Skin prick tests with 53 inhalant and 46 food allergens were performed in 812 patients(bronchial asthrna. 342, allergic rhinitis. 166, combined: 158, urticaria ' 127, atopic dermatitis.' 19) and the level of total IgE were evaluated in 683 patients(bronchial asthma. 293, allergic rhinitis. 135, combined: 140, urticaria 105, atopic dermatitis. 10) at the Allergy Clinic of Severance Hospital in Yonsei University College of Medicine. The following results were obtained. 1) 578 patients(71.7%) showed positive reactions (erythema 21mm) to one or more inhalant allergens, 234 patients(28.8%) showed negative reactions to all inhalant allegens and 347 patients (42.8%) showed positive reactions to one or more food allergens. 2) House dust mite antigens brought positive reactions in 44.9% of total patients, house dust in 42%, insects in 32% animal epithelials in 32.0%, weed pollens in 25.3%, molds in 19.5%, grass pollens in 13.2%, tree pollens in 11.6% and bacteria in 5.8%. 3) Dermatophagoides farinae antigen was the most frequent allergen showing positive results on skin prick tests, followed by house dust, threshing mixture, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, cat fur, household insect and so on. 4) There was a significant difference in the level of total IgE between positive and negative skin test groups.(p<0.001) 5) The levelsof total IgE in patients with positive response to both house dust mite and pollen were significantly higher than those of positive responders to house dust mite or pollen alone.
단위 특징형상 단순화를 이용한 특징형상기반 모델의 점진적 단순화

In feature-based simplification, it is important to control the level of detail (LOD) of a CAD model. The LOD in feature-based simplification is affected by the number of features, because the previous methods for feature-based simplification used features as a minimum unit of simplification. It is, therefore, difficult to control the LOD of a CAD model if the model consists of a small number of features or only additive features, or the model contains features with complex shapes. To solve this problem, we propose the unit feature simplification, wherein a feature is progressively simplified. In addition, the implementation and experiment results are presented.

For engineering activities such as engineering analysis, distributed collaborative design, and virtual prototyping, it is needed to simplify detailed CAD models. Among the proposed methods so far, it is known that feature-based simplification is the most suitable method to apply to these applications. The previous feature-based simplification methods focused on the feature suppression and the feature rearrangement. In case that a feature has complicated shape or a CAD model has only additive features, it is difficult to obtain the proper simplified model because the previous methods perform the simplification by using a feature as a minimum unit. To resolve this problem, we propose an enhanced feature-based simplification method using unit feature simplification. This method simplifies a CAD model by simplifying unit features according to their type. This paper introduces the unit feature simplification method.
물옥잠을 이용한 수중처리방법에 의한 농공단지 폐수처리에 관한 연구

Floating aquatic plant system using water hyacinth was applied to examine feasibility as a wastewater treatment system for the industrial complex in rural area. The wastewater from the industrial complex does not likely contain toxic pollutants because the industries which generate wastewater with toxic compounds are not allowed to move in. Pilot plant was installed at Baeksuk Nongkong Danzi in Chunahn-City, Chunchungnam-Do, and field study was performed during summer and fall of 1996. Hydraulic loading rate was 0.19m<sup>3</sup>/m<sup>2</sup> ·day. The effluent concentration of DO was higher than influent, and it implies that 0.6m depth reactor was reaerated enough to increase DO level. The influent concentration of BOD varied significantly from less than 30 to 120mg/ ℓ during the study period, however, effluent concentrations were generally lower than the water quality standard and removal efficiency was up to 85 %. The influent concentration of COD also showed wide variation from less than 40 to 160mg/ ℓ, and effluent concentration was higher than water quality standard when influent concentration was over 100mg/ ℓ. The influent concentrations of T -Nand T - P were lower than water quality standard and no further treatment was required, and these compounds were also removed in the system. Although some improvement and refinement are still required, overall, the floating aquatic plant system was proved to be feasible to apply to treat wastewater from industrial complex in rural area.
