        루이스 설리반과 아돌프 로스의 '기능'과 '장식'의 진의(眞意)와 그 연관성에 관한 고찰

        One of the most notable architectural aphorisms in modern period must be undeniably Louis Sullivan's, 'Form Follows Function.' The aphorism has been not only an important source of new aesthetic but also an formal principle of machine age. Other most famous source in order to justify modern aesthetic was the short essay by an cynical critic, Adolf Loos(1870-1933), 'Ornament and Crime' of 1908. Apart from what the essay asserted it is also famous for the influence of Sullivan's architectural notion during Loos' States staying. For Architectural historians of the early 20th century this connection is so useful to create a legacy of modern architecture. The historians seemed to believe that Loos understanded Sullivan's aphorism on which the historians wanted to focused. When we however look into two buildings designed and built in the period of publishing both aphorism and essay there must be a big fissure between the buildings and the historians interpretations. With this view point this study aims at showing the true meanings of Sullivan's aphorism and Loos' essay and also the big difference between the machine age's aesthetic and theirs.

        이성주의의 기억말소와 비올레 르 ??의 근대건축이론

        Since he was a leading figure in nineteenth century architecture, Viollet-le-Duc's architectural theory is crucial to the foundation of modern architecture. He has been called a Gothic Revivalist, a Structural Rationalist and a Positivist. The first title was perhaps due to his vigorous restoration of Gothic works such as $N\hat{o}tre$ Dame, but he did not adore the Gothic style just for itself. Rather, he hoped to deduce some principles from the style. So how did he manage this? In his book "Entretiens sur l'Architecture (Lectures on Architecture), published between 1864 and 1872, he mentions using Descartes' four rules for reaching architectural certainty in contrast with the chaotic situation during that modernising period. Furthermore Viollet-le-Duc's theory can be seen as a serious attempt to translates Descartes' philosophical rules into systems of architectural speculation. Descartes' four rules of doubt are anchored in mathematical propositions, and without mathematical distinctions, none of these rules are valid. In other word, mathematics for Viollet is the yardstick of judgement between distinctness and indistinctness. Many architectural problems arise from this view. In this paper, the validities of applying Descartes' method of doubt to architectural discourse will be discussed in order to address the question:-Did Viollet-le-Duc clearly grasp Cartesian method by which memory was erased from the world?

        근접장에서 가상 합성 배열을 이용한 수중 이동체의 토널 소음 측정 방법

        수중 이동체의 토널 소음 분석을 위하여 수신 배열 시스템이 적용되고 있지만 설치와 운용에 어려움이 있으며, 많은 비용이 필요하다. 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 하나의 수신기를 이용하여 가상 배열을 합성한 후 수중 이동체의 토널 소음을 측정하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 수중 음원의 이동으로 인하여 발생하는 도플러 주파수와 시간 지연을 보정하고, 초점 빔 형성 기법을 적용하였다. 모의실험을 통해 제안한 방법의 성능을 분석하였다. A receiving array system can be applied for tonal noise analysis of underwater vehicles, but it is difficult to install and operate, and a lot of cost is required. In order to overcome this problem, this paper proposes a method to measure the tonal noise of underwater vehicle after synthesizing a virtual array using single receiver. The proposed method compensates the Doppler frequency and time delay caused by the movement of the underwater sound source and applies the focused beamforming technique. The performance of the proposed method was analyzed via simulation.

        위성 탑재 영상레이다의 온보드 데이터 압축을 위한 비정수배 데시메이션 필터 최적화 설계 기법

        The on-board processor of satellite Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) digitizes the back-scattered echoes and transmits them to the ground. As satellite SAR image of various operating conditions including broadband and high resolution is required, an enormous amount of SAR data is generated. Decimation filter is used for data compression to improve the transmission efficiency of these data. Decimation filter is implemented with the FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter and here, the decimation ratio and tap length are constrained by resource requirements of FPGA used for implementation. This paper suggests to use a non-integer ratio decimation filter in order to optimize the data transmission efficiency. Also, it proposes a filter design method that remarkably reduces the resource constraints of the FPGA in-use via applying a polyphase filter structure. The required resources for implementing the proposed filter is analysed in this paper.

        방사선 조사후 골무기질 함량의 변화에 관한 실험적 연구

        N/A Irradiation is widely used for the treatment of malignant diseases, and possibly cause the osteoporosis. The densitometry and bone scintigraphy are valuable when used to monitor the patients longitudinally to access the progression of osteoporosis and risk of osteoradionecrosis. To evaluate the osteoporosis after irradiation of Cobalt-60 gamma ray on the lumbar spines of New Zealand white rabbits, bone densitometry by dual photon absorptiometry and bone scintigraphy were perfomed weekly. The decrease of bone density began at the first week after irradiation, and were in the nadir at 4-6th week. The osteoblastic activity measured by bone scintigraphy decreased in the first week, and was in the nadir at 4-6th week. The severity of these changes were related to the radiation dose. In conclusion, the osteoporosis before the presentation of the osteoradionecrosis can be diagnosed early with the dual photon absorptionmetry and bone scintigraphy.

      • 인위적 지연성 근통증 유발 후 스트레칭과 저온침수 스트레칭이 근통증 지표 및 운동기능에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 20대 남자대학생 18명(통제그룹 6명, 스트레칭 그룹 6명, 저온침수 스트레칭 그룹 6명)을 대상으로 인위적 지연성 근통증 유발 후(24시간, 48시간, 72시간) 스트레칭과 저온침수 스트레칭이 근통증 지표와 운동기능에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 연구를 위해 인위적 지연성 근통증을 유발시켜 시각적 통증척도와 압통 역치, 관절 가동범위 그리고 최대 등척성 근력의 변화를 살펴보았으며, 그룹과 시기간의 평균차이 검정을 위하여 반복측정에 의한 이원변량 분석(two-way ANOVA)을 실시하였다. 연구의 결과를 종합해보면, 지연성 근통증을 유발시킨 후 저온침수 스트레칭은 시각적 통증척도와 관절 가동범위 회복에 도움을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또 한 지상에서의 스트레칭은 두 그룹보다 압통 역치에 도움을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 스트레칭이 지상과 저온침수 두 그룹에서 지연성 근육통에 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 지상에서 보다 저온침수상태에서 스트레칭을 할 경우 근통증과 관절의 가동범위 개선에 효과가 있을 것으로 생각된다. This study was to designed to examine the effect of stretching and stretching in cold bath on after artificial delayed onset of muscle soreness(DOMS) on muscle pain and muscular function. Eighteen male collegiate student were volunteered to participate in the study. They were randomly dived into three groups(control, stretching, cold-stretching). Artificial DOMS was induced by the eccentric step exercise. Muscle pain(visual analogue scale; VAS, pressure threshold; PT) and muscular function(range of motion; ROM, maximal isometric muscle strength; MIMS) were measured during recovery period(24h, 48h, 72h). Two-way ANOVA was performed by repeated measures for the mean difference between group and period. Based on these results, it was concluded that stretching on the ground and in cold water can be a positive influence on the pain index and ROM after DOMS. Furthermore, stretching in cold water seems to be more effective than stretching on the ground.

        전전 일본의 한센병 환자 격리정책과 국책영화 <작은 섬의 봄(小島の春)

        This article analyzed the historical and ideological background of the movie <Spring on a Small Island>. First of all, this study pointed out why the Japanese government pursued an all-out and aggressive quarantine policy in the 1930s, the influence of eugenics thought, and the Western view of leprosy as an epidemic disease in the colony. The act of quarantining a patient with leprosy disease into a sanatorium has been dubbed as slogans such as “purification of the motherland” and “purification of the nation”. This was a slogan based on eugenics that resonated with “national hygiene,” and was a different action from quarantine measures against other infectious diseases. The film <Spring on a Small Island>, produced in the background of this era, has been known to film researchers as a movie depicting “humanism” under the name of “bungei-eiga(literary film)”. This paper revealed that this explanation was actually an evaluation that accepted the propaganda phrase at the time according to the planning intention of the commercial department at the time. This article also analyzed how the film tried to express the national policy of ‘purifying the motherland’ visually. <Spring on a Small Island> had close cooperation with the authorities from production to screening. The most important expression for patients with leprosy disease was found to be suppressed as it did not fit into a “purified” country, and at the same time, the use of the word “quarantine” was also suppressed. The film did not take into account the narrative that they were excluded from society by not describing realistically about patients with leprosy disease. Rather, by replacing the beautiful scenery with the patient s expression, the scenery served as a metaphor for a bright and hopeful place away from the place where they currently live, and gave the audience a sense of mission to guide the patients with leprosy into such a bright scenery.
