Zonal differences in the deformation characteristics of the cartilage chondron

Chondrocytes in articular cartilage are surrounded by a narrow pericellular matrix (PCM), which together with the enclosed cell(s) are termed the 밹hondron? Although the precise function of this tissue region is unknown, previous studies provide indirect evidence that the PCM plays an important role in governing the local mechanical environment of chondrocytes. The goal of this study was to quantify the zonal differences in the strain and Poisson뭩 ratio of the chondron in situ under compression, using immunolabeling of type VI collagen coupled with fluorescence confocal microscopy. Up to 30% tissue strain, most compressions were found to be concentrated at the superficial and middle zones which are relatively soft. Apparent Poisson's ratio of the PCM and cell was about 0.1 in the superficial and middle zone and 0.5 in the deep zone. The zonal variations in the mechanical response of the PCM and cell do not appear to be due to zonal differences in PCM and cell properties, but rather seem to result from significant inhomogeneities in extra-cellular matrix (ECM) properties, which result in different relative stiffnesses of the ECM and PCM with depth. These findings suggest that the PCM plays an important biomechanical role in cartilage by regulating the local stress-strain and fluid flow environments of the chondrocyte in a zone-dependent manner.
Human-Following Robot using Tether Steering

A new human-following robot with a tether steering mechanism is proposed that could be useful in the case of carrying luggage or as a jogging companion. In a crowded or cluttered environment, tether steering has certain advantages over non-contact methods using a camera, laser range finder, or ultrasonic transponder. The proposed robot has a modular architecture that consists of a steering module and two driving modules that communicate with each other using Zigbee wireless communication technology. In addition, motion control algorithms are introduced to provide effortless maneuverability when using the tether steering. A human adaptive algorithm is proposed that estimates the user’s walking velocity to allow the robot to keep pace, while an environment adaptive algorithm performs semi-autonomous navigation to avoid collision with corner shaped obstacles. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed humanfollowing robot.

Along with the enlargement of WTO, issues about standardization activity are more and more become concerning object worldwide. Countries launch the work that putting the standardization in order, such as re-establishing their standardization strategy. With the chance of entering WTO, China is promoting the rebuilding of standardization system in order to conform to international standardization system. Thus, in this paper, research make it clear that the variation of circumstance of standardization activity, the importance of the standardization activity, and the international movement, in the meantime, it surveyed the development course of standardization activity and it''s present operating system. By this means, it concludes the problems of present operating system and implies the improving scheme. Further more, this paper implies Chinese characteristic standardization system which conform with WTO/TBT and international standardization system. Firstly, through the comprehensive analysis on standardization system, it figures out the main function of relevant organizations in each working stage. Secondly, this paper makes a system model composed of possible three stage, and setup items needs promotion and main target in each stage. Finally, this paper point out the development direction of standardization system, it also implies it''s limitation and the later possible research topic in this field.

Firstly, this research make it clear that the importance of conformity assessment activity, and the international movement of conformity assessment activity. Secondly, this paper surveyed the development course of conformity assessment activity and it"s present operating system in China. Finally, this paper concludes the problems of present conformity assessment activity and implies the improving scheme. In the meantime, it also point out the later possible research topic in this field.

본 연구에서는 적충 구조를 이용하여 누설전류를 저감 시키는 기술을 적용하여 입자침전법을 이용한 방사선 영상 센서의 변환 물질을 개발하였다. 이는 디지털 방사선 영상 검출기의 두 가지 방식 중 하나인 직접방식에 사용되는 핵심 소자로 기존의 비정질셀레늄(a-Se)을 대체하여 더욱 효율이 높은 후보 물질들이 연구되어지는 가운데 태양전지와 반도체 분야에서 이미 많이 사용되어온 이종접합을 이용해 누설 전류를 저감 시키는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 사용되는 입자 침전법 제조방법은 검출 물질 제작이 용이하고 높은 수율과 대면적의 검출기 제작에 적합하나 높은 누설 전류가 의료 영상에 있어서 문제가 되어 오고 있다. 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 적충 구조를 이용하여 누설 전류를 저감시킨다면 PIB법을 이용하여 간편하게 향상된 효율의 디지털 방사선 검출기를 제작 할 수 있다고 사료 되어 진다. 본 연구에서는 누설 전류와 민감도에 대한 전기적 신호를 측정하여 제작된 적충 구조의 방사선 검출 물질의 특성 평가가 이루어 졌다. In this study, the basic research verifying possibility of applications as radiology image sensor in Digital Radiography was performed, the radiology image sensor was fabricated using double layer technique tio decrease dark current. High efficiency material in substitution for a-Se have been studied as a direct method of imaging detector in Digital Radiography to decrease dark current by using Hetero junction already used as solar cell, semiconductor. Particle-In-Binder method is used to fabricate radiology image sensor because it has a lot of advantages such as fabrication convenient, high yield, suitability for large area sensor. But high leakage current is one of main problem in PIB method. To make up for the weak points, double layer technique is used, and it is considered that high efficient digital radiation sensor can be fabricated with easy and convenient process. In this study, electrical properties such as leakage current, sensitivity is measured to evaluate double layer radiation sensor material.
