 인지기능저하, 정신질환 증가 등의 불편을 겪고 있다. 이에 대한 해결책은 인지치료나 약물치료가 거의 전부인 수준이나 부작용과 의존성 문제로 인해 장기적으로는 권장되지 않는 방법이 다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 수면 유도에 도움이 되는 포터블 뇌파 측정기 기반 뉴로피드백 시스템을 제안한다. 그리고 시스템 을 구현하는 데 가장 핵심적인 기능인 뇌파 상태 분류기를 설계하고 평가하며 성능에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 여러 요인들에 대해 최적화된 분류기 모델링 방법을 제시한다. 제안한 분류기를 이용할 시 포터블 뇌파 측정기에서 각성과 수면 단계를 97.9% 정확하게 구분할 수 있었다. Recently, many people have suffered from insomnia, labor loss, cognitive decline, and mental illness. The solution to this problem is almost entirely cognitive therapy or medication, but it is not recommended in the long term due to side effects and dependency problems. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a neuro feedback system based on portable EEG that helps induce sleeping. We design and evaluate the EEG classifier, which is the most important function to implement the system, and propose an optimized classifier modeling method for various factors that can affect performance. When using the proposed classifier, we could distinguish 97.9% of awakening and sleep phase in portable EEG.
The Role of Intra-abdominal Pressure Measurement in Awake Rat Cystometry

Rat cystometry is increasingly being used in research on overactive bladder and is a research tool for investigating bladder functions during the storage and voiding phases. Measurement of the pressure in the bladder is an essential part of cystometry, although that pressure is the sum of both detrusor and intra-abdominal pressures. In anesthetic cystometry, measurement of the intra-abdominal pressure is not necessary, because the values of this variable are negligible. In awake cystometry, however, it is mandatory to separate the changes in intra-abdominal pressure from those in intravesical pressure, because consciousness causes much variability in intra-abdominal pressure. This review describes why we use the term “detrusor overactivity” in animal research with intra-abdominal pressure and presents evidence for the role of intra-abdominal pressure in the cystometry of normal rats and in animal models of overactive bladder directed at understanding the pathogenesis of the overactive bladder condition. The methodology is also briefly reviewed.

SPS로 제조된 HA/β-TCP 복합재의 기공의 크기와 분포에 미치는 지지체 량의 영향

Ceramics biomaterials are useful as implant materials in orthopedic surgery. In this study, porous HA(hydroxyapatite)/${\beta}$-TCP(tricalcium phosphate) composite biomaterials were successfully fabricated using HA/${\beta}$-TCP powders with 10-30 wt% $NH_4HCO_3$ as a space holder(SH) and $TiH_2$ as a foaming agent, and MgO powder as a binder. The HA/${\beta}$-TCP powders were consolidated by spark plasma sintering(SPS) process at $1000^{\circ}C$ under 20 MPa conditions. The effect of SH content on the pore size and distribution of the HA/${\beta}$-TCP composite was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and a microfocus X-ray computer tomography system(SMX-225CT). These microstructure observations revealed that the volume fraction of the pores increased with increasing SH content. The pore size of the HA/${\beta}$-TCP composites is about $400-500{\mu}m$. The relative density of the porous HA/${\beta}$-TCP composite increased with decreasing SH content. The porous HA/${\beta}$-TCP composite fabricated with 30%SH exhibited an elastic modulus similar to that of cortical bone; however, the compression strength of this composite is higher than that of cortical bone.
