C/C composites are lighter than metals and have excellent heat and electrical conductivity, and in order to maintain excellent physical properties even in harsh environments, various fields such as semiconductors, automobiles, rockets, nuclear power, EDM, mechanical seals, etc. and a certain importance is emerging. The high-density carbon block can be distinguished into a unidimensional system and a binary system according to the type of raw material. A system is a substance that requires a binder. In this study, a commercial coal tar pitch was heat-treated at a ramping rate of 2 to 10°C /min and 410 to 490°C to control the volatile content, β -resin content, molecttlar weight and etc. for production of semi-cokes. After that, the β-resin content of the heat-treated pitch was measured, and changes in the fixed carbon and volatile contents were investigated via proximate analysis (PA) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Then, MALDI-TOF I MS was measured in order to grasp the change in the molecular weight of the pitch depending on the rate of temperature rise. In addition, in order to understand the types of molecules generated in the heat treatment process of pitch, pyrolysis gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy (Py-GC/MS) was analyzed, and the reaction mechanism of pitch generated in the heat treatment process was understood.
Radiation-Induced Graft Copolymerization of Acrylic Acid onto Polyester

The radiation-induced graft polymerization of acrylic acid onto polyester fabric was investigated with accelerated electron beams as ratiation source at high dose rates. Homopolymerization was suppressed by addition of cations which is known as homopolymerization inhibitor, but this practical advantage was obtained at the expense of grafting efficiency. The rate of grafting (%/sec) was proportional to the 0.82th power of dose rates over the range from 1.6$\times$10$^{6}$ to 10$\times$10$^{6}$ rad/sec. The grafted polyester fabric showed considerable improvement in moisture regain and antistatic properties.

Vibration analysis for some of simple supported antisymmetric composite laminated plate loaded uniformly distributed axial force and attached mass was carried out. Because it is complicated to analysis this type of plate by theory of antisymmetric laminate, possibility for application of theory of special orthotropic laminate was studied, and natural frequency of laminated plate attached mass was calculated. Stiffness $B_{16}$, $B_{26}$, $D_{16}$, $D_{26}$ for this type of antisymmetric laminated plate converge on zero as the number of ply increases and it is possible to use classical theory by reason that considered plate has quasi-homogeneity without relevance to variation of angle. Difference between results by theory of antisymmetric and special orthotropic laminate is 0.36~1.96%, therefore it is convenient to analyze this by use of theory of special orthotropic laminate. When composite laminated plate with attached mass is analyzed range that was able to neglect self-weight of plate was proposed.

Circulatory disease is the number two cause of death next to cancer in Korea, while the cardiovascular disease alone is the number one cause of death in the US. In the present article, some background, current status and future prospects of biomedical engineering esearch on circulatory disorders are discussed in terms of the origin of atherosclerosis, computational fluid dynamics and medical imaging techniques, clinical treatments and fluid dynamics, advances in stents, hemodynamic analysis of artificial heart, and artificial blood. In particular, the importance of close collaboration of medicine and fluids engineering is emphasized.
CFD를 이용한 초고층 공동주택의 실내 환기량 분석 및 개선안 사례연구

This study is as a case study to make improvements on indoor ventilations by comparatively analyzing airflow rates in units of the high-rise residential building in which mechanical ventilation system mandated for the ventilation. Airflow rates of the applied ventilation modes was measured by tracer gas method while simultaneously conducting CFD simulations to investigate the air-age distribution of each mode. In summary of the study, air exchange rate under the infiltration and ordinary-time mode did not reach 0.7 ACH as the Korean STANDARD. Indoor airflows driven by all ventilation modes except for the planning and ordinary-time mode had lower than 0.25 m/s which was not sufficient to improve their air-age distributions. However, the kitchen hood pan with 350 CMH was predicted to well prevent the dispersion of food odor. Therefore, the ordinary-time ventilation should be increased over the STANDARD level by adding the various ventilation modes.

It can be said that this research has a purpose in proposing the improvement schemes of the position with a covered individual bunker which is operated presently in the army, and in this position, for protecting the hearing ability of the privates, maintaining the control of the army under command, and carrying out the constant mission, against the noise at shooting. With this flow, the K-2 rifle was used as the noise source, the progress of noise and the alteration of sound pressure were confirmed and analyzed how they progress in a bunker. Through researching the sound pressure of K-2, got information about the time of the pressure and frequency. And then, it was used the condition of internal sound pressure by applying computer simulation. Based on this process, the form of a bunker which is able to reduce the size and alteration of noise pressure rapidly was studied by repeating and analyzing the simulation constantly. To conclude, a new design scheme which is helpful to reduce effectively and rapidly the crashing noise produced at shooting was deduced. In summary, put the aisle in both side of a bunker inside and extend the rear opening from 0.9M to 1.9M.
