플렉시블 OLED 패시베이션용 유기 박막 제작 및 특성

Polyimide thin film was prepared by annealing the polyamic acid that was synthesized through co-deposition of diamine and dianhydride. The polyamic acid and polyimide thin film were characterized with FT-IR and HR FE-SEM. The average roughness of the film surface, evaluated with AFM, were 0.385 nm and 0.299 nm after co-deposition, and annealing at 120 ℃ respectively. OLED was passivated with the polyimide layer of 200 nm thickness. While the inorganic passivation layer enhances the WVTR of OLED, the organic passivation layer gives flexibility to the OLED. The in-situ passivation of OLED with organic thin film layer provides the leading technique to develop flexible OLED Display.
고효율 장수명의 Flexible OLED 디스플레이를 위한 in-situ Passivation System 개발

본 연구에서는 OLED 소자 및 패시베이션 박막을 하나의 시스템에서 동시에 제작하여 진행할 수 있는 in-situ passivation 클러스터 시스템을 개발하고 이러한 시스템을 이용하여 OLED 디스플레이 제작 및 특성을 연구함으로써 플렉시블 디스플레이에 적용할 수 있는 기술을 구현하였다. In-situ passivation을 이용한 OLED의 제작 및 특성분석에 관하여 연구하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, In-situ 시스템으로 OLED 소자 제작 및 박막 패시베이션 가능한 시스템을 자체적으로 구축하였으며, 패시베이션 박막을 제작하여 그 특성을 평가한 결과 본 시스템의 응용 가능성을 제시할 수 있었다. 둘째, SiO₃, SiNx 무기 박막을 PECVD 방법으로 제작하여 OLED 패시베이션 박막으로 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과, in-situ passivation 시스템의 적용 가능성을 확인할 수 있었고, 플렉시블 디스플레이에 적합한 패시베이션 방법으로서의 구현 가능성을 제시하였다. This study focused on the development of in-situ passivation system and characterization of OLED display. The thin film passivation process with thin film layers was investigated using in-situ passivation technique in the cluster system. Thin films of SiO₂, SiNx passivation were manufactured using PECVD, which enables the deposition process at room temperature. The cluster system was created to develop in-situ passivation process, which OLED and thin film were fabricated in the cluster system without exposing to the atmospheric environment. It is expected that the in-situ passivation system of OLED with organic and inorganic layer provides the leading technique to develop flexible OLED.
PECVD에 의한 OLED 소자의 Thin Film Passivation 특성

The relatively short lifetime is a major obstruction for the commercial applications of OLED. One of the reason for the short lifetime is that the organic materials are interacted with water or oxygen in the atmosphere. Protection of water or oxygen from diffusing into the organic material layers are necessary to increase the lifetime of OLED. Although encapsulation of OLED with glass or metal cans has been established, passivation methods of OLED by organic/inorganic thin films are still being developed. In this paper we have developed in-situ passivation system and thin film passivation method using PECVD by which deposition can be performed at room temperature. We have analyzed the characteristics of the passivated OLED device also. The WVTR (Water Vapor Transmission Rate) for the inorganic thin film mono-layer can be reached down to 1×10-2 g/m2·day and improved lifetime can be obtained. Thin film passivation methods are expected to be applied to flexible display.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop a standard tool for pattern identification of radiation pneumonitis. Methods: Textbooks, published studies, and references with comments about patterns were reviewed. Through the Delphi method, we determined pattern identifications based on advice from a committee of experts composed of 13 Korean respiratory internal medicine professors. Results: Using the Delphi method, four pattern identifications were chosen: Qi Deficiency (氣虛), Yin Deficiency (陰虛), Heat Toxin (熱毒), and Phlegm Dampness (痰濕). The tool was developed in a question-and-answer format with 35 questions. Conclusions: A pattern identification tool that can discriminate the patterns of radiation pneumonitis for standardized diagnosis was developed through expert consultation. Further study of its validity and reliability is necessary.

Objectives: Gastro-esophageal reflux-induced chronic cough is not easy to diagnose and treat. In this study, three patients diagnosed with this disease were treated with Ojeok-san plus Saengmaek-san. Methods: Three patients with chronic cough, suspected to be gastro-esophageal and reflux-based, were diagnosed according to symptoms and abdominal examinations. They were treated with the herbal medicine, Ojeok-san plus Saengmaek-san. To evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment, a visual analogue scale (VAS) for measuring the severity of a cough and the Korean version of the Leicester Cough Questionnaire (LCQ-K) were used to determine the patients' quality of life. Results: After administration of Ojeok-san plus Saengmaek-san, the severity of the patients' coughing decreased based on VAS scores and quality of life improved based on LCQ-K scores for all patients. Conclusions: Ojeok-san plus Saengmaek-san is a potent therapeutic agent for gastro-esophageal reflux-induced chronic cough.

Objective: This case report describes the treatment of hemoptysis in a bronchiectasis patient with Hyunggaeyungyo-tang plus Gamijihwang-tang. Methods: The hemoptysis in this patient was suspected to result from bronchiectasis, which was diagnosed with a chest CT at another hospital. She was treated with a herbal medicine, Hyunggaeyungyo-tang, plus Gamijihwang-tang. The effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated by measuring the amount of hemoptysis and by a visual analogue scale (VAS) to determine the patient's quality of life. Results: After administration of Hyunggaeyungyo-tang plus Gamijihwang-tang, the severity of hemoptysis decreased, based on the amount of hemoptysis and the VAS scores. Conclusions: Hyunggaeyungyo-tang plus Gamijihwang-tang is a potent therapeutic agent for the treatment of hemoptysis.
고속도로 휴게소의 소형소각로에서 배출되는 대기오염물질 조사

The physicochemical properties of solid wastes generated from seven highway service areas, four branch offices, and one construction site were analyzed in concert with air pollutants including heavy metals emitted from near-by small-scale incinerators. The amount of solid wastes generated from highway areas has been increasing with recent increases in the number of highways and passengers. Twelve incinerators examined in this study generally had capacity smaller than 100 kg/hr, most of which were equipped with cyclone for dust removal. It was seen that the concentrations of the gas-phase air pollutants (e.g., SO$_2$, NO$_{x}$, HCl and H$_2$S) were above the acceptable emission standards except one or two sites. CO concentrations at all incinerators were also higher due to incomplete combustion. In addition, particulate matters showed concentration six times higher at their maximum. The results of heavy metal analysis showed that the concentrations of Cu, Cd, and Ni satisfied the emission standards. whereas Pb at one site and Zn at five sites exceeded the standards. Cr measurement results indicated that 9 of 12 incinerators had higher values than the standard; especially one branch office showed nine times higher than normal concentration. In order to satisfy more stringent emission standards in the near future, it is necessary to install air pollution control system and to develop an intensified management plan.n.
