도덕교육에서의 질적 연구 : 활성화를 위한 탐색

이 글은 질적 연구방법을 도덕교육연구에 어떻게 적극적으로 활용할 것인가 하는 도덕교육에서의 질적 연구 활성화를 위한 탐색에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 이 글에서는 도덕교육에서의 질적연구 활성화의 필요성, 기여점, 연구주제, 과제 등이 논의되었다, 첫째, 현상의 파악이 없이 기계적인 처방의 도입이 주류를 이루어온 도덕교육연구는 질적 연구의 활성화가 필요하다는 점. 둘째 질적 연구는 교육전반에 배어있는 가치문제에 대한 각성, 교사의 실천적 지식에 대한 학문적 논의 유발, 도덕교육의 문제에 대한 총체적 접근, 새로운 사회의 도덕문제에 대한 탐색 등을 가능하도록 함으로써 도덕교육에 기여한다는 점, 셋째 잠재적 교육과정의 가치, 도덕교육의 교수와 평가 방법, 도덕성 발달현상, 사회변화에 내포된 가치문제의 탐색 등이 도덕교육의 질적 연구 주제가 될 수 있다는 점 등이 논의되었다. 마지막으로는 질적 연구방법을 파라다임으로 접근하기보다는 연구기법으로 접근되어야 한다는 점이 도덕교육에서 질적 연구의 활성화를 위한 과제로 지적되었다. This study is to explore how to utilize qualitative research method for moral development and values education study. For this purpose the following four themes are discussed: First, why do we use the qualitative research method in moral education study? ; Second, how does the qualitative research method contribute to the field of moral development and values education?; Third, what are the concrete themes to be dealt with in terms of the qualitative research method in these fields?; Forth, what are the issues and problems for the utilization of the qualitative research method in the fields?

The purpose of this study is to explore the ways to support the revitalization of art teacher's out-of-school communities of practice as alternatives to enhance the competencies of art teachers. To this end, the current operation states of the domestic and foreign art teachers’ learning community were reviewed, and two excellent cases in Japan were selected and investigated. It also conducted in-depth interviews with two veteran art teachers. The study suggested four plans to support art teachers’ communities of practice; establishing formal communication systems through which opinions of communities of practice can be reflected in policy input; sharing the practices and research of communities; supporting the revitalization of private communities of practice; and expanding the opportunities that professional art teachers can exercise their competencies. 본 연구의 목적은 교사의 미술교육 전문성 신장을 위한 교원 정책의 대안으로서 학교 밖 미술 교사 학습공동체의 활성화 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 본 연구의 방법으로 국내·외 미술 교사 학습공동체의 운영 현황 고찰, 일본의 공적연구회와 사적연 구회의 우수 사례 탐색, 베테랑 미술 교사 심층 면담 조사 등을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 일본 동경도의 경우, 제도권 내 공적연구회에서는 내·외적 긴밀한 연계 체제를 구축하여 역량 있는 미술 교육 지도자와 교사들을 만날 기회를 제공하였고, 비제도권 내 사적연구회에서는 학습의 심화가 이루어졌다. 미술 교사 학습공동체의 지원 방안으로, 학습공동체의 의견이 정 책 입안에 반영될 수 있는 공식적 소통 체제의 구축, 학습공동체의 실천과 연구 결과 공유의 기회 제공, 사적연구회 활성화 지원, 역량 있는 교사의 전문성 발휘 기회 확대 등으로 제시하였다.

엘리트스포츠에 대한 문화철학적 고찰

엘리트스포츠는 국민에게 희망과 용기를 주는 것은 물론이고 국위 선양의 첨병으로서 국민에게 기여하는 정서적 효과가 매우 크다. 그러나 한편으로 생활체육과 사회체육의 발전을 가로막는 장애물로 지목되기도 한다. 이러한 이중적 관점의 대립은 엘리트스포츠 자체에 대한 논의가 지나치게 대중주의적 관점에 기대어 온 것에 기인한다. 본 연구는 엘리트스포츠의 당위성을 국가주의와 같은 정치, 사회학적 관점이 아닌 문화철학적 스펙트럼을 통해 고찰해 본 것이다. 엘리트스포츠는 한국 사회만이 가지는 독특한 스포츠문화로서 그 태생적 한계와 가능성을 동시에 지니고 있다. 국가에 의한 스포츠의 독점이라는 측면에서 바라볼 경우 부정적이고 후진적인 현상으로 파악되지만, 이미 한국적 스포츠 문화의 하나로 존재하는 이상 보다 깊이 있는 시각으로 접근할 경우 새로운 패러다임으로 기능할 여지를 남긴다. 그 새로운 시각과 접근을 본 연구에서는 스포츠가 문화로서 갖는 자기발전성에서 찾았다. 이를 통해 엘리트스포츠와 권력의 관계가 스포츠의 특수한 일면에 대한 과장에 기초하고 있음을 밝힘으로써 이데올로기적 장치로서의 엘리트스포츠가 갖는 한계를 분명히 할 수 있었다. 엘리트스포츠의 본원적 모습은 스포츠 자체의 문화적 특성과 그것이 갖는 문화로서의 존재근거를 획득함으로써 가능해진다. 이러한 관점을 통해 엘리트스포츠와 대중스포츠는 전자를 통해 창출된 새로운 운동문화가 후자를 매개로 상호 작용하는 보완적 관계에 있으며, 이를 원활히 만드는 일이 무엇보다 중요하다는 사실을 지적하였다. This paper aimed to provide understanding of Elite Sport in terms of cultural philosophy. Elite sport is a concept which is used only in Korea for politics to promote national pride. For this reason, sometimes the excellent national athletes make a deep impression on Koreans with the national anthem after winning in Olympic games. On the other hand, elite sport has been an obstacle to the development of lifelong sports. These opposing evaluations mean that the existing argument over sports mainly focus on populism and that elite sport has the limit and possibility at the same time as the original sport culture in Korea. Based on the idea that the nation has a monopoly on sports, the sports environment of Korea is under very negative and deplorable circumstances. However, since elite sport already settled as sport culture in Korea, a deeper approach is requested for the possibility of new sport culture paradigm. This study showed that the possibility could be found in one of the cultural aspects of sports, self-expandability. The past elite sport was based on the exaggerated political utilizations and it is one of the distorted culture that has a limit fundamentally. When elite sport recovers cultural self-subsistence, sport will be able to free itself from political influences. In conclusion, elite sport and lifelong sport have relationship of mutual development from the viewpoint of culture. The new culture of athletics that has been made by elite sport acts as a medium of lifelong sport.

기독교 학교의 종교교과 교육과정 개선을 위한 기초 연구 : 교육과정 숙의를 통한 신조(Platform) 구축

Recently Korean religious education, which has been a subject for faith education at Christian schools, turned into the science of religion for religion literacy education in secular schools can be observed. The effect of this change is that Christian schools have lost a curricular basis for teaching their educational missions and goals, and worldview that whole school curriculum was based on. In this context, in order to restore the curriculum basis for Christian schools’ faith education, as well as for better religion literacy education in our religiously plural society, this study aims to develop a platform of curriculum development principles to solve the problems surrounding religious education. For this purpose, 1) the current situation and problems of religious education, both at the national curriculum level and school curriculum level, were examined, focusing on the 2011 and 2015 re-visions; 2) the cause of the problems was identified at both levels; 3) a platform for this RE improvement is developed at 4 points; 4) and finally ideas about an alternative to current religious education are described briefly. The developed platform includes the following: 1) RE curriculum should give options that schools can select from according their educational purpose, whether faith education-based or focused on the science of religion; 2) when centered around the science of religion, Ninian Smart’s phenomenological approach to religion is more appropriate for deep understanding of religion, rather than the objective approach; 3) missionary work at Christian schools should rely on Ott’s so-called ‘revealed specialism’ rather than on an exclusive strategy; 4) the instruction of RE teachers should apply religious doctrine to students’ concerns and their developmental tasks. 지금까지 종교 교과에서는 이를 통해 신앙교육을 위한 교과기반을 확보하고자 하였던 기독교학교와 다종교사회에 필요한 종교 문해력을 키우려했던 종교교육과정 입안자들 사이의 갈등이 심화되어왔다. 이에 본 연구는 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 교육과정 숙의(curriculum deliberation)방법을 통해 기독교학교의 관점에서 종교교과 개선을 위한 기본적인 신조(platform)를 구축하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 현행 종교 교육과정의 문제와 원인을 알아보고 이를 근거로 4가지의 종교 교과 교육과정 개선을 위한 신조를 다음과 같이 개발하였다. 1) 종교 교과 교육과정은 교육과정 실행자인 기독교학교의 필요에 근거하여 신앙교육의 교과기반이 되도록 종교 교과를 ‘종교와 생활/종교학’으로 바꾸어야 하고 2) 종교 교과의 ‘종교학’의 접근은 객관주의에서 현상학적 접근으로 바뀌어야 하며, 3) 기독교학교의 선교적 접근 역시 배타주의에서 학생들의 종교적 양심과 다른 종교를 배려하는 ‘계시적 특별주의’로 전환되어야하며 4) 교수학습의 측면에서도 학생들의 관심과 실제문제를 다룰 수 있도록 교리제시수준을 넘어서야한다 것 등이었다. 이를 기반으로 개선된 종교교육의 대안의 개요가 교육과정 목표, 편제와 내용, 그리고 지원체제 등으로 구분되어 제시되었다. 이러한 신조구축은 국가수준교육과정에서는 종교교육의 정상화를 위한 기초연구로서 의미를 가지며 학교교육과정수준에서는 기독교학교의 종교 교육실행에 대한 자기반성적인 기회를 제공하였다는 의의를 가진다고 하겠다.

학교 성폭력예방교육의 방향정립을 위한 일 탐색

현대 성폭력문제의 심각성과, 성폭력관련법률의 학교에의 적용 그리고 성폭력 예방교육의 실시 임박 등은 학교 성폭력예방교육에 대한 교육학적 재조명을 요청한다. 이러한 필요에 따라 본고에서는 성폭력문제에 대한 교육적인 재조명을 통해 이에 대한 학교교육의 방향을 정립하려는데 목적을 둔다. 이를 위하여 구체적으로는 발생실태를 중심으로 우리사회의 성폭력에 대한 성격을 검토하고 이를 기반으로 성폭력예방교육의 방향을 모색하고 이에 부합하는 실제적인 학교 성폭력예방교육의 내용과 방법 등을 탐색하였다. The purpose of study is to explore the functions of the schools for the prevention of sexual violence or sexual abuse.For the purpose, the followings are discussed : 1) What are the characteristics of sexual violence in our society? 2)What is the desirable direction of the schools´ efforts for the prevention of sexual violence? ; 3) What is the appropriate contents and methods for it? Thus, this study draws a conclusion that for the prevention of the sexual violence schools need ultimately the pro-abstinence approach to sex education and the character Education emphasizing the self-control of sexuality and aggression.

우리나라 전통 활쏘기의 철학에 대한 고찰

Koreans have been skilled in archery since ancient times, overwhelming other ethnic groups in Northeast Asia. Furthermore, Korean traditional archery culture was unique and creative not only in its functional aspect but also in philosophy. The profound philosophy, especially, that one must have a moral attitude in archery is highly valuable for academic research. However, research on the philosophy of archery is still unsatisfactory. This study will investigate the spiritual and ethical values inherent in Korean traditional archery and what principles are implemented. To analyze these features thoroughly, this study will examine archery in advanced Confucianism and the Neo-Confucian society of the Joseon Dynasty. First, this study will investigate the principle of archery in advanced Confucianism through the important practice guideline of ‘self-control and the restoration of propriety (克己復禮)’, then it will examine the principle of archery in Neo-Confucianism through the practical paradigm of ‘respect (敬)’. This philosophical work is a meaningful attempt to reveal the philosophical structure of East Asian martial arts that bring spiritual transcendence to physical activities and to reveal the originality of traditional Korean archery. 한민족은 일찍부터 활에 능하여 동북아시아의 다른 민족을 압도하였다. 또한 한국의 활 문화는 기능적인 측면뿐만 아니라 철학에 있어서도 독특하고 창의적이었다. 특히 활쏘기에서 도덕적인 태도를 갖추어야 한다는 매우 심원한 철학은 학술적 연구의 가치가 매우 높다. 그러나 활쏘기의 철학에 대한 연구는 여전히 만족스럽지 않다. 본 연구는 우리나라 전통 활쏘기에 내재해있는 정신적이고 윤리적인 가치가 어떤 원리에 의해 드러나는지를 연구할 것이다. 이를 면밀하게 분석하기 위해 본 연구는 공자의 선진유학과 조선 시대의 성리학을 통해 살펴보고자 한다. 먼저 선진유학에서의 활쏘기를 ‘극기복례(克己復禮)’라는 유학의 중요한 실천 원리에 의해 살펴보고, 성리학에서의 활쏘기를 ‘경(敬)’이라는 실천적 패러다임을 통해 고찰해 볼 것이다. 이런 철학적인 작업은 신체활동에서 정신적 초월을 끌어내는 동양 무술 전체의 철학적 구조를 밝히는 일이며 동시에 우리나라 전통 활쏘기의 독창성을 드러내는 의미 있는 시도이다.

Creating an Activity Sheet To Enhance Art Museum Learning

This study suggests that art teachers at schools and art educators at art museums make good use of activity sheets as a teaching-learning tool to promote art museum learning. Examined were theoretical foundations that are essential for creating activity sheets, including Housen(2007)'s aesthetic developmental stage theory, Housen and Yenawine(2002)'s styles of inquires applied in Visual Thinking Strategies(VTS), Yenawine (2003)s' fundamental components for choosing images, and Villeneuve (1996)'s guideline to constitute well-structured activity sheets. Based on the theoretical exploration, examples of activity sheets made by art museums were analyzed. An activity sheet created by the author was presented. To enrich art museum learning, the study calls for art teachers and art educators to recognize the importance of students' creative dialogue about the arts and be well informed of knowledge and practices to facilitate interpretative thought and aesthetic perception.
