Effect of Mokhyangsungi-tang(MHS) on antioxidative ability in human intestinal epithelial cells

목적 : 본 연구는 목향순기탕(木香順氣湯)이 인간의 장관상피세포 계열인 Caco-2 세포에서 항산화작용을 증진시키는 효과가 있는지 검증하기 위한 실험이다. 방법 : 배양된 인간장관 세포계열인 Caco-2 세포에서 세포의 사망은 trypan blue의 소실정도에 의해 평가했으며 $H_2O_2$는 표본산화제로 사용되었다. 결과 : $H_2O_2$에서 노출된 세포들은 용량에 비례하여 세포 사망하는 결과를 보였다. 목향순기탕(木香順氣湯)은 $H_2O_2$에 의해 유발된 세포사망을 방지하였고, 0.05-1%의 농도범위에 걸쳐서 효과가 극대화되었다. 목향순기탕(木香順氣湯)과 강력한 항산화제인 DPPD는 $H_2O_2$에 의해 억제된 SOD의 활성에는 영향을 주지는 못했다. 그러나 $H_2O_2$에 의해 유발된 catalase, glutathione peroxidase, hydroperoxide 탈취효소의 활성이 감소되는 것을 억제하였다. 또한 $H_2O_2$에 의해 유발된 glutathione의 감소는 목향순기탕(木香順氣湯)과 DPPD에 의해 억제되었다. 목향순기탕(木香順氣湯)은 $H_2O_2$에 의해 유발된 ATP의 소실을 회복시켰지만 DPPD는 ATP 소실을 회복시키지 못하였다. 결론 : 이러한 결과로 볼 때 Caco-2세포에서 목향순기탕이 세포사망을 억제하는 것은 다른 기전을 통하여 항산화작용을 하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 목향순기탕(木香順氣湯)이 반응성산소기에 의해 유발된 인체 위장관질환의 치료에 사용할 수 있을 가능성을 제시하고 있다.
부호화 효율을 고려한 고속 인터/인트라 모드 결정 알고리즘

H.264/AVC 비디오 부호화 표준은 부호화 효율을 향상시키기 위하여 기존의 부호화 표준들과는 다른 새로운 부호화 기법들을 사용한다. 그러나 새로이 채택된 여러 기법들로 인해 H.264/AVC 표준 부호기의 복잡도는 극단적으로 증가하게 되었다. 특히 율-왜곡 최적화 기법에 의한 H.264/AVC의 인터/인트라 모드 결정 방법은 부호기의 복잡도를 증가시키는 가장 큰 원인 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 매크로블록 모드 결정 과정의 복잡도 감소 및 전체 부호화 효율 측면에서 우수함을 나타내는 데 주안점을 두며, 이에 대한 고속 매크로블록 모드 결정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘을 적용한 실험 결과, 고속 움직임 추정/보상과 결합한 경우 최대 80%의 부호화 시간을 감소시켰으며, 평균 $8{\sim}10%$의 비트율을 감소시키는데 반해 PSNR의 변화량은 미미하여 전체 부호화 효율 또한 상승시킬 수 있었다. For the improvement of coding efficiency, the H.264/AVC video coding standard employs new coding tools compared with existing coding standards. However, due to these new coding tools, the complexity of H.2641AVC encoder is greatly increased. Specially, Inter/Intra mode decision method of H.264/AVC using RDO(rate-distortion optimization) technique is one of the most complex parts in H.264/AVC. In this paper, we focus on the complexity reduction in macroblock mode decision considering coding efficiency. From the simulation results, the proposed algorithm reduce the encoding time by maximum 80% of total, and reduce the bitrate of the overall sequences by $8{\sim}10%$ on the average compared with existing coding methods.

The output of electricity for monocrystalline solar cell was investigated according to the distances between solar cell and halogen lamp and to the resistances by the variable resistor.

This paper is designed to find out where power reaches the highest point as the load of solar cells varies. In addition, the current and power were measured when irradiation changes, and the correlation between current and power was investigated. On top of that, experiments were conducted with the light volume kept constant and with the incoming light angle changing in order to figure out the incoming light angle that produces the most power and to conduct analyses. It was ascertained that if the load increases, the current decreases and the voltage increases. Since the power of 0.9828[W] was the highest when measurements were done, it can be said that when a load of 30[%] is applied to the solar cells, they are the most efficient.

Background: In a study, iris color was positively associated with skin melanin content. So it could be assumed that iris color has a close relationship with skin color. But until recently, classification system of iris color has been subjective and not suitable especially for Asian population for their relative homogeneity of iris color. Objective: The purpose of this study was to devise an objective and quantitative method to measure iris and skin color quantitatively and to assess the relationship and its significance. Methods: We devised photographic system composed of digital camera and tungsten lamp with color temperature conversion filter to acquire adequate iris images for colorimetric investigations. The reference CIELAB coordinates of color chart recorded with reflectance spectrophotometer were compared statistically with computed CIELAB coordinates from digital images in order to find equations for calibrating CIELAB values. To find the dermatological significance, we took pictures of 47 Korean patients with various conditions. They were evaluated with regard to iris color, color of sun-exposed and sun-protected skin. Results: The images obtained with this system were enough to be used for the assessment of iris and skin color. And, it was possible to quantify the iris color, skin color and its difference in colorimetric ways using the methods in this study. Lightness (L*) of sun-exposed skin is decreased to the age. L* of iris has a positive correlation with L* of sun-exposed skin. L* of iris was positively correlated with a* and b* of iris respectively. The relations were very similar with those between L* of iris and each of a* and b* of sun-protected skin. Conclusion: Iris color could be assessed by using their images colorimetrically obtained by our method. As L* of iris color has the similar relations with a* and b* in both iris and sun-protected skin, the iris color would be a clue to look for and define the constitutional skin color.
