Derivative analysis, based on the derivative of the drawdown as a function of time (i.e., rate of drawdown change), was applied to the evaluation of hydraulic parameters of the aquifer as an aid of the aquifer test interpretation based on the Theis solutions. Pumping tests were conducted at a coastal fractured aquifer in Muan county, Korea, of which the drawdown data, measured at the two observation wells, were used for derivative analysis. Wellbore storage and transition period were hard to identify at conventional log-log and semi long plots, but was easily recognized by distinctive curves of positive unit slope, hump and negative unit slope in the derivative plot. For the observation well of OW-2 at which wellbore storage and transition lasted over an hour, conventional aquifer analysis would suffer from the uniqueness problems and in further result in erroneous hydraulic parameters. Derivative analysis was found to be effective for distinguishing the drawdown data directly reflecting the aquifer property from those reflecting non aquifer effects such as wellbore storage and transition, which offers a unified methodology to yield correct hydraulic parameters from aquifer test data.

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of endurance training on mitochondrial biogenesis and function in GK rats. In experiments, endurance training were conducted using rat treadmill instrument (21m/min, 1h/day, 5days/week, 6weeks) and sodium selenite were injected (5u㏖/㎏) in means of intraperitoneal injection. In exercise group, mitochondrial biogenesis-related genes, Tfam, NRF-1, and PGC1-α mRNA expression level increased compared to control group. Especially, combination of exercise adminstration is effective in the increased mitochondrial biogenesis, activity, and glucose sensitivity in diabetes. Accordingly, exercise treatment seem to improve diabetes and mitochondrial function.

Objectives This study is aimed at assessing the reliability of the Pattern identification questionnaire (PIQ) developed by Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine and examining the validity of the PIQ by comparing the pattern identification scores of different groups. Methods We conducted a survey of 258 participants (79 teachers and 179 graduate students at one School of Korean Medicine) using self-reported questionnaire and all the samples were retested. The test-retest reliability was assessed by Kappa coefficient(κ) and Pearson correlation coefficient. Also we compared the differences in pattern identification scores according to sex, age and occupation. Results 1. One of 116 questions are impossible to calculate; 22 of them (18.97%) scored under 0.4 in κ; 90(77.59%) ranged from 0.4 to 0.8 in κ; and three questions (3.58%) scored 0.8 or over in κ. 2. Pearson correlation coefficients between test score and retest score of all pattern identification items are 0.4 or over. 3. The mean score for pattern identification in women was generally higher than that in men, particularly in patterns of blood-deficiency, blood-stasis, yang-deficiency and kidney disease. 4. The mean score for pattern identification in the graduate student group was generally higher than that in the teacher group. Conclusion In test-retest reliability, the PIQ showed relatively high reliability. The mean pattern identification score showed differences in regards to retaining knowledge about Korean medicine. Therefore, future research involving modification of questionnaire items and confirming the validity of this questionnaire is required.
철도차량 공기스프링 내부 슬라이딩 시트 파손이 다이어프램에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 철도차량 대차에 적용되는 공기스프링 내부 슬라이딩 시트의 파손 정도 및 유무가 다이어프램에 미치는 영향 예측을 목적으로 하며, 실제 차량 운행에 준하는 내구성 시험 및 해석을 진행했다. 해석은 벨로즈와 보조스프링이 조립된 공기스프링 완제품을 모델로 하였으며, 횡방향 단일 방향 조건과 횡방향 및 길이방향 이방성 조건으로 진행하였다. 내구성 시험은 임의 5개소 부위를 파손한 슬라이딩 시트 파손 조건과 슬라이딩 시트를 제거한 두 조건으로 반복 진행했다. 해석결과 횡방향 하중 적용 모델과 종, 횡방향 하중을 모두 적용한 모델 모두 실제 운행 조건상균열 부위와 유사한 것을 확인했다. 내구 시험 결과 두 조건 모두 합격 판정 기준을 통과하였다.

Development of safety management system in this study is a monitoring system for the establishment and operation of harmful chemical substances that can be in cost less to match the actual situation of middle and small business. By utilizing the dispersion model set to build a system that can be applied to the field, simulation enables real-time monitoring and accidental of harmful chemical substances that occur in industrial sites, the diffusion behavior were analyzed. Effectively monitored by output to the screen in real time dispersion behavior of harmful chemical substances, we will be able to advise the contractor and the surrounding portion is included in the problem. This is a safety management and emergency response in the field can be possible.
