This study performed thermal history simulation and strategy optimization for additive manufacturing of eye-shaped catenary clamps used in high-speed railway overhead lines. Instead of the conventional casting material CuAl10Fe2, SUS 316L material suitable for additive manufacturing and having good toughness was used. The thermal analysis simulation software for additive manufacturing was utilized to optimize the additive manufacturing strategy for the parts where heat diffusion was not sufficient. The optimized additive manufacturing strategy was verified by simulation while adding supports, and the accuracy of the simulation was confirmed by comparing the simulation results with the actual experimental results. The results of this study can provide useful guidelines for additive manufacturing of eye-shaped catenary clamps and can be applied to other parts with complex shapes.

Multi-Lobe 베어링 중에서 동수압적 Two-Lobe 저어널 베어링은 터보 기계류에서 널리 사용된다. 본 논문에서 Two-Lobe 베어링과 회전축을 설계 및 제작하였다. 그리고 Proximity Probe는 Two-Lobe 베어링 위에 지지되는 회전축의 궤적과 진폭을 측정하기 위하여 사용된다. 여기에서 변수는 회전속도이다. 따라서 회전축의 진동상태를 측정할 수 있다.
Selection of Optimal Welding Condition for GTA Pulse Welding in Root-Pass of V-Groove Butt Joint

In the manufacture of high-quality welds or pipeline, a full-penetration weld has to be made along the weld joint. Therefore, root-pass welding is very important, and its conditions have to be selected carefully. In this study, an experimental method for the selection of optimal welding conditions is proposed for gas tungsten arc (GTA) pulse welding in the root pass which is done along the V-grooved butt-weld joint. This method uses response surface analysis in which the width and height of back bead are chosen as quality variables of the weld. The overall desirability function, which is the combined desirability function for the two quality variables, is used as the objective function to obtain the optimal welding conditions. In our experiments,the target values of back bead width and height are 4 mm and zero, respectively, for a V-grooved buttweld joint of a 7-mm-thick steel plate. The optimal welding conditions could determine the back bead profile (bead width and height) as 4.012 mm and 0.02 mm. From a series of welding tests, it was revealed that a uniform and full-penetration weld bead can be obtained by adopting the optimal welding conditions determined according to the proposed method.
