        Prevalence and Management of Dyslipidemia in Korea:Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey during 1998 to 2010

        Background: Dyslipidemia is a major risk factor of cardiovascular disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the changing trends in the prevalence and management status of dyslipidemia among Korean adults. Methods: The prevalence of dyslipidemia and the rates of awareness, treatment, and control of dyslipidemia were investigated in adults aged ≥20 years from the Korea National Health and Nutrition Surveys (KNHANES) 1998 to 2010. The updated National Cholesterol Education Program criteria was used, which define dyslipidemia as having one or more of the following lipid abnormalities:hypercholesterolemia (total cholesterol ≥240 mg/dL or diagnosis of dyslipidemia or use of lipid-lowering drugs), hypertriglyceridemia (≥150 mg/dL), hyper-low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterolemia (≥160 mg/dL or diagnosis of dyslipidemia or use of lipid-lowering drugs), and hypo-high density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterolemia (<40 mg/dL in men and <50 mg/dL in women). Results: The number of participants was 6,921, 4,894, 5,312, 2,733, 6,295, 6,900, and 5,738 in KNHANES 1998, 2001, 2005, 2007,2008, 2009, and 2010, respectively. Age-standardized prevalence rates of dyslipidemia were 54.0%, 65.8%, 66.5%, 60.6%, 58.7%,58.9%, and 59.0% in 1998, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010, respectively. Hypertriglyceridemia and hypo-HDL-cholesterolemia were the two most frequent lipid abnormalities. The overall prevalence of hypercholesterolemia and hyper-LDL-cholesterolemia increased by 1.36- and 1.35-fold in 2010 compared with 2007, respectively. Awareness, treatment, and control rates of dyslipidemia improved over the period of surveys in both sexes. In 2010, about 30% of dyslipidemic patients who received lipidlowering treatment reached target levels. Conclusion: Although the management status of dyslipidemia has improved during recent years, effective strategy is required for achieving better prevention, treatment, and control of dyslipidemia.

        In this paper, Nonlinear Static Pushover analysis method(NSP) is proposed which apply to RC buildings reinforced by external retrofit fornseismic performance. Based on previous analysis and research, NSP is more developed by connection nonlinearity according to shearnresistance mechanism such as dowel and adhesive resistance as major shear resistance elements. According to the proposed method,nstructural analysis for example buildings was carried out to evaluate seismic performance of buildings. And, it was confirmed thatndepending on shear strain and characteristics of joint resistant of external retrofitting are different from internal retrofitting. Furthermore,nthe strength reduction coefficient of the anchor needs to be considered at the joint design.

        재료의 비선형성을 고려한 터널의 내진성능평가에 관한 연구

        Various numerical analysis models can be used to evaluate the behavior characteristics of tunnel facilities which are representative underground structures. In general, the Mohr-Coulomb model, which is most often used for numerical analysis, is an elastic-perfect plastic behavior model. And the deformation characteristics are the same during the load increase-load reduction phase. So there is a problem that the displacement may appear different from the field situation in the case of excavation analysis. In contrast, the HS-small strain stability model has a wide range of applications for each ground. And it is known that soil deformation characteristics can be analyzed according to field conditions by enabling input of initial elastic modulus and nonlinear curve parameter and so on. However, civil engineers are having difficulty using nonlinear models that can apply material nonlinear properties due to difficulties in estimating ground property coefficients. In this study, the necessity of rational model selection was reviewed by comparing the results of seismic performance evaluation using the Mohr-Coulomb model, which civil engineers generally apply for numerical analysis of tunnels, and the HS Small strain Stiffness model, which can consider ground nonlinearity. 대표적인 지중구조물인 터널시설물의 거동 특성을 평가하기 위해 다양한 수치해석 모델을 활용할 수 있다. 일반적으로 수치해석시 가장 많이 사용한 Mohr-Coulomb 모델은 탄성-완전소성 거동 모델로 하중증가-하중감소 단계시 변형 특성이 동일하여, 굴착해석의 경우 변위가 현장 상황과 다르게 나타날 수 있는 문제점이 있다. 그에 비해 HS-small Strain Stiffness 모델은 지반별 적용 범위가 넓으며, 초기탄성계수 및 비선형곡선 파라미터 하중증가-하중감소 단계의 탄성계수 등을 입력 가능하게 하여 흙의 변형 특성이 현장 조건에 맞게 해석 가능하다고 알려져 있다. 하지만 토목 기술자들은 지반의 특성 계수 추정의 어려움으로 인해 재료 비선형 특성을 적용 가능한 모델의 사용에 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 토목 기술자들이 터널 수치해석시 일반적으로 적용하는 Mohr-Coulomb 모델과 지반 비선형성을 고려 가능한 HS Small strain Stiffness 모델을 적용한 내진성능평가 결과 값을 비교하여 합리적인 모델 선택의 필요성을 검토하였다.

        운용중인 국내 지하철 TBM터널의 세그먼트라이닝 결함특성 분석

        The precise inspection for safety and diagnosis (PISD) of tunnel has been conducted by the special act on safety control of public structures. However, the present assessment for the segmental lining of TBM tunnel has limitation such as: NDTs for integrity, segmental configuration for field inspection, and consideration for jacking system. Even if the number of TBM tunnel is less than 1% of enrolled facility in FMS, more attention to maintenance should be necessary due to its usage such as multi-use facility and national important facility. Compared to NATM tunnel, excavated by drilling and blasting and then installed lining by cast-in-place within 6~12 m, TBM tunnel is cut out ground by disk and cutter-bit and then assembled 7 pieces of precast segment, 1.2~1.4 m wide. Different features of design, construction, and maintenance should be considered to be more exact evaluation of TBM tunnel. The characteristics of defect is categorized and analyzed with 11 operational TBM tunnels in domestic subway. To be more comprehend various particular defects, foreign studies have been also adapted. Crack and leakage are categorized in 7 patterns. Breakage/spalling and corrosion are also grouped into 3 patterns. Patterned defects or damages are fed back in design, construction, and are useful guidelines for maintenance stage in future. 시설물안전법에 의한 터널의 정밀안전진단은 세부지침에 의거하여 수행되나, 현재의 TBM터널 세그먼트라이닝 평가체계에는 유압잭 사용의 장비특성, 세그먼트를 고려한 외관조사, 건전도를 위한 비파괴 시험방법 등의 결함특성을 반영하지 못하는 한계를 지닌다. 시설물정보관리시스템에 등재된 TBM터널은 1% 미만이지만 다중이용시설 및 국가 중요시설의 사용을 감안하여 많은 유지관리가 필요하다. 발파로 굴착하며 터널 축을 따라 6~12 m의 라이닝을 연속하여 현장 타설하는 NATM터널과 비교하여 TBM터널은 디스크커터와 커터비트가 달린 원형의 회전판을 회전하여 굴진하며 공장 제작된 폭 1.2~1.4 m 세그먼트를 조립하여 구조체를 형성한다. TBM터널에 대한 정확한 평가를 위해서는 설계, 시공, 운용단계의 특징이 고려되어야 한다. 11개 구간에서 운용중인 국내 지하철 TBM터널의 결함특성을 유형별로 분석하였으며 TBM터널 세그먼트라이닝의 공통된 결함 특성 이외에 특수한 결함에 대해서는 해외 논문 연구내용을 발췌하여 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 균열과 누수는 위치 및 형상에 따라 7가지 유형으로 구분하였으며, 박락 및 파손과 부식에 대해서는 3가지 유형으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 향후 설계, 시공의 피드백과 유지관리에 도움이 되고자 한다.

        터널 배수 형식에 따른 응력-침투 연계 내진해석

        Built in urban ares tunnels is necessary to accurately grasp not only the above-ground environment of the tunnel but also the below-ground environment of the tunnel for design and construct. However, fully coupled analysis of stress and flow is very difficult due to the limited function of the tunnel numerical analysis program and difficulty in using program. This can lead to excessive design that increases the construction cost or occur problems that can lead to accidents during construction. In particular, in the case of an urban tunnel has a low layer soil section above the tunnel and the groundwater level exists in the upper layer of the tunnel. Therefore, a reduction in the groundwater level during underground construction may increase the effective stress of the upper layer and cause the ground to subsidence. So It is necessary to design after accurately evaluating the change in the groundwater level. In this study, the tunnel's behavioral characteristics were analyzed through fully coupled analysis of stress and flow according to the drainage type for an urban underground tunnel.

        도로터널에서 MMS를 이용한 정밀안전진단 적용 사례

        향상된 MMS (Mobile Mapping System)를 이용하여 도로터널 정밀안전진단 항목을 검토하고 분석하였다. MMS에 의한 적용 가능한 항목은 외관조사, 조사 및 비파괴시험, 구조안전성, 유지관리방안일 것이다. MMS의 차량속도가 너무 빠르면 점군데이터의 해상도가 낮아지고 너무 느리면 보정값 오차가 증가하는 경향을 보인다. 본 연구에 적용된 장비에서는 50 km/h 속도에서 측정이 효과적이다. MMS의 점군 자료에 근거한 균열폭을 판단하기에는 한계가 있으나 터널내 설비 현황과 방재관리기준과 부합되는지를 검토할 수 있다. MMS의 3차원 점군은 횡단면 측량의 검토 및 종단면 측량의 변화에 적용될 수 있는데 이는 터널 전체에 대해 차량 한계를 직관적으로 검토할 수 있을 것이다. 시험 개수와 조사 위치를 무작위로 선정하는 현재 정밀안전진단의 측정과 비교하여 MMS의 연속된 환경조건 측정은 정밀도 높은 분석에서 효과적이며 의미가 있을 것이다. Items of road tunnel PISD (Precise Inspection for Safety and Diagnosis) were reviewed and analyzed using newly enhanced MMS (Mobile Mapping System) technology. Possible items with MMS can be visual inspection, survey and non-destructive test, structural analysis, and maintenance plan. The resolution of 3D point cloud decreased when the vehicle speed of MMS is too fast while the calibration error increased when it is too slow. The speed measurement of 50 km/h is determined to be effective in this study. Although image resolution by MMS has a limit to evaluating the width of crack with high precision, it can be used as data to identify the status of facilities in the tunnel and determine whether they meet disaster prevention management code of tunnel. 3D point cloud with MMS can be applicable for matching of cross-section and also possible for the variation of longitudinal survey, which can intuitively check vehicle clearance throughout the road tunnel. Compared with the measurement of current PISD, number of test and location of survey is randomly sampled, the continuous measurement with MMS for environment condition can be effective and meaningful for precise estimation in various analysis.
