Currently, strengthen of the buildings energy efficiency of is need according to has become necessary growing instability of energy supply, and interest of the climate change agreements and global environment. As a result, the government is preparing measures to save energy in buildings to deal with changes in the global environment and high oil prices. In architecture, insulation is the basis for building energy saving because heating load and energy consumption as the most basic method for reducing energy consumption of buildings directly related to cooling load. The insulation performance of the building envelope is determined by the thermal performance, such as the density and thermal conductivity of insulation. Thus, the performance of insulation materials is an important issue directly related to the energy saving of building. For this reason, the construction market is increasing the demand of insulation for economic and better than before. The purpose of this study is to compare the types and characteristics of insulation materials by principle and to analyze the annual energy consumption and economic feasibility by insulation types.

The cells of Rubia cordifolia var. pratensis were transformed by Agrobactrium tumefaciens strain 11157. Surface-sterilized young leaves and stems of the plants were cocultivated with bacterial suspensions. Crown galls induced from stems were cultured with variation of culturing conditions and compared with untransformed cells. The growth rates and production of anthraquinone pigments of cells were remarkably improved by transformation. Furthermore, hairy roots were induced by inoculation or cocultivation with Agrobacterium rhizogenes strains.

1. 러셀-실버 증후군 환아는 특징적인 소구증 및 유아기의 섭식 장애를 보이므로, 출생 후 필요시설소대 절제술을 고려해야 하며 특별히 고안된 구강위생 용품이 구강위생 증진에 도움이 될 수 있다. 2. 러셀-실버 증후군 환아의 우식 치료 시 개구량이 확보되지 않으므로 근육 이완을 위해 전신마취를 고려해야 하며, 소형의 핸드피스 및 버와 같은 기구들을 사용하여 접근하는 것이 치료를 수월케 하며 환아의불편감을 감소시킬 수 있다. Russell-Silver syndrome is a genetic disorder characterized by intrauterine and/or postnatal growth restriction and typical facies. The clinical feature is various due to heterogeneous genetic characters. Their common findings are short stature without catch-up growth, normal head size for age, a distinctive triangular face with prominent forehead and a pointed chin, low set ears and clinodactyly of the fifth fingers. Intraoral features of the syndrome are microdontia, delayed tooth eruption, hypodontia, and crowding. More than 400 case have been reported in the literature, and estimated incidence is from 1 in 3000 to 1 in 100,000. In this case we performed caries treatment under the general anesthesia for the patient with Russell-Silver syndrome. Dentist have to consider microstomia for the management of patients with Russell-Silver syndrome.
나노실리카와 TEOS가 함유된 친수성 코팅액의 태양광 유리팬널에 미치는 표면 특성 연구

태양광 발전의 효율을 높이기 위한 실란 커플링제와 나노 무기산화물을 첨가한 계면활성제를 이용한 친수성 코팅액을 제조하여 태양광 모듈의 유리 표면에 도포하여 김서림 방지(antifogging) 및 내오염성(antifouling)을 부여하였다. 1% 친수성 코팅액에 나노 무기산화물인 LudoxⓇ를 첨가한 경우 LudoxⓇ의 농도에 관계없이 초친수성과 우수한 antifogging 효과를 나타내었다. 그러나 유리에 대한 antifouling 효과는 LudoxⓇ를 10% 이상 첨가하였을 때부터 발현되었다. 또한, pH 4에서 가수분해한 TEOS를 첨가한 코팅액의 경우 TEOS를 0.7% 첨가한 경우 steam test 결과 antifogging 효과를 유지하였으며, 코팅한 유리 표면을 젖은 킴와이프로 100회 문지른 후에도 pollution test 결과 antifouling 효과를 유지하였다. 또한, AFM을 이용하여 표면 거칠기(Rq)를 확인한 결과 TEOS를 너무 많이 첨가하면 가장 높은 표면 거칠기 값을 보였으며 코팅된 표면의 상태도 매우 불규칙하였다. TEOS가 0.7% 첨가된 경우 비교적 높은 표면 거칠기 값과 안정된 표면 상태를 나타내었다. 결론적으로 김서림 방지 특성만을 위하여는 나노 무기산화물인 LudoxⓇ는 필요없으나, antifouling의 효과를 나타내기 위해서는 최소 10%의 LudoxⓇ가 첨가되어야 하며, 우수한 내구성을 나타내기 위해서는 0.7%의 TEOS를 첨가해야 한다. A hydrophilic coating solution was prepared by adding a silane coupling agent and a nano-inorganic oxide in aqueous surfactant solution to increase the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation due to the introduction of antifogging and antifouling properties on the glass surface of the solar cell module. Addition of LudoxⓇ, a nano-inorganic oxide, to 1% hydrophilic coating solution showed improved hydrophilicity and excellent antifogging effect regardless of LudoxⓇ concentration. However, the antifouling effect on the glass surface was showed only when Ludox was added more than 10%. In the case of addition of 0.7% of hydrolyzed TEOS at pH 4, the antifogging effect was maintained as a result of the steam test as well as the antifouling effect even after the coated glass surface was rubbed 100 times with a wet Kimwipe. In addition, from the surface roughness (Rq) calculated using AFM data, the higher surface roughness with irregular surface shape was obtained with the higher concentration of TEOS. The addition of 0.7% of TEOS showed relatively high surface roughness and well organized surface condition which can help to improve transmittance of light. In conclusion, LudoxⓇ is not required only for the antifogging property. However, at least 10% of Ludox should be added to show antifouling effect and 0.7% of TEOS should be added for good durability.

Many studies have found adult stem cells in human teeth or correlated tissues. However, most of these stem cells were found in the permanent teeth or pulp from exfoliated deciduous teeth. The aim of the present study was to characterize stem cells isolated from the functional dental pulp and periodontal ligament of deciduous teeth. Dental pulp tissue was obtained from deciduous teeth by extirpation during treatment for dental caries, and periodontal tissue was obtained from deciduous teeth that were extracted for orthodontic reasons or space management. We observed cell outgrowth from these tissues in ``explants culture``, and named these cells as deciduous dental pulp stem cells (DDPSCs) and deciduous periodontal ligament stem cells (DPDLSCs), respectively. These stem cells presented embryonic stem cell markers (Oct-4 and Nanog), an ectomesenchymal stem cell marker (Nestin), and mesenchymal stem cell markers (Stro-1 and CD146). In differentiation media, DDPSCs and DPDLSCs were able to change into cells that produce lipid vacuoles or cells that induce extracellular mineral aggregation, expressing genes correlated with adipogenesis (PPARγ2 and LPL) or osteogenesis (ALP and BSP), respectively. This is the first report of the presence of multipotent stem cells in the functional dental pulp and periodontal ligament tissue of deciduous teeth, which can be isolated using an explants culture method. These tissues can be obtained easily during routine dental procedures, and could therefore represent a good source of adult stem cells for use in regenerative medicine.

저자는 Axenfeld-Rieger 증후군을 가지는 5세 8개월 연환에 대한 구강 및 두개 안면에 대한 임상적, 방사선학적 관찰을 통해 다음과 같은 지견을 얻었다. 1. 본 증례의 환아는 Axenfeld-Rieger 증후군의 전형적인 안과적, 구강적, 전신적 특징인 녹내장, 동공이상, 제탈장, 지연된 골령, 다수 치아 및 치배 결손, 상악 저 성장 등을 보였다. 2. 이에 대한 주기적인 관찰과 적절한 시기의 치료개입이 중요하다. 3. 치과의사에 의한 조기진단이 녹내장 등에 의한 시력 상실을 방지하기 위해 중요하다. Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant disorder characterized by various ocular and extraocular malformations. The incidence of Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome has been estimated to be 1 per 200,000. The syndrome is characterized by short body stature, delayed bone age, and deficient or arrested development of neural crest cells involving the anterior chamber of the eyes, facial bones, teeth, periumbilical skin, and cardiovascular system. This is a case of a 6 year-old girl, who came to the department of the pediatric dentistry, Yonsei University Dental Hospital, for evaluation and treatment of multiple congenital missing permanent teeth. The patient presented typical dental, craniofacial, and systemic features of Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome, such as glaucoma, oval pupil, heterochromatic iris, umbilical hernia, and delayed bone age. On the panoramic view, 3 primary teeth were missing and 13 permanent tooth germs were absent. On the lateral cephalograph, nderdevelopment of the maxilla and normal growth pattern of the mandible were confirmed. Periodic dental follow-up is planned for evaluation and interceptive treatment of her dental and craniofacial problems. Denture or removable space maintainer with a pontic is considered for esthetic and functional restoration. In addition, orthognathic surgery is also planned in future to prevent further midfacial skeletal deformation. Early diagnosis of Axenfeld-Rieger syndrome is very important to prevent exacerbation of complications, such as glaucoma and skeletal deformities.
