본 논문에서는 scan 전극과 common 전극 사이에 보조전극을 가진 PDP에서 asymmetry, long gap mode와 같은 새로운 구동방법을 제안한다. asymmetry mode에서 주전극의 가운데 부분에 위치한 보조전극은 리셋, 어드레스, 서스테인의 모든 구간동안 scan 또는 common 전극에 연결되어 있다. long gap mode에서는 전기적으로 끊어져있거나 초기 몇 개의 서스테인 펄스를 제외하고 서스테인 구간동안 Vs/2의 전압으로 유지된다. 제안된 구조와 구동 방법에서 전력에너지소비를 최소화함으로써 더 높은 발광효율을 얻을 수 있다. 새로운 구동방법의 효용은 다양한 Xe분압상태에서도 연구되었다.
신부전 요인에 의해 유발된 닭 신장변화의 병리학적 관찰 I. 병리조직학적 및 전자현미경적 관찰

Renal failure is one of the main causes of economic impacts in the poultry industry and complex syndrome with different severity of clinical signs caused by multiple nephropathogenic factors such as infectious bronchitis viral infection and excess salt and calcium in diet. To evaluate the correlation between severity of renal failure and the causative nephropathogenic factors, one-day-old specific pathogen free chicks were treated with either single causative factor or multiple causative factors described as above. Each group was designed as control for non-treated control, IB for infectious bronchitis virus (IB virus) infection, IBHNa for IB virus infection with high diet salt, IBHCa for IB virus infection with high diet calcium, IBHNC for IB virus infection with high diet salt and calcium, HNa for high diet salt, HCa for high diet calcium and HNC for high diet salt and calcium. Chickens were inoculated with IB virus at 1-day-old and remained on their respective diets until 21 day of age. The high dietary salt feeding groups such as IBHNa, IBHNC, HNa, HNC increased water intake, watery diarrhea, general subcutaneous edema and the high dietary calcium feeding groups such as IBHCa and IBHNC showed severe visceral gout. Two more than treated groups caused high mortality in comparison with the single treated groups. IB virus exposure significantly increased urate deposition and lymphocytic interstitial nephritis. Especially urate deposition dramatically increased when excess diet calcium was combined together. In excess diet salt treated groups enlarged edematous kidneys were observed and hypertrophy of glomeruli were showed. These results suggest that IB virus enhanced the incidence and severity on chicken renal failure clearly related to the quantity of salt and calcium.

Malignant thymoma is usually manifested as a mediastinal mass. Occasiomally, these tumors may be associated with a variety of systemic syndromes, such as myasthenia gravis, pure red cell aplasia or hypogammaglobulinemia However, it is generally accepted that thymomas rarely metastasize and the frequency of extrathoracic metastasis has been reported as 1 to 15%. In general, nuclear changes of tumor cells such as enlarged size, irregular shape and altered textures are determining factors in the assessment of the grade of malignancy. We experienced a case of malignant thymoma of anterior mediastinum in a 35-year-old woman. After 3 years, she developed recurrent malignant thymoma in the right supraclavicular area, diagnosed by aspiration biopsy cytology.

Chickens were inoculated with IB virus at 1-day-old and remained on their respective diets until 21 day of age. Plasma $Na^+$, $Cl^-$, BUN, creatinine, calcium and uric acid values were examined. The results obtained were as follows ; IB virus and high dietary calcium combined treatment showed elevated plasma uric acid. BUN and creatinine values were not characteristic on chicken renal failure. But plasma uric acid values were increased according to renal lesion. Hypercalcemia and hyperuricemia did not induce urate deposition and mineralization in the kidney.

IgA nephropathy is a common primary glomerulonephritis characterized by the deposition of IgA in glomerular mesangium. At clinical presentation the disorder may be macroscopic hematuria, often recurring in association with viral upper respiratory illness or with microscopic hematuria or proteinuria. Although the cause of primary IgA nephropathy is unknown, IgA nephropathy can be associated with systemic diseases, such as ankylosing spondylitis, Reiters`s syndrome, liver disease, and Sicca syndrome. We report a case of IgA nephropathy associated with rheumatoid arthritis. A 49-year-old woman, who has complaint of multiple joint swelling and pain, was presented with microscopic hematuria and proteinuria. Light microscopy showed mesangial and segmental endocapillary proliferative glomerulonephritis and immunofluorescence microscopy demonstrated segmental positive mesangial stainings for IgA and C3, consistent with IgA nephropathy. Treatment with anti-rheumatic medications and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor resulted in gradual disappearance of microscopic hematuria and proteinuria. Therefore, we suggest that IgA nephropathy may be associated with rheumatoid arthritis.
유비쿼터스 헬스케어를 위한 Zigbee/PLC 게이트웨이 시스템 구현

본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 헬스케어를 위한 Zigbee/PLC 게이트웨이 시스템을 구현하였다. 게이트웨이를 이용하여 Zigbee 통신과 전력선 통신 간의 원활한 정보 교환을 위한 프로토콜 변환 알고리즘을 설계 및 구현하였다. Zigbee/PLC 게이트웨이 시스템은 센서 모듈, Zigbee 모듈, 전력선 모뎀, 게이트웨이로 구성되며, 움직이는 물체가 무선 센서에 감지되면 Zigbee 모듈을 통해 게이트웨이로 전송된다. Zigbee/PLC 게이트웨이에서는 전송받는 데이터를 분석하여, 실시간 모니터링을 위해 전력선 통신망을 통해 외부로 전송된다. 구현된 시스템은 독거노인 활동량 분석, 방범 시스템, 홈 네트워크 서비스 등 다양한 분야에서 활용가능하다. In this paper, Zigbee/PLC gateway system is designed for Ubiquitous health care. A protocol conversion algorithm for smooth information exchange between Zigbee and PLC communication has been implemented on the gatway. If a moving object is detected by wireless sensor, the data is transmitted to gateway. Zigbee/PLC gateway analyzes received data and transmits to Power Line Communication for real-time monitoring. Implemented system is can support elder who lives alone activity analysis, crime prevention system, Home network service.

Recently automatic construction system is attended in construction domains because of the increase of aged workers and the shortage of the experienced. The research level of automatic construction system in Korea will soon attain to the stage of full automation like Japan, which is the highest level in the world. However, in the fully automated level, it is difficult for the automatic system to operate flexibly like the human in various work condition. In the result, the higher the level of automation in the system is, the less efficient the automatic system work in the site. So, it``s necessary the development material design to compensate for the flexibility shortage of the system. Therefore, this study proposes the development process to material design suitable for automatic construction system using QFD technique.
