A PRIDE cadmium distiller can distill cadmium and salt from a LCC(Liquid Cadmium Cathode) deposit in both an electrowinning and a residual actinide recovery equipments. The LCC deposit is a mixture of U/RE/Cadmium metal alloy covered with LiCl-KCl eutectic salt which are put in a alumina crucible. When the LCC deposit at the upper part of a distiller vessel is distilled at vacuum, the cadmium and eutectic salt are evaporated and condensed at the lower part and the U/RE metal powders remains. The PRIDE Cadmium distiller consists of distiller vessel, furnace, vacuum pump and control panel assemblies and its capacity is 10 kg-cadmium per batch in an argon cell. The distiller was designed for easy remote operation using MSM, BDSM and crane. Design of the distiller was checked through 3D simulation tests and improved through remote control tests using mock-up equipment. The PRIDE cadmium distiller shall be operated and repAred according to the remote operation and maintenance procedure. When this equipment was set up in PRIDE, the whole equipment was transferred by overhead crane and was set up at appointed spot of PRIDE argon cell after it was entered into argon cell through transfer lock. We derived operation of equipment and improved its device according to conservative assessment factors by accomplishing blank test related to operability test of driving part and process parameter for start-up test. Therefore PRIDE cadmium distiller after the blank test device was advanced and supplemented.

These metals are used for catalystic process, electronic and electrochemical industries, anti-corrosion alloys, dental applications etc. The demand of noble metals continues to grow in a steady manner. Many techniques for separation and recovery of the platinum group metals have been studied. In this paper, batch experiments were carried out to investigate ion exchange characteristics of platinum group metals by commercial anion exchange resins such as IRN 78 and Dowex 1x8. The effects of ionic group of resins, solution temperature, co-ions, and the concentration of nitric acid were investigated.

The information display control system is designed and implemented on an automobile in which the conventional panel displays are replaced by electronic ones. The system hardware consists of three main parts, i. e., (i) the function select keyboard (ii) the central processing unit (iii) the displays, The system software consists of main routine and several interrupt service routine such as keyboaiuand display interrupt service routine:. The main routine handles various sensor inputs to generate the appropriate information for the driver such as running speed, available fuel quantity. coolant temperature, battery voltage, remaining distance to the destination , time of day, and so on. Finally the results of the field test of the system and some associated difficulties of realization problems are discussed. 자동차의 패널에 전자식 표시장치를 도입하고, 마이크로프로셋서를 사용하여 운전자에게 차의 동작상태 및 여행자료와 같은 정보를 표시하는 정보 표시시스템(information display system)을 설계 개발하였다. 본 시스템의 하드웨어로는 기능 선택 keyboard, 중앙 처리장치 표시공(displays)등이 있으며, 소프트웨어로는 여러 가지 감지기(Sensors)의 입력으로 부터, 주행속도, 사용 가능한 연료량, 냉긱수 은도, 바테리전압, 목적지까지 남은 거리, 현재의 시긱등 12가지의 여행자료등 운전자가 원하는 정보로 바꾸어 주는 main routine을 비롯하여, keyboard 및 연splay를 위한 interrupt service routine으로 구성하였다. 마지막으로, 본 시스템을 실제로 실장시험한 결과와 문제점을 논의하였다.
