본 논문에서는 우편물 자동처리론 위한 우편영상 인식 시스템을 소개한다. 우편영상 인식 시스템은 서장 우편물을 집배원이 배달하는 순서에 따라 자동으로 구분할 수 있도록 우편영상을 입력으로 받아 수신인 주소를 출력하는 인식 시스템을 말한다. 이 시스템은 수신인 주소영역 추출, 문자열 분리, 문자분할, 문자인식, 그리고 주소해석 모듈로 구성되어 있다. 주소영역 추출을 위해서는 우편물 주소 기입 위치에 대한 경험적 지식을 이용하였으며, 문자열 분리와 문자분한을 위해서는 연결요소 분석과 수직런 분석을 이용하였다. 문자인식에는 신경망 기반 인식기를 이용하였으며, 주소해석을 위해서는 동적 프로그래밍 기법을 적용하였다. 각 모듈은 독립적으로 구현되었기 때문에 인식 시스템의 성능 개선을 위한 모듈별 최적화가 용이하다는 장점이 있다. 실험에는 대전 유성우체국의 우편물 구분기를 이용하여 실제 우편물에서 수집한 인쇄 우편영상과 필기 우편영상을 이용하였으며, 비교적 우수한 인식 결과를 얻었다. In this paper, we describe an address image recognition system for automatic processing of standard- size letter mail. The inputs to the system are gray-level mail piece images and the outputs are delivery point codes with which a delivery sequence of carrier can be generated. The system includes five main modules; destination address block location, text line separation, character segmentation, character recognition and finally address interpretation. The destination address block is extracted on the basis of experimental knowledge and the line separation and character segmentation is done through the analysis of connected components and vortical runs. For recognizing characters, we developed MLP-based recognizers and dynamical programming technique for interpretation. Since each module has been implemented in an independent way, the system has a benefit that the optimization of each module is relatively easy. We have done the experiment with live mail piece images directly sampled from mail sorting machine in Yuseong post office. The experimental results prove the feasibility of our system.

Mononeuritis multiplex is characterized by multifocal and random lesions of peripheral nerves and associated with systemic vasculitis such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, polyarteritis nodosa. Sjogren syndrome, temporal arteritis, leprosy, amyloidosis. Mononeuritis multiplex was distributed bilaterally throughout the body. The early diagnosis and the aggressive treatment should be required in view of the significant mortality. We experienced a case of vasculitis of rheumatoid arthritis complicated by mononeuritis multiplex. We could make a diagnosis based on the biopsy of the peroneal muscle and the sural nerve. Pathologic findings showed vasculitic change of muscle and vasa nervorum. Electrodiagnostic abnormalities were very similar to those seen in mononeuritis multiplex. This patient was treated with prednisolone plus cyclophosphamide. He showed clinical improvement and was discharged. We presents this case with a review of the literature.
콜라겐으로 경구 관용을 유도한 관절염 동물 모델의 세포 특이적 면역 반응 조사

Oral administration of antigen has long been considered as a promising alternative for the treatment of chronic autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and oral application of type II collagen (CII) has been proven to improve pathogenic symptoms in RA patients without problematic side effects. To further current understandings about the immune suppression mechanisms mediated by orally administered antigens, we examined the changes in IgG subtypes, T-cell proliferative response, and proportion of interleukin (IL)-10 producing Th subsets in a time course study of collagen induced arthritis (CIA) animal models. We found that joint inflammation in CIA mouse peaked at 5 weeks after first immunization with CII, which was significantly subdued in mice pre-treated by repeated oral administration of CII. Orally tolerized mice also showed increase in their serum level of IgG1, while the level of IgG2a was decreased. T-cell proliferation upon CII stimulation was also suppressed in lymph nodes of mice given oral administration of CII compared to non-tolerized controls. When cultured in vitro in the presence of CII, T-cells isolated from orally tolerized mice presented higher proportion of $CD4^+IL-10^+$ subsets compared to non-tolerized controls. Interestingly, such increase in IL-10 producing cells were obvious first in Peyer's patch, then by 5 weeks after immunization, in mesenteric lymph node and spleen instead. This result indicates that a particular subset of T-cells with immune suppressive functions might have migrated from the original contact site with CII to inflamed joints via peripheral blood after 5 weeks post immunization.
인간-이동로봇 충돌 상해 평가를 위한 10세 아동 흉부모델 파라미터 보정 및 검증

인간-로봇 충돌의 안전성 평가를 위해 10세 아동 흉부 모델을 개발하였다. 해밀턴의 9세 어린이의 흉부 모델에서 폐 및 흉부 혈관의 스프링 계수(k23)가 여러 연령대의 흉부 압박에서 가장 민감한 것으로 나타났다. 연령별 제시된 흉부 부위별 질량과 스프링계수에 대한 함수를 도출 하여, 이중 10세 아동에 적합한 파라미터 값을 추출하였다. 이중 10세 아동의 k23의 실험적 검증을 위하여 원하는 환경에서 인간-로봇 충돌을 발생 시킬 수 있는 실험장비를 구축하였다. 본장비를 이용하여 해석으로 도출한 10세 아동의 k23 값을 검증 및 보정하였다. A ten-year-old child chest model is developed for safety assessment in human-robot collision. A spring coefficient for lung and chest vessels (k23) in a Hamilton`s nine-year-old child chest model was found to be most sensitive in chest compression for different ages. The parameter value of k23 was calibrated using the experimental data from Hybrid III 10-year old dummy in human-robot collision experiments. The proposed model with calibrated parameter was validated through the comparison between experimental and computer simulation results.
