A sheared Racz catheter in cervical epidural space for thirty months -a case report-

Percutaneous epidural neuroplasty may lead to complications such as hematoma, infection, epidural abscess, meningitis,hypotension, respiratory depression, urinary and fecal dysfunction, sexual dysfunction and paresthesia. Other technicalcomplications may include shearing or tearing, misplacement, blockage and migration of the catheter. We report a caseof a 41-year-old female patient, who underwent surgical removal of a sheared catheter, which was retained for 30 monthsafter cervical Racz neuroplasty.

Oxyapatite[Ca2Nd8(SiO4)6O2] glass-ceramics have been suggested as wasteforms for the immobilisationof rare-earth radioactive nuclides because of their high waste-loading capability and good chemicaldurability. In particular, a partitioning effect is predicted to contribute to an enhancement of corrosionresistance in glass-ceramics compared with that of conjugate glasses of the same composition. Becauserare-earths are inherently insoluble nuclides, detection of changes in corrosion behavior between glassceramicsand conjugate glasses under normal conditions is not easy. In this study, therefore, we revealedthe partitioning effect by exposing glass-ceramics and glasses to solution of pH 2, 7 and 10 at 90 C for20 d. In addition, we proposed the corrosion mechanism for oxyapatite glass-ceramics under variouscorrosion conditions. Especially, the glassy phase dissolved first, followed by the oxyapatite phase duringpH 7 corrosion.
프라다 아오야마 에피센터 건축에서 나타나는 환경과 사물과 통합되는 다층적 물질성의 표면에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to analyze integration of the surface of Prada Aoyama Epicenter by Herzog & de Meuron. To understandvarious aspects of surfaces & constituents related, each elevations are analyzed minutely by distance both inside and outside. The results ofthis study were as follows; the individual surface of Prada Aoyama Epicenter sets a multi-layered relationship with the actual environment. Their architectural surface still has a significance in presenting a way of creating a building along with everyday surroundings. 본연구의 목적은 프라다 아오야마 에피센터의 표면에서 드러나는 통합성을 파악하고자 함에 있다. 표면과 관계하는 요인들의 다양한 양상을 밝히기 위해 각 면에 대해 안과 밖으로 거리에 따라 면밀히 분석한다. 분석의 결과 프라다 아오야마 에피센터는 유리표면을 통해 시선에 따라 다르게 반응하여 실제의 환경과 다층적인 관계를 맺으며 환경과 표면을 통합한다. 따라서 본연구가 우리가 마주하는 일상적인 주변 환경과 관계하는 건물 표면의 여러 성격을 규명하는 것의 출발점이 될 것을 기대한다.
