부산석고 시용에 의한 밭 토양 특성과 마늘의 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향

BACKGROUND: Globally, large amounts of phosphogypsum (PG), which is a by-product of the phosphate fertilizer production, is deposited in open areas. As PG contains calcium, phosphate, and sulphate, it can be used as a soil amendment in farmlands. This study was conducted to investigate the effects of PG application on properties of field soil and yield and quality of garlic (Allium sativum L.), and to seek appropriate level of PG application into the field. METHODS AND RESULTS: This experiment was conducted by applying PG at four different levels that were adjusted based on 65% calcium base saturation in the field soil: 0% (control), 50% (PG50, 100 kg/10a), 100% (PG100, 200 kg/10a), and 150% (PG150, 300 kg/10a). Following cultivation, soil electrical conductivity (EC), organic matter, available P and exchangeable Ca increased, whilst soil pH decreased. With increase in PG application level, soil EC and exchangeable Ca increased. PG application increased concentrations of water soluble Ca and SO4 across the soil profile, especially in PG150. The highest yield of garlic was found in PG100 treatment. The plant's uptake for N, P, Ca, and S increased by PG applications, but that for K decreased. Moreover, concentrations of S-related amino acids such as cysteine and methionine in garlic increased by PG applications. The increased content of nutrients and amino acids with PG supply might improve yield, quality, and favor of the crop. CONCLUSION: Overall, PG application at 200 kg/10a into a field had the best effect on improving soil fertility as well as yield and quality of garlic. Further studies are required to maximize efficiencies of PG supply in soil management and production of various crops.
어머니의 구강보건관리행태가 초등학교 아동의 치아우식에 미치는 영향

Objectives : By analyzing the affects of the mother`s oral care to the caries experiences of the elementary school children, To looking for the way to prevent dental caries in the primary school, to provide baseline data to perform the associated oral health education. Methods : Between the 3,676 children`s dental check-up data and the 2,934 survey of parents from 9 elementary schools in the the Gyeonggi Province, the exactly matching data of 2,358 pairs, children versus mothers, were analyzed during the period, 2009 May 4 to July 20, By using the PASW 18(SPSS-PC 18), Frequency analysis of the collected data, and cross-analysis, ANOVA, Bonferroni post-analysis was performed. Results : The findings of the study were as follows. 1. In children, the ratio(DMF rate)of the dental caries experience in permanent teeth, appeared higher for men than women. Divided by grade level, the ratio of caries experience in the permanent teeth(DMF rate) generally appear higher in older than young. Thus between the child`s gender and grade level by the ratio of caries experience in the permanent teeth(DMF rate) showed the statistically significant differences (p<0.05). 2. Between the socioeconomic characteristics of mothers and the children`s level of dental caries experiences, not showed the statistically significant difference.(p>0.05). 3. The significant difference showed between the dental caries levels of the children and the mother`s oral health care behavior - a toothbrush replacement period, mother`s broken teeth, mothers guidances of the brushing after snacks for children(p<0.05). Conclusions : The mother`s oral health attitudes and behaviors can affect to their children`s oral care habits. Therefore The mother themselves should have the right proper habit of oral health care, so that in oral health care mothers should be the model for their children. Institutionally more systematic and detailed oral health educational program in conjunction with the family is needed.(J Korean Soc Dent Hygiene 2012;12(1):145-156)
토양 견밀도가 (堅密度) 수목생장에 미치는 영향 - 어린이대공원 수목관리를 중심으로 -

Diameter growth was surveyed for 22 years-old pitch pine (Pinus rigida Mill.) growing on the forest land (site protected from artificial damage) and the resting place (site open for the recreation) of the Children Park, Seoul, Korea on September 28, 1975. The purpose of the survey was to find out difference in the tree growth between the two sites, and possible causes of the difference. Both the resting place and the forest land have deep fertile sandy-loam soil, moderate slope for south-west. The resting place, however, has much higher soil compactness by treading than the forest land. Before May 5, 1973, the opening date of the park, the trees on the resting place had higher diameter growth than those on the forest land as measured with increament borer. After the Park opening the trees on the resting place showed less growth than those on the forest land. In 1975, the growth on the resting place was less than that of the forest land by 6.5% at 1% significant level. The difference in growth was attributed to the soil compactness of the resting place by treading. The necessity for the same kind of study with other species for the tree management of parks was suggested.

Distributed genetic algorithm (DGA), also known as island model or coarse-grained model, is a kind of parallel genetic algorithm, in which a population is partitioned into several sub-populations and each of them evolves with its own genetic operators to maintain diversity of individuals. It is known that DGA is superior to conventional genetic algorithm with a single population in terms of solution quality and computation time. Several researches have been conducted to evaluate effects of parameters on GAs, but there is no research work yet that deals with structure of DGA. In this study, we tried to evaluate performance of various genetic algorithms (GAs) for the famous symmetric traveling salesman problems. The considered GAs include a conventional serial GA (SGA) with IGX (Improved Greedy Crossover) and several DGAs with various combinations of crossover operators such as OX (Order Crossover), DPX (Distance Preserving Crossover), GX (Greedy Crossover), and IGX. Two distinct immigration policies, conventional noncompetitive policy and newly proposed competitive policy are also considered. To compare performance of GAs clearly, a series of analysis of variance (ANOVA) is conducted for several scenarios. The experimental results and ANOVAs show that DGAs outperform SGA in terms of computation time, while the solution quality is statistically the same. The most effective crossover operators are revealed as IGX and DPX, especially IGX is outstanding to improve solution quality regardless of type of GAs. In the perspective of immigration policy, the proposed competitive policy is slightly superior to the conventional policy when the problem size is large.
제주 관광의 장기 수요변화 특성과 수요예측에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to prove research assumption that the econometric model will minimize the forecast error rather than applying time series analysis for the long-run tourism demand forecast in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. Results showed that the prediction error could be minimized when applying the econometric model as an independent variable with only one GDP per capita, rather than applying a time series analysis. In Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, tourism demand fluctuated sharply due to the increase in low-cost airlines, high popularity of Jeju Olle trail, diplomatic conflicts with China, and the COVID-19 Pandemic. This study suggests to use an econometric model using per capita GDP to accurately predict long-run tourism demand of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province.
뉴노멀(New Normal) 2.0 시대의 관광: 코로나19 유행 기간 제주 방문 관광객 IPA 결과를 중심으로

The COVID-19 crisis is challenging tourist industries worldwide. It may offer invaluable opportunities to reset tourism toward a better pathway for the future. The purpose of this study was to explore the importance and performance level of the quarantine of the tourist service business during the crisis of spreading corona virus to predict the new normal 2.0 tourism. The 502 data was collected from Feb. 29 to Mar. 1, 2020 at the Jeju National Airport. As a research method, the traditional IPA and the revised IPA analysis were carried out together. The results showed that virus protection for public transportation, lodging facilities, and souvenir shops that tourists consider important should be thoroughly implemented to prevent an epidemic of corona virus. In order to revitalize tourism industry in the era of new normal 2.0, a tourism transformation based on sustainability is needed.
한국 최초의 올림픽 참가 과정 연구: 제5회 생모리츠 동계올림픽을 중심으로

본 연구는 한국 최초의 올림픽 참가 승인 배경, 참가 과정 및 내용, 의미를 밝히는 것에 목적이 있다. 광복 이후 국내에서는 주로 올림픽 관련 단체결성 활동을 중심으로 올림픽 참가를 준비했고, 국외에서는 전경무와 이원순 등의 인물을 중심으로 활발한 대외교섭 활동을 펼쳤다. 이와 같은 노력을 바탕으로 한국은 독자적 올림픽 참가의 길을 열게 되었다. 1948년 생모리츠 동계올림픽에는 최용진 감독을 비롯한 이효창, 이종국, 문동성 세 선수가 선발되어 올림픽 무대를 밟았다. 많은 우여곡절 속에서 올림픽에 출전한 선수단은 부상과 컨디션 난조로 다소 아쉬운 성적을 기록했다. 그러나 한국의 최초 올림픽참가는 신생 독립국 한국을 세계만방에 알리는 기회였으며, 빙상 한국의 토대가 마련되었다는 점에 의의가 있다. The purpose of this research is to reveal the process of Korea’s first official Olympic participation, as well as its historical significance. Following Korea’s liberation, preparations for the Olympic Games in Korea were primarily focused on organizing Olympic-related activities, whereas overseas, active foreign negotiation activities were carried out by Gyeongmu Jeon and Wonsun Lee. Korea was able to compete in the Olympics as an independent nation as a result of these efforts. Coach Yong-jin Choi and three other athletes, Hyo-chang Lee, Jong-guk Lee, and Dong-seong Moon, were selected to compete in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz. However, the team’s outcome was somewhat disappointing after much meandering due to injuries and poor health status. Nonetheless, Korea’s first Olympic participation was an opportunity to introduce Korea, a newly independent nation, to the world, and it is significant in the sense that it became a turning point in the development of sports, laying the foundation for ice skating in Korea.
