The Boroo area in Mongolia is known to have been contaminated with heavy metals due to irregular gold mining activities and the release of mercury from gold extraction process. Soil and mine tailings were collected to analyze contamination patterns of heavy metals in the Boroo area. Analyses revealed that mercury, arsenic and cadmium concentrations exceeded the regulatory standard of the nation (Mongolia National Standard). In case of mercury, about 80% of the survey area was over the limit and the concentration distribution heavily influenced by influx of mercury through water transport. Soil contamination by arsenic was most severe that the concentration exceeded the regulatory limit in almost entire survey area, showing peak concentrations at nearby streams and river along with ore processing facilities. For cadmium, about 20% of the survey area was over the limit with the concentration distribution similar to that of arsenic.
소비자 조사와 착의 실험을 통한 온도감응형 기능성 의류개발을 위한 기초연구

In this research, consumer awareness investigation and wearing test were carried out for obtaining useful data on the development of thermo-sensitive functional clothing material. A survey involved 216 people in Seoul and Kyeonggi- do, and 200 questionnaires data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and frequency using SPSS 17.0. Four healthy men in twenties were participated for wearing test. Subjects in normal loungewear were exposed to temperature change from the initial temperature 30oC down to 5oC for an hour in a climate chamber. The environmental temperature, surface temperature of garment and skin were measured. As a result, most of respondents have all season clothing products such as underwear, hosiery, and jogging suit for loungewear. Also, thermo regulator y functional clothes are frequently used as underwear and sweat shirt. The consumer awareness investigation on thermo regulatory functional clothing showed that the most important key buying factor is quick climate temperature response, easy maintenance, design and cost, in that order. Surface temperature of garment went down with the cooling down of environmental temperature. The lower environmental temperature, the greater temperature difference by body part showed. Skin temperature change by environmental temperature showed similar tendency of garment surface temperature. In comparison between garment surface and body skin, temperature difference became larger under the lower environmental temperature.
단순 연화층 모델을 적용한 석탄 성상별 Coke Oven 내의 가스압 특성

A simplified model of plastic layer and internal gas pressure in a coke oven is presented. We calculate internal gas pressure using presented model. And results are compared with calculated results using experimental data. Results show the difference of internal gas pressure by coal composition. The model is used to show that the permeability at the resolidification end of the plastic layer is a key determinant of the magnitude of the internal gas pressure.

로켓 추진기관 시스템의 성능을 입증하기 위한 시험설비는 로켓시스템의 개발을 위한 필수 인프라이다. PSTC는 발사체의 각 단별 추진기관 시스템의 수류시험 및 연소시험을 수행하고, 발사 프로세스에 대한 지상검증을 수행한다. PSTC 개발을 위해 국내외 기술을 조사하여, 관련분야의 사례를 적극 활용한다. 추진기관 시험설비는 유공압 시설 및 제어계측, Test Stand, 화염유도로 등을 구성한다. The test facility for confirming performance of a propulsion system is essential infra-structure to develop launch vehicle system. Using the PSTC, cold flow and combustion tests are performed to the propulsion system of individual stage in launcher. Moreover the ground test for the total launching process is conducted. In order to construct the PSTC, we not only have surveyed technology of internal and external countries, but also actively use the case in terms of the system. The test facility consists of feeding system, test stand, control and measurement, and flame deflector.
Wi-SUN 표준의 워킹 그룹 별 연구 주제 및 표준화 동향

제한적인 배터리 용량으로 동작하는 사물인터넷(IoT) 기기들을 위한 에너지 효율적인 프로토콜들이 연구, 표준화되고 있다. 특히 저전력으로 넓은 영역을 커버하는 저전력 장거리 (LPWA : Low-Power Wide Area) 기술이 주목받고 있으며 그 중 Wi-SUN(Wireless Smart Utility Networks) 은 대표적인 저전력 장거리 프로토콜 표준이다. 본 논문에서는 Wi-SUN의 Working Group별 연구 주제와 표준화 동향에 대해서 알아본다.

Objective: This study was performed to detect indicator bacteria in drinking spring water samples in Gwangju City and to identify their genus using the VITEK-II system. Methods: The subjects were ten drinking spring water sites in Gwangju. Samples of spring water were taken every month from September 2019 to August 2020. We analyzed for the indicator bacteria Yersinia and microorganisms isolated from the spring water. Result: According to the research results on indicator bacteria, general bacteria in st1-st7 with sterilization facilities in the spring and summer were investigated in the range of 0-2 CFU/mL and 0-12 CFU/mL. In st9, where a sterilization facility was not installed, the most general bacteria were detected (160 CFU/mL). Total coliform and fecal coliform showed unsatisfied rates of 16.7 and 11.1% in spring and 14.7 and 11.8% in summer, respectively. The unsatisfied rates of total coliform for the designated and non-designated spring water facilities were 3.8 and 47.1%, respectively, and for the fecal coliform group they were 2.5 and 35.3%. The difference was confirmed according to the presence of a sterilization facility. Yersinia spp. was not detected in all drinking spring water. Forty-one strains in 25 species were isolated from ten sites. The results classified as major dominant species are Pseudomonas spp. 14.6%, Pantoea spp. 9.8%, Serratia spp. 9.8%, Acinetobacter spp. 9.8%, Citrobacter spp. 7.3%, Bordetella spp. 7.3%, Delftia spp. 4.9%, and Enterobacter spp. 4.9%. Conclusions: Based on the result that various species derived from fecal pollution and artificial pollutants were detected in the non-specified public spring water facilities that many people use, the facilities need institutional complements such as continuous management or complete shutdowns.
