A three-dimensional surface is reconstructed from contour information as identified on two-dimensional computed tomographic slices. Gradient operator with curvature constraint would be applied to extract the contour automatically, and backtracking is also adopted to reduce the tracking error. The surface between the consecutive slice is efficiently reconstructed using a triangular surface tiles. Hidden surface elimination, shading and parallel projection of the reconstructed surface are provied on the display screen.

In this paper, we propose a simple and relative electrode contact monitoring method. By exploiting the power line interference, which is regarded as one of the worst noise sources for bio-potential measurement, the relative difference in electrode impedance can be measured without a current or voltage source. Substantial benefits, including no extra circuit components, no degradation of the body potential driving circuit, and no electrical safety problem, can be achieved using this method. Furthermore, this method can be applied to multi-channel isolated bio-potential measurement systems and home health care devices under a steady measuring environment.

Image Guided Surgery (IGS) system which has variously tried in medical engineering fields is able to give a surgeon objective information of operation process like decision making and surgical planning. This information is displayed through 3D images which are acquired from image modalities like CT and MRI for pre-operation. The technique of image registration is necessary to construct IGS system. Image registration means that 3D model and the object operated by a surgeon are matched on the common frame. Major techniques of registration in IGS system have been used by recognizing fiducial markers placed on the object. However, this method has been criticized due to additional trauma, its invasive protocol inserting fiducial markers in patient's bone and generating noise data when 2D slice images are acquired by image modality because many markers are made of metal. Therefore, this paper developed shape-based registration technique to improve the limitation of fiducial marker based IGS system. Iterative Closest Points (ICP) algorithm was used to match corresponding points and quaternion based rotation and translation transformation using closed form solution applied to find the optimized cost function of transformation. we assumed that this algorithm were used in Total Knee replacement (TKR) operation. Accordingly, we have developed region-based 3D registration technique based on anatomical landmarks and this registration algorithm was evaluated in a femur model. It was found that region-based algorithm can improve the accuracy in 3D registration.
가속도 센서를 이용한 걸음수 검출 및 실시간 모니터링 시스템

본 연구에서는 가속도 센서를 이용하여 보행패턴을 검출하고 가속도 센서를 출력 값을 무선으로 PC에 실시간으로 전달할 수 있는 휴대용 모듈을 개발하였다. PC에서는 휴대장치로부터 전송되는 데이터를 수집하여 운동패턴을 화면에 실시간으로 출력할 수 있게 하였다. 휴대 장치의 전력 소모를 최대한 줄이기 위해 무선 전송 부분은 zigbee 통신을 사용하였다. 착용자의 걸음걸이 패턴을 분석하기 위해 2축 가속도 센서를 사용하였으며 기본적인 보행수는 임계치를 사용하는 moving average 알고리즘을 이용하여 마이크로 콘트롤러에서 처리하였다.

의료기기와 IT융합기술의 접목으로 인해 언제 어디서나 건강에 대한 측정을 가능하게 하였다. 또한, 최근에는 다양한 형태의 유헬스 의료기기가 개발되어 일상생활과 가정에서 자연스러우며 편리한 건강변수 측정이 가능하며, 디바이스의 보급과 더불어 이를 응용한 유헬스 디바이스에 대한 연구 및 개발이 우선되고 있는 현재, 이에 대한 안전성 확보 및 성능평가 기준 마련은 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 따라 시판전의 시험검사나 시판후의 수거 검사시에 안전성 및 성능평가를 위한 표준시험방법 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 유헬스 디바이스에 대한 전기적 안전성 평가를 위한 필수시험 및 성능평가를 위한 표준시험방법을 연구하였다. The combination of medical devices and IT convergence technology has made it possible to check health whenever and wherever people want. The recent development of various Ubiqutous Healthcare medical devices ensures the convenient measurements of health variations in daily lives and at home. However, considering that there is a growing prevalence of the devices and a great interest in the development of Ubiqutous Healthcare device, it is urgent to secure the stability and to establish performance evaluation. Therefore, it is needed to develop standard testing methods for the stability and the performance evaluation on before and after selling products. In this paper, I studied the standard testing method of both compulsory tests and performance evaluation which are for the electric stability evaluation on Ubiqutous Healthcare devices.
