We deal with the target selection in seeker-detection image through network, using the detection information from aerial vehicle and the target information from surveillance and reconnaissance system. Especially, we constrain the sea battle environment, where it is difficult to perform scene-matching rather than land. In this paper, we suggest the target selection algorithm based on the confidence estimation with respect to distance and size. In detail, we propose the generation method of reference point for distance evaluation, and we investigate the effect of pixel margin and target course for size evaluation. Finally, the proposed algorithm is simulated and analyzed through several scenarios.

The application of TEM in investigating the evolution of microstructure during solid phase crystallization of the amorphous Si, $Si_{1-x}Ge_x,\;and\;Si_{1-x}Ge_x/Si$ films deposited on $SiO_2$ substrate, in identifying the failure mechanism of the TiN barrier layer in the Cu-metallization scheme, and in comparing the microstructure of the as-deposited Cu-Cr and Cu-Ti alloy films are discussed. First, it is identified that the evolution of microstructure in Si and $Si_{1-x}Ge_x$ alloy films strongly depends on the concentration of Ge in the film. Second, the failure mechanism of the TiN diffusion barrier in the Cu-metallization is the migration of the Cu into the Si substrate, which results in the formation of a dislocation along the Si {111} plane and precipitates (presumably $Cu_{3}Si$) around the dislocation. Finally, the microstructure of the as-deposited Cu-Cr and Cu-Ti alloy films is also quite different in these two cases. From these several cases, we demonstrate that the information which we obtained using TEM is critical in understanding the behavior of materials.
미 LPGA 한국선수들의 진출동기 및 성공에 대한 사회문화적 분석

In 2009, there were 47 Korean players participating on the LPGA Tour. Since Se Ri Pak began playing on the Tour, Korean players have been on the top of the world women`s golf with the record of six times Rookie of the Year Award given to Korean players, as well as 92 tournaments ended with Korean winners by the 2009 season. Their influx and success on the LPGA Tour raised continuous curiosity among world golf fans, and the amount of mass media and scholarly articles have dealt with the motives and reasons of the issues. However, most of the discussions seemed they were based not on the scientific investigations, but on writers` groundless guessing. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to socio-culturally and scientifically analyze motives of the influx and success of Korean players on the LPGA Tour, by conducting individual and group interviews with 11 Korean players enrolled in the LPGA in 2007 season, using semi-structured, open-ended interview questions. The findings of the study were as follow: 1) Lack of number of the tournaments and prize money of KLPGA Tour, such as annual average income of 9,000,000 won per one Korean professional women golfer, the dream of the LPGA Tour that Korean players have had since they were young kid, and longing for Se Ri Pak`s success played a significant role in the influx of Korean golfers to the Tour; 2) the great amount of practice that they arrive earliest and leave latest the driving ranges, intensive effort, obvious goal, many-sided and self-sacrificing assistance from Korean players` parents, Koreans` unique strong mentality, and comparative spirit among Korean players turned out to be the reasons with which they were able to be on the top of the world women`s golf.
스털링 엔진을 이용한 태양열 발전 시스템 개발 연구 동향

A high percentage of the total electricity production relying on thermal power plants has caused critical issues regarding environmental pollution and depletion of fossil fuels. As a result, numerous researches are being conducted to reduce the dependancy on fossil-based energy and utilize greener energy such as solar and wind. Solar energy utilization can be categorized in two folds. One is photovoltaic power generation that needs to be more cost-effective although it is considered a promising technology in the future. The other is solar power generation currently employed in some areas near in the equator using heliostat or solar troughs. In addition, some researching groups have developed a solar power generation system consisting of a dish type solar receiver with stirling engine. Those system requires large space; thereby, not suitable in Korea. In this study, preliminary experiments were carried out to develop a solar power generation system using a small-sized stirling engine that could produce electricity of 46 mW. The better design of the system is expected to improve the system efficiency and the experimental data obtained in this study will be used for other various applications.
하천과 물을 주제로 하는 박물관에 관한 기초적 연구 - 일반시민 대상 설문조사 통계분석에 기초하여 -

본 연구는 우리 국민의 하천과 물에 대한 의식과 하천을 주제로 하는 박물관에 대한 의식을 파악하여 하천·물을 주제로 하는 박물관의 기본방향을 검토한 것이다. 일반 국민을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고, 이를 통계적으로 분석, 고찰하여 차후 하천·물을 주제로 하는 박물관의 기본방향 도출, 박물관의 콘텐츠 구성 등 박물관 계획에 필요한 기초적 자료로서 활용하고자 한다. 분석을 통해, 하천·물에 대한 관심, 교육·학습의 필요성, 관련 박물관의 필요성, 박물관 방문 의사가 매우 높게 나타났다. 또한 이용형태, 이용목적, 박물관 콘텐츠 및 세부 콘텐츠별 중요도, 교육적 가치 선호도 등을 종합적으로 고찰하여, 하천·물을 주제로 하는 새로운 박물관에서는 ‘멀티타겟팅 전략’, ‘미래지향적 콘텐츠 마련’, ‘평생교육의 장으로서의 방안 마련’이 중요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다. This study examined the basic direction of museums with the theme of rivers and water by grasping Korean citizen’s awareness on rivers and water and the museums with the theme of rivers and water. We will conduct a survey for the general public, analyze the survey results statistically, and use the results as basic data necessary for museum planning, such as deriving the basic direction of a museum with the theme of rivers and water and organizing the museum contents. Through the analysis, it was found that interest in rivers and water, the need for education and learning, the need for related museums, and the intention to visit the museum were very high in the general public. In addition, by comprehensively examining the type of use, importance of each museum content and detailed content, and preference for educational value, it was foundthat ‘multi-targeting strategy’, ‘future-oriented content preparation’, and ‘preparation of the space for lifelong education’ are important in new museums with the theme of rivers and water.
Zigbex를 이용한 미아 위치 추적 시스템에서의 위치정보 서비스

미아를 포함한 어린이들의 안전사고 예방과 해결책에 IT기술이 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ZigbeX를 이용한 미아 위치 추적 시스템을 구성하는데 필요한 위치정보 서비스에 대해 기술한다. 통신 노드로부터 수집된 위치정보들은 서버프로그램, 데이터베이스와 일관되게 연동되고 편리한 웹 인터페이스로 제공된다.
