        방위사업 연구에서의 퍼지셋 질적비교분석(fsQCA) 활용

        국가의 안보와 직결되는 방위사업은 매년 많은 예산이 투입되는 중요한 분야이기에 이론 개발, 실증 분석과 같은 연구는 지속적으로 이뤄져야 한다. 하지만 지금까지의 방위사업 연구는 질적 접근법과 양적 접근법 모두에 있어서 데이터 획득의 한 계로 인해 원활히 수행되지 못했다. 본고는 이에 대한 대안으로 퍼지셋 질적비교분석(fsQCA)의 사용을 제안한다. 이는 중간 범위의 사례만으로도 다양한 인과 조건을 파악할 수 있는 유망한 연구 방법론이다. 본고는 fsQCA의 주요 개념, 분석 절차, 적용 사례들을 제시했으며, 이와 같은 논의는 향후 방위사업 연구에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 본다. Defense acquisition business sectors require a huge investment which mainly counts on taxpayers. Due to its importance in national security matters and economic impact, research efforts on developing theories, investigating incidents empirically, and creating suitable policies should be kept timely and seamlessly. However, we have witnessed that there are limitations in acquiring data for both qualitative and quantitative approaches. In this study, we propose the use of one of promising alternatives in defense acquisition studies: fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis, known for fsQCA in short. This mid-range methodology can identify various conjugation of causal conditions with multiple cases. In the paper, we present key concepts of fsQCA, and discuss two exemplar studies vis-à-vis defense acquisition businesses. We expect that fsQCA can encourage defense acquisition scholars.

        The Adenylyl Cyclase Encoded by rutabaga Is Required for Larval Molting in Drosophila

        Hormonal control of insect growth and metamorphosis by neuroendocrine system is well established, yet the cellular mechanism underlying the synthesis and release of insect hormones is not clearly understood. Here we report that a novel enhancer detection line, rutlethal-1096, failed to molt from second to third instar larvae, thus showing a lethal phenotype. Molecular cloning indicated that the enhancer detector was inserted in the proximal promoter region of the rut-encoded adenylyl cyclase (AC) gene. Similarly, the known rut alleles, rut1 and rut1084, were also found to be affected mildly in their larval and pupal development. The enriched expression of the reporter gene lacZ was detected in the ring gland that is an insect larval glandular organ secreting various hormones involved in ecdysis. Taken together, our data suggest the rut-encoded AC plays a vital role in larval molting, probably by regulating the function of ring glands.         Peripheral Neuropathy and Decreased Locomotion of a RAB40B Mutation in Human and Model Animals

        Rab40 proteins are an atypical subgroup of Rab GTPases containing a unique suppressor of the cytokine signaling (SOCS) domain that is recruitedto assemble the CRL5 E3 ligase complex for proteolytic regulation in various biological processes. A nonsense mutation deleting the C-terminalSOCS box in the RAB40B gene was identified in a family with axonal peripheral neuropathy (Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2), and pathogenicityof the mutation was assessed in model organisms of zebrafish and Drosophila . Compared to control fish, zebrafish larvae transformed by thehuman mutant hRAB40B-Y83X showed a defective swimming pattern of stalling with restricted localization and slower motility. We were consistentlyable to observe reduced labeling of synaptic markers along neuromuscular junctions of the transformed larvae. In addition to the neurodevelopmentalphenotypes, compared to normal hRAB40B expression, we further examined ectopic expression of hRAB40B-Y83X in Drosophila toshow a progressive decline of locomotion ability. Decreased ability of locomotion by ubiquitous expression of the human mutation was reproducednot with GAL4 drivers for neuron-specific expression but only when a pan-glial GAL4 driver was applied. Using the ectopic expression model ofDrosophila , we identified a genetic interaction in which Cul5 down regulation exacerbated the defective motor performance, showing a consistentloss of SOCS box of the pathogenic RAB40B. Taken together, we could assess the possible gain-of-function of the human RAB40B mutation bycomparing behavioral phenotypes in animal models; our results suggest that the mutant phenotypes may be associated with CRL5-mediated proteolyticregulation.

        방산 원자재 공급 사슬 위험 평가 : 국내 방위산업 사례연구 (2011∼2020)

        Purpose : As the increasing uncertainty of global supply chain by the occurrence of US-China trade war, COVID-19 risk, and Russian invasion of Ukraine, the supply chain risk can threaten national security. The objective of this study is to investigate both risk level and relevant factors and suggest future strategies of sustainable supply chain management in Korean defense industry. Research design, data, methodology : The methodological approach of our study combines literature review for identifying supply chain risk factors related to a defense industry and the risk assessment analysis. Based on supply chain risk indicators (import diversification, country risk, and political distance), we evaluate the risk level of raw materials supply chain in Korean defense industry. For this, the present study collected defense raw materials importation data from Trade Statistics Service (TRASS). Results : The results of this study show that we found the following raw materials with high risk levels: Cotton linters pulp (HS 470610), Other instruments and appliances (HS 901480), Pumps (HS 841381), Instruments and appliances for aeronautical or space navigation (HS 901420), Other Screws, bolts, nuts, coach screws, screw hooks, rivets, cotters, cotter-pins, washers (including spring washers) and similar articles, of iron or steel (HS 731829), Aeroplanes and other aircraft, of an unladen weight not exceeding 2,000 kg (HS 880220). Conclusions : The possibility of supply chain vulnerability is more intense when import dependent on a particular exporting country about defense raw materials is high. In this sense, our study is the quantitative study that focus on evaluating the supply chain risk in the defense industry. Thus, the study raises a new need for risk management through assessing risks on raw materials in defense supply structures. 최근 미ㆍ중 분쟁, 코로나19 위기, 러시아의 우크라이나 침공 등의 사건 발생으로 전세계적인공급망 불확실성이 고조되면서 공급망 취약성이 커지고 있다. 이런 공급망 환경변화에서 국내방위산업은 무기체계 개발에 필요한 핵심부품과 원자재를 해외 수입에 의존하고 있어 공급위험이 국가안보를 위협하는 요인으로 작용할 수 있다. 그래서 본 연구는 방위산업에서 공급사슬 위험요소를 분석하여 공급망 관리의 중요성을 제기하고, 전략적 위기 대응이 필요한 접근방법을 제안하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 문헌고찰을 통해 방위산업의공급 사슬 위험과 관련된 3가지 주요 지표(시장 집중도, 국가 위험도, 정치적 관계)를 식별하였다. 그리고 해당 지표를 통합한 평가지표를 국내 방위산업용 시설재 및 원자재(이하 방산 원자재)의 최근 10년(2011~2020) 간 국가별 수입현황에 적용하여 공급 사슬 위험도에 취약한 주요품목을 분석하였다. 구체적으로 방산 분야에서 화약을 만드는 원료로 사용 HS 470610(면 린터펄프)은 저위기술 품목으로 가격경쟁력 확보가 어려워 중국에 대한 시장 집중도가 100% 수준으로 공급 사슬 위험도가 높은 원자재이다. 그 외에 첨단정밀 제조기술이 요구되는 공구ㆍ부품인 HS 901480(기타 항행용 기기), HS 841381(펌프), HS 901420(항공용이나 우주항행용기기), HS 731829(기타 스크루·볼트·너트·코치스크루·스크루훅·리벳·코터·코터핀·와셔 물품), HS 880220(자체 중량이 2,000킬로그램 이하인 비행기와 그 밖의 항공기) 원자재가 대미 의존도가높게 나타났다. 해당 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 한국 방위산업의 공급 사슬 위험 대책 마련의필요성을 제기하고, 향후 방산 원자재의 공급망 구조 안정성 확보를 위한 정책적 개선방안을 제시하였다.

        세계 무기·총포탄 시장의 무역 네트워크 분석

        Purpose Arms and ammunition manufacturing, which plays an key role in defense security and economic development, has been heavily dependent on export performance due to the limited domestic market. The purpose of this study is to analyze the global trade network of the arms & ammunition market using the degree centrality index and visualization. Design/Methodology/Approach We used the data of 2020 international arms & ammunition trade statistics and network analysis methods. Findings The results showed that the US, EU, and Middle Eastern countries have great influence in the global arms & ammunition market. Such a result suggests that Korean arms & ammunition manufacturers need to expand into foreign markets such as the USA, Qatar, the UAE, Australia, Thailand, and India, which have higher in-centrality indices. Research Implications This study explored the degree of centrality and position of Korea in the global weapon & ammunition trade network. As a practical implication, Korean arms & ammunition manufacturers need differentiated trade strategies, such as strengthening defense cooperation and export offset

        경영안정성, 국산화 그리고 세계화에 대한 무기체계별 통시적 고찰

        본 연구의 목적은 방위사업의 중요성이 점차 증가하는 상황 속에서 시대 변화에 따른 한국의 무기체계별 방위사업을 유형화하고, 유형별 특징을 탐색함으로써, 정책적 함의를 도출하는 것이다. 이를 위해 선행연구를 종합하여 방위사업의 주요 속성을 경영안정성, 국산화, 세계화로 정의하고, 2013년부터 2019년까지 화력, 탄약, 기동, 함정, 항공 등 5개 무기체계를 연구대상으로 하여 퍼지셋 이상형 분석을 시도하였다. 분석결과, 한국의 무기체계별 방위사업은 총 7가지 유형에 고루 분포하는 것으로 드러났으며, 무기체계별 방위사업의 속성의 변화와 강도가 동시에 파악되었다. 이를 토대로 본 연구는 다음과 같은 시사점을 제시한다. 첫째, 화력ㆍ탄약ㆍ기동 부문의 방위사업은 국내조달과 수출이 원활히 이뤄지고 있는 것으로 평가된다. 둘째, 경영안정성이 열악한 함정 및 항공 부문의 경우, 최소생산물량배정, 공동계약 방식, 개발 및 생산기간 보장 등이 필요하다. 셋째, 점차 강화되는 기술 패권주의를 감안한다면, 첨단기술에 대한 국내 연구개발이 확대되어야 할 것이며, 이를 위해 한국산 우선획득 제도의 원활한 정착이 이뤄져야 한다. In this study, identifying characteristics of defense acquisition by weapon sector in Korea is focused. Traditional approaches to understand the trend of investment in defense acquisition have been selected arbitrarily without considering longitudinal and substantive evidences. Five weapon system sectors including fire power, ammunition, mobility, naval ship and aircraft, were considered to provide the higher levels of theoretical category in defense acquisition. From literature review, management stability, localization and globalization were derived as key concepts that were used to conduct a fuzz-set ideal type analysis. Empirical data from 2013 to 2019 were analyzed to reveal seven ideal types. Based on the findings, insights on defense acquisition were documented.

      • 굴삭기 HILS 모델 검증을 위한 다물체 동역학 모델 개발

        HILS (Hardware-in-the-Loop-Simulation) is a technology used for developing and testing complex real-time systems. For developing the Excavator HILS model, it is required for verification of mechanical excavator and real time computation. For verifying the excavator HILS model, it is necessary to measure the actual vehicle in various working conditions and there are limitations in terms of time and cost to perform these various tests. In order to replace these tests, an excavator dynamics model was developed and compared with actual vehicle test. Through development of a multi-body dynamics model, it was developed to be able to verify the HILS model instead of the actual vehicle test. This paper has been described about the development and verification of the mechanical system about excavator, co-simulation with hydraulic circuit is proceeding to the next step.

        지오펜스와 하이브리드 비콘을 이용한 입원환자 출입관리시스템은 모바일 앱, 관리자는 웹 화면을 이용해 입원 환자들의 병원 출입을 관리하는 시스템이다. 기존의 외출 시스템은 환자가 외출 신청서를 수기로 작성하고 주치의의 허락 하에 외출하는 형태이지만, 신청서 작성 과정을 거치지 않고 무단으로 외출하는 환자의 경우 외출 시점이나 현재 위치 등을 파악하기 어려운 문제가 있다. 무단 외출 환자를 즉각적으로 파악하지 못하는 경우 해당 환자들이 음주 또는 귀원하지 않는 등의 사고의 원인이 되는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 지오펜스와 하이브리드 비콘을 이용해 환자들의 병원 출입 유무의 정확성을 높이고 무단 외출 환자를 즉각적으로 파악하는 방안을 제시한다.

        LC-MS/MS를 이용한 소의 식용조직 중 세팔렉신의 잔류검사법

        An analytical method for the determination of cephalexin (CEX) in bovine tissues (muscle, liver, kidney and fat tissues) was developed and validated using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). Tissue samples were extracted by the liquid-liquid extraction based on 5% trichloroacetic acid (TCA). The chromatographic separation was achieved on a reverse phase C18 column with gradient elution using a mobile phase of 20 mM hexafluroacetylacetone (HFAC)/50% acetonitrile (40:60). The procedure was validated according to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety guideline determining accuracy, precision, and limit of detection. Mean recoveries of CEX from spiked edible tissues (6~1,500 μg/kg) were 83.9~106.8%, and the relative standard deviation was between 2.3 and 14.8%. Linearities were obtained with the correlation coefficient (r2) of > 0.999. Limit of detection and limit of quantification for the investigated CEX were 2~10 and 6~30 μg/kg, respectively. This method was reliable, sensitive, economical and suitable for routine monitoring of CEX residues in bovine edible tissues.
