        잠자는 미녀 문제에 대한 가버식 해결책

        In my previous paper (2009), I defended a solution of the Sleeping Beauty problem, according to which, on Monday, Sleeping Beauty assigns a lower credence to the coin`s landing heads than 1/2. This conclusion was largely favorable to the Thirder view. However, even if my defense of the Thirder view was successful, it left one important question to be unanswered: Where did the Halfers go wrong? Their main argument was simple: Because Sleeping Beauty does not receive new and relevant evidence about how the coin lands, her credence in its landing heads should remain to be the same. But note that, if the Thirder view was right and Sleeping Beauty receives no new and relevant evidence, then this becomes a special case of the so-called old evidence problem (Glymour, 1980). In this paper, I will explain why it is rational for Sleeping Beauty to change her credence despite the lack of new evidence about the coin`s landing heads. For this explanation, I will use Garber`s well-known solution to the old evidence problem.

        컨벡스 헐을 이용한 개선된 구 좌표계 기반 렌더링 방법

        본 논문에서는 컨벡스 헐을 이용한 구 좌표계 기반 실시간 렌더링 알고리즘이 제안되었다. OpenGL 렌더링 파이프라인은 물체의 모든 정점들을 고려하지만, 제안된 방법은 물체의 가시 삼각형들을 검사하여 보이는 정점들만을 고려한다. 본 논문에서는 구좌표계 표현에서의 물체의 가시 영역을 결정하기 위하여, 카메라 절두체를 이루는 6개의 평면 방정식과 물체의 경계구와의 기하 관계를 이용한다. 또한 대상 물체의 컨벡스 헐(convex hull)의 최대 측면 성분(maximum side factor)을 고려하여 은면(hidden surface)을 제거하는 효과적인 방법이 구현되었다. 실험결과로부터 결과 영상이 원본 영상과 거의 같고, 렌더링 성능이 크게 개선됐음을 확인하였다. This paper presents a novel real-time rendering algorithm based on spherical coordinate system of the object using convex hull. While OpenGL rendering pipeline touches all vertices of an object, the proposed method takes account the only visible vertices by examining the visible triangles of the object. In order to determine the visible areas of the object in its spherical coordinate representation, the proposed method uses 3D geometric relation of 6 plane equations of the camera frustum and the bounding sphere of the object. In addition, we compute the convex hull of the object and its maximum side factors for hidden surface removal. Simulation results showed that the quality of result image is almost same compared to original image and rendering performance is greatly improved.

        뇌하수체 제거술이 수행된 랫트의 혈액학 및 혈액화학적 소견

        The present study was carried out to produce the hematological and blood chemical findings after hypophysectomy in rats. Hypophysectomy was performed by the parapharyngeal method and the sham surgery was performed for the control group. Two weeks after the operation, the body weight of the hypophysectomized and control rats was measured daily for 5 days. We deleted the rats the weight gain of which is less than 5 g during 5 days from the hypophysectomy group. The successful operation rate was approximately 40%. In the hypophysectomized and control rats, their blood samples were collected from posterior vena cava after celiotomy under generally anesthesia with ether. Hematological parameters such as erythrocyte count, leukocyte count, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit level, and platelet count were determined by Animal Blood Counter. The erythrocyte count, hemoglobin concentration, and hematocrit level were lower significantly (p<0.01), and the leukocyte count was lower significantly (p<0.05) in hypophysectomy group compared with control group. But the plate count did not show significant difference (p>0.05) between hypophysectomy group and control group. Also, blood chemical parameters such as glucose, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), aspartate animotransferase, albumin, total protein, cholesterol, calcium, and magnesium in serum were determined. Except BUN concentration, all parameters were not affected by hypophysectomy. But the BUN concentration was higher significantly (p<0.01) in hypophysectomy group compared with control group.

        Rat의 intestine 각 부위에 수술적으로 투여 된 insulin 제제에 의한 혈당 변화

        The present study was carried out to examine the effect of insulin formula on blood glucose change in normal Sprague-Dawley male rats. Also, this study was performed to investigate the feasibility of oral insulin formula development. To administrate the insulin formula into intestine, the surgical technique, celiotomy, was performed in rats. Insulin formula was administrated at a dose of 24.5 IU/kg via duodenum, ileum, and colon of the rats, and the blood glucose level was measured. For the comparison, the vehicle without insulin was administrated into ileum via celiotomy. Also, this insulin formula was administrated into rats orally using sonde and the same parameter was treasured. The bloods of all groups were collected from tail veins using syringes at given time interval. Orally administrated group did not show the change of blood glucose level and control group slightly show the change of blood glucose level at 1 hour after celiotomy. All intestinally administrated groups showed the change of blood glucose level. Among the tested groups, ileac administration group and colonic administration group showed the significant change of blood glucose level. Particularly, ileac administration group showed the lowest blood glucose level. To calculate the bioavailability of intestinal and oral administration, insulin solution was injected subcutaneosly, common insulin injection route, into another normal rats. The bioavailability of ileac group was 8.3% when compared with subcutaneous injection, duodenal group was 1.8%, colonic group was 4.2%, and oral group was 0.2%, respectively.

        전망이론에 의거한 의지박약의 설명

        의지박약이란 행위 a가 행위 b보다 낫다고 믿으면서도 b를 실행하게 되는 현상을 말한다. 그런데 의지박약이 실제로 일어난다면 우리는 한 가지 문제에 부딪히게 되는데 그것은 b의 행위를 단순한 신체의 움직임으로부터 구별할 수 있으려면 b에는 이유가 있어야 하지만 물론 a가 b보다 낫다는 믿음이 그 이유일 수는 없다는 것이다. 나는 두 가지 형태의 결정이론들을 이용하여 이 문제를 해결하고자 한다. 하나는 주어진 상황에서 합리적 선택이 무엇인지를 다루는 기대효용 최대화이론이고 또 하나는 사람들이 실제로 선택하는 행위가 무엇인지 다루는 전망이론이다. 이 이론들은 기대효용과 기대가치라는 두 가지 심적 상태를 상정한다. 나는 이 논문에서 기대효용에 있어서는 a가 b보다 낫다고 판단되지만 실제 선택은 더 높은 기대가치에 입각하여 b가 선택될 때 의지박약이 발생한다고 논할 것이다. Weakness of will is a phenomenon in which one action (action A) is judged to be a better decision than another (action B), yet the agent chooses to move forward with the less prudent choice. When this phenomenon occurs, we have a seemingly insoluble problem: if the agent proceeds with B, then there ought to be an understandable reason for this decision - otherwise, it would be just a physical movement of limbs, not an intended action - but such a reason cannot be found in the original conclusion that action A is better than action B. I attempt a resolution at this problem by employing two theories regarding choice. One is expected utility maximization, which asks for the most rational choice in a given situation. The other is the prospect theory, which is more concerned with people"s actual behaviors rather than what is puerly rational. These theories posit two quantitative mental states, expected utility and expected value. In this article, I shall argue that weakness of will occurs when action A is judged to be better than B in terms of expected utility, but the latter is chosen due to its higher expected value.

        고조선 연구의 신지평 『삼국사기』에 나타난 신라의 낙랑 인식과 신라 건국 세력의 성격 -신라와 고조선과의 관계를 중심으로-

        This paper examined the reason why Nakrang(樂浪) harassed Silla as more than any other nation in the Samguksagi Silla-bongi. The records of Nakrang`s invasion in the Samguksagi Silla-bongi unlike traditional war record. As a result, it has a role to enhance the image that Silla was a country ruled by a saint. the record gave up the national prestige of Silla. At the time, the leader led to attack on Silla was not Lelang(樂浪) governor but the king of Nakrang(樂浪) state. Actual the record of Nakrang in Samguk-sagi Silla-bongi finished by the people of Nakrang come to Silla. ‘Nakrang’ name was used from Wiman-Chosun period. The sentence about the Xuantu(玄?)·Lelang-County area in the Geography section(地理志) of Hansu(漢書) indicates the situation of Nakrang at the time. The sentence covered lots for Ji-Zi(箕子), but did not address at all for Wiman, because it had reflected the opinion of Proto-Old-Chosun force, concerned with Ji-Zi. On the other hand, in the traditions of the Chosun(朝鮮列傳) Shiji(史記) does not look at all about Ji-Zi. This phenomenon shows that it should distinguish between Wiman-Chosun and Proto-Old-Chosun force. Wiman force had developed at western part of Old-Chosun and annexed to Old-Chosun. At that time Old-Chosun force not fused in Wiman-Chosun and lost their identity but lived in separate area and reduced the size to the prefecture level. At Wiman-Chosun period, they had been called Nakrang or Nakrang-Chosun, distinguished by the country name of Wiman-Chosun. they also kept their force when received the government of Han empire. The records, they had fled to escape the forced labor in Qin(秦) empire, used ‘bang(邦)’ instead of the ‘guk(國)’ and came to evacuate in Yen(燕) area, show that the Chosun people founded Silla were Wiman-Chosun ancestry. In other words, Silla was related with Wiman-Chosun and Nakrang was related with Proto-Old-Chosun force. The Nakrang-related records in the Samguksagi Silla-bongi serve to show that Silla was the nation ruled by a saint.

        This study aims to examine its problems, control and handling methods by analyzing Barcode System, one of the Material Handling Methods which are currently often used in medical industry, and improve the present unnecessary orders and handling methods to improve material control and handling methods related to medical supplies by applying these days appearing RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) System to material handling system. By this, it is expected that reduction of unnecessary inventory and exact information acquisition of goods will be possible. And by this, this study also aims to build and use closer cooperation system between hospitals and material system reducing time needed for material handling by controlling material flow effectively by taking advantage of them effectively.
