FC(free choresterol) plays an important role in normal and pathophysiological cells including that of messenger molecule or dilator of blood vessels in such illnesses as artheriosclerosis, hypertension and myocardial infarction. Smooth muscle and endothelial cell functions in the arteria wall are unified by complex intercellular signalling processes. In arteria comprised of one layer of smooth muscle cells surrounding the endothelium, the close apposition of the two cell types enables a signal derived from one cell to rapidly diffuse to neighboring cells. Experimentation was conducted to investigate the potential contribution of Sohaphyangwon(SHHW) on levels of FC generated by goaded microphages, and mechanisms of protection against ACAT inhibitor. It was found that J774 macrophages, which normally do not express FC were expressed by oxLDL and ACAT inhibitor. SHHW protected cells were found to be resistant to oxLDL and delayed death following the FC. Inhibition of FC formation abolished the protective effect against ACAT inhibitor exposure. Cadiovascular diseases include abnormalities of blood vessels dysfunction of the renin-angiotension system. What relation herbal medicine may have with vessel endothelium necrosis was here studied. In Oriental Medicine, SHHW water extract used for diseases in relation to cardiovascular systems. The resistence to cardiovascular disease of ACAT inhibitor induced J774 macrophage cells were studied through analysis of cell morphological patterns and immunochemistry of SHHW. The results of this study suggest that SHHW has protective effects on the cardiovascular system, and that it is effective in both prevention and treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system, particularity against necrosis of blood.

본지에서는 지난 2000년 1월호에 '21세기 한국건축의 비전'이란 주제로 기획특집을 마련, 교육관련 부문을 이상헌(건국대 건축대학원)교수에게 집필 의뢰하여 '건축교육개혁방안 ; 학부 5년제 문제 있다'는 내용의 원고를 게재하였고, 이후 이교수의 글과 관련하여 김광현(서울대 건축학과)교수는 학부 5년제의 취지를 이해하지 못한데서 비롯됐다며, 이교수의 글에 대한 반론을 제기하여 '학부 5년제 문제있다는 주장의 문제'의 글을 기고하여 본지 2월호에 게재한 바 있다. 이에 대해 이상헌교수는 '학부 5년제 문제있다는 주장의 문제'에 대해 반론을 제기한 김광현교수의 글은 필자의 글에 대한 의도나 생각을 근본적으로 오해한 데서 비롯된 것으로서 이에 대한 보다 정확한 필자의 생각을 피력하기 위해 '대학원 중심의 4+2년제를 주장하는 이유'에 대한 글을 3월호에 게재코자 기고하였다. 그러나 지면관계상 3월호에 게재하지 못하고, 이번호의 '기고'지면을 통해 게재코자 하며, 아울러 지난 1,2월호 본지를 통해 게재된 건축교육 관련내용에 대한 필자의 글과 본란의 글은 우리 협회의 의견과 일치하지 않을 수도 있음을 밝힌다.

We were to develop a high heat retention and stability than conventional sleeping mats to produce creative than traditional hot mats, heated mats general comparison with experimental results is a more efficient heat retention mat is produced.

BiSrCaCuO(2223) superconductor was fabricated by the thermal pyrolysis method. The superconducting precursor produced by the dehydration of the gel at $120^{\circ}C$ for 12 h is not in the amorphous state as expected but in a crystalline state. In this paper, the establishment of fabrication condition was examined so as to improve the related properties to the practical use of BiSrCaCuO superconductor, and we reported the production of the BiSrCaCuO by the pyrolysis method.

In this research, the development of fabrication technique of bulk YBaCuO superconductors for application was studied. In fluence of $BaZrO_3$ addition on magnetization characteristics of thermal pyrolysis textured YBaCuO superconductor was investigated. Fine $BaZrO_3$ particle were dispersed within the textured YBaCuO matrix by means of the thermal pyrolysis processing. Magnetic levitation force for YBaCuO superconductors were obtained using Nd-B-Fe permanent magnet, at 77 K and at the magnetic field from 0 to 5.3 K gauss. In the unadded superconductor and 5 wt% $BaZrO_3$ addition, anomalous magnetization behavior, which is characterized by the intermediate magnetic field, was observed at 77 K. Critical current density was about few hundreds $A/cm^2$ and the magnetic characteristics increased slightly by addition of $BaZrO_3$ powder. Maximum magnetic force was obtained in the YBaCuO superconducting bulk with 3 wt.% $BaZrO_3$ addition.

리튬 이차전지용 부극재료로 미량의 실리콘이 첨가된 주석산화물 박막을 R.F. magnetron sputtering법을 이용하여 제조하였다. 실리콘의 첨가로 인해 주석의 산화상태를 감소시켜서 첫 번째 충방전 동안 비가역성을 감소시키는 전기 화학적 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 주석 산화물 박막의 결정 배향성은 기판온도가 올라감에 따라서 (110),(101),(211) 면들이 성장하였다. 합성된 박막은 기판온도가 $300^{\circ}C$이고 $Ar:O_2$의 비가 7:3일때, 700mAh/g의 에너지 밀도를 가지며 가장 좋은 가역성능을 보여주었다. Tin oxide thin films doped with silicon as anodes for lithium secondary battery were fabricated by R.F. magnetron sputtering technique. The electrochemical results showed that the irreversible capacity was reduced during the first discharge/charge cycle, because the audition of silicon decreased the oxidic state of Tin. Capacity was increased with the increase of substrate temperature, however decreased with the increase of RTA temperatures. The reversible capacity of thin films fabricated under the substrate temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ and the Ar:$O_2$ratio of 7:3 was 700mA/g.
